My Sorority Experience
...
|
Hello! from your login name I'm guessing you're at UT, and you've given quite a bit of identifying information in your post. To be cautious, I'd edit it ASAP before someone QFPs it.

UT = University of Texas/Longhorns |
Longhorn, you might also keep your ears open for informal rush opportunities. I don't think there will be a lot of that, but there may be some. That way you could start enjoying your sisterhood much sooner!
|
Hello, I would also suggest you take out some of the idenifying info.
That being said UT is a tough recruitment.. especially for upperclasman. I would encourage you to get good grades, find some clubs/activities and keep a good reputation |
Yes no one has QFP so edit your post.

UT=University of Tennessee
UT=University of Tampa UT=University of Toledo UT=University of Toronto In other words, "UT" often means something other than the University of Texas in all its many forms. It would be helpful if GreekChatters could specify. |

THanks everyone...but as for the ass hole comment and the rudeness for me calling myself pretty...i'm not looking for any of that here so i would appreciate it if you would keep those comments to yourself. they are unneccesary and are not helping my current situation. so please take your negativity elsewhere.

And btw, no one called you an asshole and no one has said anything about you calling yourself pretty. |
Hee, hee...newbie thinks she owns her thread. Dr.Phil and Sen know each other well so don't worry about the asshole comment. You should, however, be worrying about giving so much personal information out on a public website. We have a history here at GC of PNMs getting identified at recruitment from things they've said here. Practice a little discretion.

And it was a valid question, not a rude question at all. longhornbaby16, a word of advice: No one has been rude to you (the a-hole comment was not directed at you and was a playful exchange between to regular GCers), but you have consistently been given very good advice. You put enough information in your first post that you can easily be identified come recruitment time. As AOII Angel said, for better or worse, some posters who didn't practice some discretion have found that comments made at GC affected their recruitment experiences, sometimes severely. It has happened with posters going through recruitment at a number of schools, including Texas. So when people suggest that you edit your post and be careful what you say from now on, they are giving you very helpful advice you would do well not to ignore. |
thanks i plan on taking their advise for the future.. but now i regret posting and would like to get rid of this thread completely...how do i go about doing that..i dont wanna have to worry bout this anymore

The members on this forum can be very helpful when you heed their advice. Challenging them and getting an attitude only hurts yourself. |
Thanks! i wasnt trying to give attitude i just felt it was unnecessary...and yea thats why i came to this website because i figured i could get great advise! and i have thus far (:
|
@MC, should have specified that no one said anything derogatory about it. hate how slow I type on my phone and equally hate how I can't get GC at work anymore. Sorry, my bad! :o
