RIP Barq's
Our dog Barq's died this morning. :( He was 15-1/2--we've had him since January 1996, so he was definitely a part of our family. Thank God my husband was home--I don't know what I would have done!
The vet will be able to use his medicines, food and treats, bowls, bedding, and toys, so that makes me happy. |
:( So sorry for your loss. He is probably chasing my bunny around heaven right now!
I'm sorry to hear about your dog :(
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Hugs to you.

Thanks, y'all. It hasn't sunk in yet, but I'm sure there will be many moments when his absence will make me sad. He was my first dog (not my first pet though), and we called him our hairy son.
I'm so sorry... :(
So sorry to hear about B. I know you will miss him greatly.
So sorry to hear about Barq's. I've been there.
I'm thinking there must be a story behind his name. |
I'm so sorry to hear this....he had a wonderful name too...
Please accept my condolences for your loss. Dogs become family members, and losing them is never easy.
I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry, MSKKG. Sending you much love during this time.

To me, the most difficult part of losing a loved pet (dog, cat, horse - whatever) is that the animal is present in my life on a daily basis, just always there; good times, bad times, part of the day-to-day routine, and that leaves a huge canyon in my heart when that part of my life is finished. I miss every dog I've ever owned and I empathize with you, MSKKG.
I'm so sorry MSKKG. It's been 2 1/2 months since my furry child was sent to heaven and the lack of her presence is profound.
I am so sorry, MSKKG. Loss of a pet is rough.
Awwww, I'm so sorry to hear that! :( I have two Peek-A-Poos who are gettin' on up there, too. Butter is 16-years-old and her son, Baby, is 15-years-old. You'd better believe they're members of the family, and we're just preparing ourselves for this change, because they are so feeble now.
Dogs bring so much happiness families, so it's very tough to have to say goodbye. Be blessed, MSKKG, and just know that you are not alone. I'm sure Barq's is frollicking through doggie heaven now, so happy that he was loved by you. :) |
Aww....I too am sorry to hear you've lost Barq's. May you be comforted by many happy memories.

So sorry for your loss.

The loss of a pet is tough partly for the reason AzTheta mentioned. From now on, it will be like we have just come home from a trip and can't get Barq's from the kennel until the next day--I missed him then, and I will definitely miss him now. I'm sorry for the loss of everyone else's pets, too. Glad that this thread has let us commiserate together. Thanks to everyone again for your compassion and for your uplifting words. |
I'm so sorry to hear about Barq's. Feel free to mourn - the unfeeling people who would criticize you about it would criticize someone having a miscarriage.
I was there recently, and have still not completely gotten over my Beautiful Boy. This is knowing that I'll be getting another dog after I move - I will forever miss Buffy's silly ways! |
