Expected PNM Numbers
It is interesting to see the large numbers of women interested in Greek life. Could those connected with universities/colleges post their expected or actual numbers of PNMs?
Auburn----Expecting 1200 Alabama----Expecting 1700 |
Florida State's website says they are at just about 1100 right now and registration doesn't close for 3 more weeks
|
I heard last night that Auburn was up to 1,400.
Alabama hit 1,655 this morning. |
Thank you.:) I am hoping a member will post the number soon from Arkansas.
|
Arkansas - Between 1200-1300
|
Pray for the actives and Greek life staff
|

Or war, or Congress...

My alma mater is expecting numbers in the 300 range. That doesn't sound like a whole lot in comparison to Bama/Ole miss/etc., but they are up QUITE a bit over the last few years.
Quota went from like mid-teens/low 20s when I was active (just 5 years ago) to 40s last year. They're thinking it may hit 50 this year. |

Especially the congress part right now. |
They're expecting just over 500 PNMs at Iowa State again this year; on par with numbers from last year. That will put quota right around the 28-30 range, which is almost double from where numbers were 6 or so years ago.

Univ. of Georgia Numbers
Another member posted there are 1400 registered at Univ. of Georgia. Does anyone know how that compares to last year?
|
Mizzou numbers
Over 1600 women are registered for recruitment at Missouri - this will be interesting!

According to my daughter, University of Georgia has close to 1450 registered for rush this year. Last year was approximately 1275.
|
1,052 at LSU
|
Arizona
A member from Arizona reported 1212 for Univ. of Arizona.
|
Mississippi State - more than 600 - I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact number! But it is their biggest ever, she said. Recruitment is Aug. 10-15.
|
UGA's latest number is 1488 - up quite a bit from last year.
|
Oklahoma State starts on Monday! Last I heard they were expecting ~860.
|
My daughter heard through the grapevine that Kansas State is expecting about 800. I think they have been in the lower 600s for the last couple of years. The girls go back on Wednesday and will find out official numbers then. Her comment was "thank goodness Zeta colonized last year!"

WoooHoo! Go Pokes! Those are great numbers for OK State. Can't wait to hear how it goes. If anyone is posting here from Stillwater, keep us informed. |
Does anyone know about how many girls usually go through recruitment at Georgia Southern? Just curious; I know a few girls moving in next week (a week ahead of classes) to start the process.

It was reported in another thread there are 1311 registered at Auburn!

1496 total registered at UGA according to the list I got yesterday....

It sounds like this is going to be another big year for expansions on big Greek campuses! I wonder how soon we'll start hearing those rumblings?

Its too bad that even though there might be a need for expansion, there are too many barriers for success of it.

[QUOTE=28StGreek;2077167] These schools must be in a very, very, very small percentage of the NPC community.[QUOTE]
From a friend who is administration at a smaller state university, school enrollment numbers are up all over the country, thanks to the economy. Few jobs = stay in school. Quote:

Ole Miss hasn't closed registration yet to my knowledge (I think it closes September 19). But I know the Recruitment Chairmen on campus were told to expect larger numbers this year. Apparently, enrollment is up and the freshmen class is the biggest one yet. It is my understanding the recruitment chairmen were told to plan for 100 new members on Bid Day.

Latest Update on Numbers
At some universities there is still time to register, but these are the latest posted here. Please add numbers if you have later news........
Auburn 1311 Alabama 1741 Arizona 1212 LSU 1052 Mississippi State 600 Missouri 1600 Univ. of Georgia 1496 |
Official number from the Kansas State Recruitment Facebook page: 759. Largest in history for K-State. Actives go back today, parties start on Sunday August 14th.
|
I heard Iowa has record registration going too, but I think they might have a short memory. In the 80's the chapters were bigger than they are today and there were 2 more chapters than now. I think something like 800 girls went through rush versus something like 600 recently. But in the recent past anyway, numbers are up at Iowa!
|
FSU posted they're at 1300, a record for the school
|
Alabama Panhellenic (@UAGreekAffairs) just posted on t_witter that there are 1737 PNMs signed up this year.
|
U of TN-Knoxville: 816 signed up....I can't remember how many they had last year.
