Recruitment starts today for Alpha Iota! This is the earliest that I can ever remember it being (before class starts)...bid day is Saturday, and I'll post results when I hear them!

^^^^If I recall correctly, this year Northeastern State kicks off recruitment season with the earliest recruitment in the country (even earlier than Auburn this year.)

I have no idea why it's so early! When I joined, it started the Tuesday after Labor Day! It was also before school last year (or maybe the first week of classes), and I remember that numbers didn't go down too much (which I thought it would). I must say that having recruitment before classes start is a nice change, as it eliminates late nights and being sleepy in classes the next day! I'm wondering if it was so early this year so as not to conflict with Rookie Bridge Camp (the freshman experience/orientation camp). I feel for everyone, though...not sure what the temperature is in Tahlequah, but it's 115 today in Tulsa! Luckily, all the recruitment activities are indoors...either in the University Center or in the chapter rooms that are in the dorms!
