Casey Anthony Trial

Who is following/watching? Thoughts?

DeltaBetaBaby 05-27-2011 02:14 PM

She is so guilty, that I think this should be mandatory watching for any politician who wants to make it harder to obtain birth control.

DaffyKD 05-27-2011 02:37 PM

I still can't get over the mother not reporting her child missing for over a month. If either of my kids were to go missing, I would have had search parties out looking for them within minutes of my discovering their disappearance.

Well the reason she didn't report her kid missing is because she KILLED the kid, right? A little bit of a difference there.

I believe she did kill the girl. She is now alleging that the little girl drowned. Yeah, she may have drowned after her mother held her head under the water.

You know, I was all for Casey Anthony possibly being innocent until her mother just magically changed her story and decided that her daughter had nothing to do with this (when she originally didn't care who went to jail as long as someone found her grandkid.) That says to me that mom knows something the rest of us don't (or we do, according to this thread.)

Is Casey an only child? I can see the parents trying to "save" Casey from a life sentence in prison even though they know that she killed Caylee. I can only imagine how hard it is to lose a grandchild THEN your daughter too.

Nah, she has a brother.

Psh. Google searches for "chloroform" are not suspicious at ALL.

oh she is guilty as sin.
If they find her ass guilty, I hope that bitch fries

ThetaPrincess24 05-28-2011 08:10 AM

The more I watch this case, the more perplexed I become. At first like many, based on photographs, I would have said Casey is guilty, and she may very well be guilty of the death and cover up, but this whole family has acted strange & changed stories so many times from the start, it's hard to know what the truth actually is.

honeychile 05-28-2011 03:03 PM

Casey Anthony's attorney is just throwing everything up against the wall to see what sticks. Who knows? Maybe Caylee died while her mother was out partying? No matter what, there's a dead child, and an entire family who didn't report a missing two-year-old. If she gets off, I want that attorney to defend me if I ever go psycho.

Oh, just in case you didn't realize, that was a long winded way of saying guilty as sin.

thetaj 05-31-2011 02:06 PM

Here's a great article from CNN that tells the story very well: Casey Anthony jurors hear recordings of 911 call, call from jail

All of the names confuse the hell out of me sometimes

DrPhil 05-31-2011 06:13 PM

Regardless of personal opinions of guilt and what Nancy Grace, et al. say, it's wonderful that she can be innocent until proven guilty and can have an attorney who can go to bat for her...or prepare a guilty plea.

katydidKD 05-31-2011 08:38 PM

It's a shame her attorney is going to bat for her by attacking her father unsuccessfully, though. He is ticking the judge off, rightfully so.

BetteDavisEyes 07-03-2011 11:31 AM

Closing arguments today!

I'm laughing at the defense attorney insisting that the prosecutions portrayal of Casey as a slut, party girl & liar are incorrect. Ummm...what trial has he been at? She IS a liar & party girl. DUH!

Casey's crocodile tears are so fake & pathetic. I hope the jury notices this.

KSUViolet06 07-03-2011 01:49 PM

I think the most awful part of the whole thing is the "my dad is the real criminal here" part. Really, defense attourney?

Yeah. I thought that was a rather desperate attempt.

I wonder how long the jury will deliberate? A few hours? A few days? A few weeks?? :)

Munchkin03 07-03-2011 02:15 PM

This is so weird to me that I'm not even sure where to begin.

Zany the Nanny?

The parents covering up for her lies?

The molestation accusations?

KSUViolet06 07-03-2011 03:13 PM

This is one of those cases where the bigger debate is probably not her guilt (VERY surprised if she's found not guilty) so much as it will be whether or not to spare her life.

BetteDavisEyes 07-03-2011 03:52 PM

Wow! The defense attorney's closing argument has me rolling my eyes right up until the moment he got all heated & the judge stopped for a recess, presumable to yell at him for his comments towards the prosecution. Insane!

BetteDavisEyes 07-03-2011 03:59 PM

He seems either over-the-top at times or like he's frantically trying to cast the blame at anyone else other than Casey. It's as if he wants the jury to put the blame on George and not on Casey.

The whole trial is just bizarre. Just find the psycho bitch guilty & toss her ass in prison. :)

I know nothing about sex abuse/haven't experienced it/etc. but every professional is saying casey would NEVER leave her daughter with her father or brother if they molested/raped her. makes sense to me.

Jeff Ashton hit the nail on the head when he said baez wants the jurors to forget common sense and jump down the rabbit hole where loving grandfathers cover up the drowning of their beloved granddaughter and drop her in the swamp

BetteDavisEyes 07-04-2011 10:48 AM

The prosecutor is replaying the jailhouse tapes of Casey during their rebuttal. Wow! Casey is such a flaming bitch! I've heard them before but they really remind you that she is a bitch & a horrible person towards her parents. She just bitched more about wanting her boyfriends phone number than wanting to discuss her little girl.

honeychile 07-04-2011 01:40 PM

I keep thinking about the hundreds of thousands of couples in this country who would have PAID to take in little Caylee, rather than see her die!

katydidKD 07-04-2011 02:25 PM

Yep, all the people clearing out their savings for in vitro and what not to just have the chance for a baby, have to hear about this

People who cleared out their savings for in vitro have always had the option of adopting children, though. Good ole American foster children at that.

"if something happened to caylee I'll die"
"calling you guys was a waste. big waste"

BetteDavisEyes 07-05-2011 09:49 AM

Day 2 of deliberations. I think the jury will come to a verdict today. *shrugs* We'll see. I'm laughing b/c one of the channels (HLN, I think) has a countdown clock as to how long the jury has been deliberating. At this point, it's been 7 hours & the commentators keep coming to remind you (in case you can't see the big countdown clock) as to how long they've been deliberating.

I still don't buy her "I'm innocent" act. Throwing her parents under the bus & trying to cast the blame on them through false allegations of molestation & cover-ups? Lying about working at Universal? Multiple stories to police? Zanny the non-existant nanny? Yah. That screams lying bitch to me.

MaggieXi 07-05-2011 10:03 AM

I think she will be convicted with life in prison, but I would not be surprised if her attorney filed an appeal.

I agree. I don't think for one second they'll give her the death penalty but I do think she'll get life in prison. There is one juror that for the longest time kept saying he'd have a hard time giving anyone the death penalty regardless of their crime. Attitudes like that especially towards women who commit crimes makes me believe life in prison is what she'll get.

Yeah, her attorney will definitely file an appeal. It's standard.

ThetaPrincess24 07-05-2011 01:29 PM

Verdict reached. Will be announced in 30 minutes!

As soon as I saw your post, I clicked my TV back to the news & off of womens world cup soccer. Your thoughts?

I'm guessing Guilty of 2nd degree murder & guilty of some of the lesser counts like lying to the police, etc. As long as her ass goes to prison for life, I'll be ok with the decision. If she walks, I'm losing a lot of faith in the justice system.

I think she is guilty, but I dont think they will give her the death penalty either, so I agree with you. I just hope this doesnt turn in to another O.J. case.

From your mouth to God's ears. I truly hope it doesn't come to this.

BetteDavisEyes 07-05-2011 02:18 PM

Bullshit. What bullshit. She should have gotten 1st degree murder. What a fucking crock.

AnotherKD 07-05-2011 02:20 PM

Oh. My. God. Only providing false information?! Agreed- complete bullshit.
