I've seen this on several news sources. This is going to work wonders on this young girl's self esteem.

She shouldn't be so wrinkly about the face!

It makes me sick that a mother can literally be poisoning her daughter in the name of beauty.

It does make me feel less horrible for bribing my kids with ice cream for doing well at their portfolio pic shoot.

I never understood why she did that. What 8 year old has wrinkles?!

This mother has major issues. I saw this morning that the daughter is no longer living with Mommy Dearest.

On the bright side, the kid now has the skin of a 5 year old.

And 5 is the new 3

So, apparently, the mom is not who she says she is..

Turns out the mom who says she gave her 8-year-old daughter Botox beauty treatments doesn't actually live in San Francisco.

Nor, for that matter, is her real name Kerry Campbell.

San Francisco officials were deluged with inquiries last week after the woman went on ABC's "Good Morning America" and said she was administering Botox injections to her 8-year-old daughter to give her a better chance of winning child beauty contests. She said she was a trained esthetician and that the girl's name was Britney. The city said it would look into it all.

Reporters were unable to track down a San Francisco address or phone number for the woman. Our sources tell us that's because she doesn't live here and isn't Kerry Campbell.

San Francisco Human Services Director Trent Rhorer declined to comment on the matter Monday, citing confidentiality laws in juvenile cases. But he did say that "we have completed our investigation, and we are no longer involved in the case."

In California, county welfare agencies have jurisdiction only over families that reside in their counties.

As for the woman's true identity and where she actually lives, that remains unclear -- but apparently, she isn't a Bay Area resident. How much of the rest of her story was on the level -- the Botox, the child beauty contests -- also is not known.

ABC News, citing unnamed sources, said child welfare officials where the family lives removed the girl from her home over the weekend.

"Good Morning America" picked up the original story from the British tabloid The Sun, which reported back in March that Kerry Campbell was a 34-year-old former beautician from Birmingham, England, who had moved to San Francisco. The paper quoted the mom as saying, "What I am doing for Britney now will help her become a star."

When the story ran on "Good Morning America," the mom's age was given as 38. She was shown injecting what she said was Botox into the face of her daughter. The daughter said the shots "hurt sometimes, but I get used to it."

As for how child protective services officials finally located mom and daughter? We're told they were certainly recognizable to the locals from their TV appearances.

This attention whore is crazy and deranged. I put her in the same category as the woman who poured acid on her own face and claimed someone did it to her.** I just hope her daughter, if it is her daughter, is rescued from this craziness.

**I'm not making light of mental illness in case these women are found to have real and diagnosed mental illnesses.

Munchausen's by proxy wouldn't shock me in this case. Or a personality disorder. But mental illness or not, there's no excuse for hurting one's child in the process. It explains it but doesn't excuse it. Mama shouldn't be raising daughter.

This is all so bizarre. That "mom" sounds about as British as my dog does; it'll be interesting to see who she really is and where she's from.

I was reminded of GC's favorite KD perp/pageant mom when I read this. I wouldn't put it past her!

How old would the kid be now (although I think it was a boy - Dartmouth, Princeton, Yale...something like that)?

Oh, he's not the apple of her eye anymore! She somehow finagled some man into inseminating her and now she has a daughter who's in the pageant world--hair weaves and airbrushed photos for a toddler! Botox is sure to follow!

What bothers me about this more than the Botox, if you can imagine, is the "virgin" wax. Who's looking at her there? It makes me worry that the little girl is being brutalized. :(

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A mother claiming to be from San Francisco who said that she injected her 8-year-old daughter with Botox is now reportedly saying that she made up the story after being paid by a British tabloid newspaper.
Sheena Upton, who went by the name Kerry Campbell, told the celebrity gossip outlet TMZ that the child botox claim she made last week during an interview on national television was purely a hoax.
