I know right?! I wish I had DG friends so I could design a cute tee with that on it :)

33girl 05-05-2011 02:41 PM

Always Σo Awesome!! :D

Using Phi as the letter O and Sigma as the letter E makes me want to hurt people.

It's "teach me how to dougie" but instead it's "teach me how to DeeGee." ;)

Ooooh... ok.

I was completely caught up with this one...

.. so I was reading it as an A and an R :p

AnotherKD 05-05-2011 03:03 PM

I thought it was the "A" and "R", too.

I'm dumb.

:)

AOII Angel 05-05-2011 03:17 PM

I've seen a few AOII chapters use this, but I hurts my head to see it!

leTTers stand out!

We don't use two Ts for a Pi so I don't like it, but what the hell?

ASTalumna06 05-05-2011 04:07 PM

A ΣISTERHOOD

And sorry, 33girl… but I’m using a Sigma in place of E…

ALUMN TIME ? What’s another word that starts with or contains a T to follow alumnae?

I was actually very surprised to see how many words contain “ae”… there are a lot! And I found one with “aet”: spaetzle. LOL. Ok, so it might not be an English word, but it’s a type of egg noodle found in the cuisine of some European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc.).

SPAΣTZLE

AST loves egg noodles! :D

Mevara 05-05-2011 04:19 PM

Wow there are so many... never knew! Although I wish there was a kappa one.

The Kappas at my school had a Derby Days shirt where the front said "appa appa amma" and the back said "It's not a party without KKG!" I don't know if that counts though.

Pi Phi really doesn't work well for this sort of thing either.

A recruitment night theme:

Oh man.. I’m having too much fun with this now!

victoriana 05-05-2011 06:06 PM

AmaXIng
This doesn't use Greek letters, but I think it's cute: Al-FUZZIE-Delta

OHNOITSJESS 05-05-2011 06:13 PM

The Pi Phi's here have shirts that say "Picked the Phinest"

We have shirts that say "You can't spell AWESOME without A.O.E"

katydidKD 05-05-2011 06:34 PM

FΑBULΦUS forgot where I saw that one

FYP. And I completely agree. What makes my head hurt even more is when people do that and then laugh at/shake their heads at non-Greeks who confuse the Greek letters with Latin ones.

TweedleDee199 05-05-2011 08:03 PM

My chapter got shirts that say "HEART THΓΦB".

On a tshirt website once I saw "FIRST NAME EVER, LAST NAME GR∑∆TEST" and I've been jealous ever since.

I don't get the second one.

And why would you be jealous of a t-shirt slogan?

AOIIBuckeye 05-05-2011 09:44 PM

[QUOTE=ree-Xi;2053819]I don't get the second one. [QUOTE]

It's the lyrics to the Drake song, "Forever". I'm obsessed with that song, so i'd be obsessed with that shirt too :D

TweedleDee, I think that one's pretty awesome too.

I've seen this: http://www.poster.net/indiana-robert...ve-7200008.jpg

on shirts and bags for both Theta and Alpha Xi. The Theta version has a Theta for the O and the AXiD version does a Xi for the E.

Jealous. Love this one.

sherrybaby 05-05-2011 10:03 PM

^ as a philly-native theta, that one's my favorite. pretty much anything with an O in it is fair game for us (e.g. a facebook photo album labeled "fΘrmals"), as well as anything with the "cat" or "cate" sound, e.g. sophistiKATed.

Haha not exactly related but gamma phi's make shirts on our campus to drink in that say "party with r0B (larger lowercase R)" or "its not a party unless r0B's there" i think its pretty clever haha

Splash 05-05-2011 10:56 PM

katydidKD 05-05-2011 11:00 PM

rOB kind of looks like gamma phi's letters, but it isnt their letters, so they drink in them

Is that backward? Wouldn't it be first name=greatest, last name=ever, Greatest Ever?

I actually saw this one here, but the way they did it was:
GΣNTLEMΣN (on the front of the shirt) and on the back it said
Sigma Nu- Twice the Gentlemen

I loved it :)
