Favorite On-line Store

For those of you who shop on-line, where do you normally make your purchases from?

Is it actually more convenient excluding the fact that you don't have to deal with the mad rush or the hustle and bustle of people? What about the return policy(ies)?

CrimsonTide4 11-16-2001 07:45 PM

Amazon.com

I am a Frequent shopper of Amazon.com because sometimes they do have cheaper prices and now that they have the marketplace (USED CDs from other AMAZON shoppers) I can get great deals such as my RUDE BOYS CD for 85 cents.

I have also shopped @ Vickie's a couple of times as well as online paraphernalia shops.

I very seldom return anything but I usually get good service in regards to sizes and colors. I do love the convenience of online shopping.

Just remembered that since Columbus is the test market for online Pizza ordering, I order my dinner (like tonight;)) online. This is Pizza Hut for the Hut lovers.

AllyMo 11-16-2001 07:48 PM

I love Old Navy, so I shop on-line at OldNavy.com. I also try to buy textbooks at bookstore.com

The Rude Boys for 85 cents!

Was that the CD with "Are you lonely for me" on it? That was the jam! They had 2 CDs, right? or only one?

We have had online pizza ordering for a few minutes. I think Dominos does it here. I haven't tried it.

I do use Walgreens to get my prescriptions, rather order them online.

Yuuuuuuup that's the one. You must have missed my post when I ordered it and the day it came. I loved ARE YOU LONELY for ME and IT'S WRITTEN ALL OVER YOUR FACE.
They had 2 CDs and both cds along with the rest of my CD collection :( was stolen a year ago.

I keep meaning to online prescription refills. I only have one but it is CRITICAL ;)

I will give almost any "brand name" site a try because I trust them a little more and they tend to have good markdowns!

Avon.com - it is quicker than using a representative and they give you all kinds of free, full size samples

Saks5thAvenue.com - their sale section is INCREDIBLE

Amazon.com (of course)

Sephora.com (I don't live in a big city and I rely on them for my NARS products)

Gap.com (I haven't had as much luck with OldNavy.com) - again , the sale section is very good

I buy these products at the actual store, but it is nice to be able to see the latest collections on line: Kate Spade, Dooney and Coach

Don't sleep on EBay - either, but you have to be on it all the time to find good stuff - my aunt got a Hermes scarf for $150 one time (box and bag included)- LUCKY!

DreamfulOne 11-16-2001 08:41 PM

Sound-and-spirit.com ~the christian/gospel section of BMG Music.
Amazon.com ~ great book selection (saves a trip to the mall)

that's about it..victoriasecrets.com has a good sale section.

Addicted

Online shopping was becoming an addiction, I had to check myself.
I order books from Amazon
I order paraphanalia

AKAtude 11-17-2001 11:14 AM

I don't have a favorite, but I have shopped on-line for convience (usually for wedding presents). I've purchased from:

Amazon.com
Victoria's Secret
Target
Bed Bath and Beyond

exquizit 11-17-2001 08:37 PM

I love GAP , Vicki's secret, and I like to PC screen shop for Bed Bath & Beyond cause thier prices can break a single mom's bank:p

CherryPepsi 11-26-2001 01:22 AM

I heard bluefly.com is nice and I also think sephora.com is good for up to date beauty stuff like Stila, bumble and Bumble, hard candy, etc.

Steeltrap 11-26-2001 04:31 PM

The only on-line store I've used is Bevmo.com, a wine, beer and liquor superstore site.
I browse Saks.com and am about to buy from it, since I can't find these black pants at Off Fifth.

kitten03 12-15-2001 05:40 PM

My favs are:

www.rampage.com - some really nice chic stuff for small $$

www.guessoutlet.com

I just love the sale sections. They beat trying to find what you are looking for in a store sometimes. :D

20Pearlz 02-04-2002 08:27 PM

My fave's: e-bay, BlackExpressions.com, Amazon.com, Old Navy...just to name a few

CkretCrush8 02-05-2002 02:25 PM

Gap
Victoria Secrets
Old Navy
CD Now
Barnes and Nobles

There are many other stores that I shop at online..just too many to list.

On-line shopping

Well, i really enjoy shopping on-line at Collegecrib.com. They have very nice paraphernalia at great prices. As a matter of fact, i know of a great on-line company which does advertising for small businesses. It has helped me locate may nice small and family owned businesses in my area. It's called Companyeye.net! Please Check it out!!!

tammy- 02-11-2002 05:22 PM

J-crew
Banana Republic

My favorites!

Tru_Believer 12-16-2002 12:59 AM

EBAY I can get everything I want there. From Prada to Gucci from books to my wedding dress. Ebay has it all.

Kimmie1913 12-16-2002 11:52 AM

My favoritess-

amazon.com
gap.com
bananarepublic.com (they sell petites on line, too!)
sephora.com
drugstore.com
bluefly.com
victoriassecret.com
neimanmarcus.com
saksfifthavenue.com
nordstromshoes.com
ninewest.com
eluxury.com.

My mom does all of her Crhistma shspping and most other shopping on line. She is addicted to anntaylor.com (also sells petites)

I have looked but been weary of designer goods on ebay. Anyone out ther with experience buying high end designer stuff on ebay? (Gucci,, Fendi, Prada, LV, etc.?) Is the stuff real? I have heard of people getting burned.

Gina1201 12-16-2002 12:34 PM

I bought a Coach Small Duffle Sac off of eBay. The purse was real. When I buy items like this off of eBay, I always look at the feedback of the user. I ESPECIALLY look at the negative feedback of the seller to see why they received the feedback.

However, not ALL of the items that are sold on eBay are real items. It's just a matter of you, the buyer, knowing what to look for.

Thanks for the reply Gina. I always look at the seller feedback when I browse as well to try and get a sense of them. Just the idea of not getting to touch or see the item first makes me weary. Maybe one day I'll get up the nerve to give them a try!

www.avenue.com
www.talbots.com (they have a woman's section. It's pricey, but their semi-annual sale's about to start and you can get great career stuff there.)
www.alight.com
www.ullapopken.com
www.saks.com (their Salon Z is also spendy, but keep checking and you can get great sale deals sometimes).

And of course, www.ebay.com. They've got some regular sellers who always have career-ish plus clothing. ;)

Girl, thanks! I just now saw this! I was coming back for some more ideas. I need to spruce up my wardrobe in the next few weeks... I am trying to 'get sexy' for All-Star weekend in Feb.

lil_sunshine 12-28-2002 05:11 PM

Well, up until about two months ago.....

I never shopped online. Only b/c I didn't have a credit or debit card. Now that I own my own online business (if you wanna know, PM me about it! :p ), I purchase whatever I want and need from my business. :D :D :D

Slight hijack...I just saw a bunch of these flips at TJ Maxx for $8. I was a little bit mad because I spent $20 on mine at DSW. And at Off Fifth, they have hot pink ones for $30.

Back to topic: I'm waiting for some super deals and codes. Banana Republic has free shipping, but I'm not spending $125 there, LOL.
