We missed our midnight (here in the UK), but managed a kiss at 5 AM (which would be midnight on the East Coast, where we call "home").

We were up at 5 AM with our new born...but sleeping at midnight.

I kissed someone at 10:30pm before going to bed, does that count?

Mr. is about 4 hours away with his parents, so I didn't kiss anyone. However, I did hug my mom. That counts, to me.:)

My boy worked last night, so my friend and I kissed each other on the forehead.
Still counts towards the luck, right?

I kissed my GF at 1:30 when I was able to see her, if that counts.

In all seriousness, I was tired of how no matter how low key you try to keep it, you always think that some sort of awesome thing is going to happen on NYE. So I just did the hermit thing. It was a good idea.

There was no one in town so my roomate, SO and I ended up entertaining ourselves by watching him shoot off fireworks (and then say something like "Oh shit" and run) and missed midnight totally.

Romantic! And I did the hermit thing too. Chinese food and watching the NYE special via webcast = a good new years for me.

I lasted until about 10:30 before falling asleep. My husband stayed up watching basketball and football and woke me up at midnight to kiss me. I was awake until the neighbor kids stopped banging the pots and pans. Thank god they didn't wake up the baby.

Life is lame when you have a baby at home and aren't ready to leave her with babysitters other than the grandparents!

Nope, The Chessman was with his family and I was with mine. I got hugs from my mommy, though! :)

Me too. My husband came in, kissed me awake and whispered, "Happy New Year." :)

Almost fell asleep before midnight, but Better Half kept me entertained by dancing along with NKOTB-SB and we had our midnight kiss :)
