So what did you find under the tree for Christmas 2010?
 

It's still early, but I thought I would get the Christmas gift giving/receiving thread started early, since I've already opened one gift.:p It's always been a tradition in my family that we can open one gift on Christmas Eve, the rest has to wait for Christmas Day. My Christmas Eve gift was a Coach handbag given to me by my mom. My mom knows I love Coach. My mom's Christmas Eve gift that I got for her was a coat, hat, and scarf outfit. She loved it. We still have to open the rest tomorrow.

What did you find under the tree this year?

A new dryer AND a new furnace!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

Santa was too good to me! I got...

- the new Estee Lauder make up gift set (I was in desperate need of replacing just about all my make up!)
- a new perfume
- Wii (the red one with the New Super Mario Brothers!)
- a White Sox snuggie...and actually it's not the snuggie brand so it's a "Blanket with Sleeves" LOL

My brother got me a new cell phone case, which I needed desperately! My fiance took me out to a nice dinner and also got me one of my all time favorite movies on Blu-Ray...Beauty and the Beast!! :) My best friend got me a cute Vera Bradley make up/travel bag. Fiance's family got me a necklace, and one of my aunts and uncles got me a Best Buy gift card.

AND what's even better is I think I hit the nail on the head for all the gifts I gave:
- Fiance got a watch
- My mom got a new hair dryer since hers broke
- My dad got a nice pullover (sounds insignificant...but he is very particular...he HATES fleece, and like 95% of those half zip pullovers are fleece...he hasn't had luck finding what he wants so he was thrilled!)
- My brother got new sturdy winter gloves (hey, it's what he asked for!)
- My best friend, the big bears fan, got the one of the Bears hoodies from Victoria's Secret Pink.

Successful Christmas!

I'm sitting in my room waiting for everyone to wake up so I can start breakfast without pissing anyone off...I'm sosososo hungry. But I know what I'm getting...a pair of Sevens and Laura Mercier makeup. I got my siblings a book of Chuck Norris jokes and a how-to-talk-to-zombies book with sounds and my dad a People of Walmart book. My mom is getting jewelry that I made her, mostly freshwater pearls. My roomie got me color changing nail polish (I have this obsession with weird nail polishes)...I had bought her a watch with a houndstooth face (huge Bama fan) but can't find it so I gotta buy her something else before I head home. Bleh.

That's pretty much it since SO wanted a specific book that relates to his art so I bought it and shipped it to his house so he can go ahead and use it. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a Waxing Poetic charm from him, but we're having a gift exchange (I also bought him a shirt from UO) around New Year's so I don't know until then. I'm pumped for those jeans, even though I'll have to have them tailored before I can wear them. Yet another pitfall of being short.

And one of the boxes under the tree is a big one and it has my name on it, and I can't open anything until she wakes up.:mad:

We did gift opening last night.
I got from my parents:
- A Keurig!!! With lots of K-Cups
- A PSU tie blanket made by my mom

- GPS
- A "Griddler" by Cuisinart, it does paninis, steaks, and has a flat top as well (reversable plates)
- Some other nice small things :)

From my boyfriends family:
- From boy I got a Penn State jersey & underarmor. Its too big but he insists it must be...
- A Coach wristlet from his sister & her husband :)
- A panini press, knitted slipper boots & sour patch kids from the parents
- K-Cups & a PSU thermal from the mommas twin & her husband :)

They enjoyed all of their gifts from me as well

I am getting glasses - ordered them last Wednesday.
Ho ho ho middle-aged Christmas.

Some pajamas and some Bath & Body Works stuff from the kids. An Amazon gift card from my dad (that I bought a George Foreman grill and my son's Christmas present with). My brother's gifts for the family haven't arrived yet since he's been busy moving to Wyoming. My aunt gave me an ornament and a B&BW gift card.

Gloves for use with my Droid2, a bunch of cute sweaters and shirts including a Big Bang Theory "Soft Kitty" shirt, a new scarf, several books in series that I like, a traveling tea mug that flips the tea up when its done steeping, and gift cards to B&N, among other gifts :D

And I was told I get a Nook for my birthday in a few weeks, yay!

I absolutely love LEGOs. I grew up playing with those things. I'm pretty sure that if someone bought me some for Christmas, I'd probably quit my job and build stuff all day, every day!

1st season of Castle ((I think that is more for hubby because it was ME that was watching Season 1 as it was happening ;) ) This is the only show he routinely watches.

a ring - (it does look almost just like the inexpensive one I had about for like $6 but I know he paid much more). I have to take it to be resized..maybe they can't do it and I can get another color of stone....just sayin...)

Great haul this year.

I got FOUR, count 'em FOUR awesome wood cutting boards in different sizes, some pyrex dishes, 8 new steak knives (for company, LOL) and 8 new white wine glasses (for entertaining).

I also got the Joy of Cooking (I acted like a little kid who found a bike under the tree).

From Live-in I got tickets to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, a beautiful new watch, the Wii dance game, Season 2 of Dollhouse, new headphones (made by the same people who do Invisible Shield for phones/iPads, so he thinks I can't destroy them like I usually do), and a gift card to Amazon for my Kindle.

I got two sets of scarves/hats/gloves, which are great. I got a great pair of shoes, as well - from Live-in's mom - she had bought me Uggs but found out I hated them so went for a cute pair of booties instead. She's got great taste in shoes (minus the Uggs, LOL).

I did a smaller scale for Live-in this year - he got a movie he REALLY wanted (Scott Pilgrim) and a gift certificate to a ski shop so he can buy a new ski helmet (which he also really wanted but obviously I couldn't take him in with me and have him try it on).

For Live-in's dad I split the cost of a great watch with Live-in, and for Live-in's mom I got a gift card for accessories for something Live-in got her. For his brother I got some really awesome t-shirts and a tool box, and for his girlfriend I got Christmas decorations because she just moved out of her parents' house and doesn't have any of her own. We also got a bunch of housewarming type stuff for Live-in's brother and his girlfriend because they moved in together this month, so things like a crock-pot, kitchen utensils, etc.

I'm really excited for my dad to come out on New Year's. I got his fiancée these really awesome blue glass champagne glasses, and I got him an external hard drive (2 TB) and a Kindle.

DTD Alum's list is making me a little jealous.

I received a beautiful watch - I don't usually like jewelry or "things" on my body. but I've decided to grow up and make an exception for the watch. Other notable gifts were a beautiful tie and a tea mug that is almost as large as my head!

I made out pretty well this year:

I was soooo bummed out when I found out the glitter globes had been discontinued for more than a year but we found this one online and my mom bought it for me! This thing is gorgeous with some awesome detailing and a music box in it that plays "For Good." I heart my mother. :)

Oooooh my nephew got this! It's super nice! And that game is soooo much fun.
