Here are some that came to my mind right away! AOII at University of Louisiana-Monroe (Lambda Tau chapter) 2009 Bid Day Letters http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/q...DSCN2076-1.jpg 2010 Bid Day Letters http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/q...r/DSC_0075.jpg Pi Beta Phi at Ole Miss, (MS Beta chapter) 2009 Bid Day Letters http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/q...r/GEDC0251.jpg AOII at Ole Miss, (Nu Beta chapter) 2009 Bid Day Letters http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/q...kmt2009167.jpg |

Ole Miss Kappa Kappa Gamma (Delta Rho Chapter) http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/q...andletters.jpg By the way, a fraternity at Ole Miss made new letters for all of the sororities at Ole Miss last year. Then each sorority painted their letters. I believe it was Phi Kappa Psi fraternity but I could be wrong. |

I knew this thread would be started lol. LOVE the Pi Phi letters |

 I. Love. This. Thread. :D |

Yay!! This thread is awesome!! LOVE the UT Tri-Delta and Ole Miss Pi Phi letters-they are adorable!! Someone needs to post the Chi Omega letters with the owl on them-can't remember where they're from.... |
|
I love the idea of a fraternity making the letters - truthfully, I'm thinking it would be a great fundraiser for the fraternities! |

Love the AXiD letters with the plexi behind the Xi. Looks sooo much better than wood behind it. |

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2551980_n.jpg Okay, this is the only place I can get to let me type. I love the monster AChiO letters, the simple but professional Theta letters, but my favorite are these bubble AXiD letters that have creatively solved the Xi problem better than any chapter I've ever seen! http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._8033477_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2573355_n.jpg |

The ones at Ole Miss (for the most part) are wood. AOII at Ole Miss also has a smaller set of letters that are made of thick foam board. I would imagine the key to making the letters look so good is someone that can use a skill saw. (I think that is the proper term for that type of tool.) I can imagine some letters are easier than others but the Xi is probably the hardest to make! I love the Alpha Xi Delta bubble letters too! |

Loving this thread! My school didn't use letters like this, we were totally missing out. It's really interesting seeing how different groups tackle letters, like the Xi issue! My favorite so far: The purple ΣΣΣ with green flowers, the XΩ owl- that is so cute! (but makes me feel like the X needs something extra), and the black & white ΠBΦ. I also like the Delta Zeta ones for their simplicity & having the Delta Zeta written out in the scrolly lettering on each. DubaiSis... do you think you could add a line break between your pictures to make the page width go back to normal? :D |

The XΩ owl letter is one of the most creative things I've seen. Very admirable! I wish my school had this tradition as well. They make for great photos! |

I wish I had a picture of the foam letters I made for our windows in the dorm when I was a collegian. I wouldn't recommend using them for this purpose (Bid Day) since a stiff wind would crack them in half. They were really cute, though, since I made them with a panda bear over each letter. The pandas were holding hearts, and each one was different. The letters were massive and completely filled the windows of our dorm rooms, so the entire bottom floor of the sorority dorm screamed "AOII!" Of course, we later found out that the foam (used as building insulation) was flammable...oops! |

I LOVE the UNT letters!!! This is the funnest thread. :D |

I was going to point out some faves, but we're only on page 2 and I already absolutely love half of them, lol And what a nice surprise to see some chapter sisters as I was scrolling through :) |

This thread is very cool. Some of them are painted SOOOOO elaborately. Very professional. Never had these at my school, but would have been very fun! The most we ever did was poster-board letters for our dorm windows. Yeah- not all that creative, and besides, they were so faded by the end of the year, that they were trashed immediately! |
|
They're all so beautiful! I keep coming back to the black and white Pi Beta Phi letters - classic! |
|
Do my eyes deceive me, or are those light up letters? |

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...3_601571_n.jpg Found these on FB from MTSU. I've never seen lowercase AOII letters. |

they WERE repainting the letters each year, bc the ones in the first post were the ones we used when i was there, but my last year they were solid blue with a white trim, nothing fancy. from recruitment pics it looks like fall 2009 was the last run for that set. i definitely like the new ones better. |
