Things you do to cheer yourself up after having a crappy day
.
|
Trashy reality tv. It always makes me feel better about myself to laugh at other people.
Does it make me a horrible person? Maybe. Does it make me feel better about myself? Definitely. |
Eat.
|
Long bubble bath, glass of wine, trashy romance novel, a few candles and fabulous music. Or dinner at Panera.

Trash tv can be awesome.:D ETA: 30 Rock is my non trash tv cheer up favorite. |
Paint my nails or (have them done professionally)
Hit the gym Drink a glass of wine or champagne Watch Arrested Development (that's my go-to show for cheering up, but anything that makes you laugh) Get a good night's sleep |
Drink. Heavily.
(sorry, having a crappy day myself.) |
carbs, wine or beer depending on the mood and Lifetime movies
or movie and popcorn-I've been known to go by myself if I don't have anyone to go with at the moment. It's dark and you're not talking anyway. |

Can't forget G4's junk food tv. (Campus PD, Cheaters, Cops...and ninjas, lots of ninjas). |
Comedy on youtube. Old-school SNL when I'm really bummed.
|
I like to go virtual shopping. I go to my favorite stores online, put tons of stuff in my "shopping basket" and then leave without buying anything.
|
Eat carbs, drink beer or whiskey, watch COPS/OpoRepo/SouthPark, have sex.
|
just watched america's funniest home videos
|
Ditto the trashy TV. I have Real Housewives on deck for days such as this.
Take a nap. |

Drive on a country road with no traffic and a high speed limit!
|
SUSHI!!! Or jump in my car and drive somewhere. Anywhere. To the beach, to another city. Hop on a freeway and just see where it goes. I do that a lot.
My fave when I was stressed beyond measure? First, I got a massage and vent about my day to my massage therapist (she obliged me and usually complained about her bf so I could focus on someone else for awhile). Then to the store to buy lavender-scented epsom salt, which she recommended to me. Then, what I called "grown woman time." This consisted of a bubble bath, candles, Chaka Khan and a glass of wine. Cell phone--off. The world--on hold. Let marinate as long as needed. :) |

When I have a bad day, I like to shop online, drink a little vodka, and get in people's business on Facebook/Twitter.
|
Ditto on driving random places. Cooking, maybe some Jack and Coke, too.
|
Usually, I'll just jack off if I'm bored out of my mind.
|
Bump.
Would love any other suggestions you may have...especially for when a bad day turns into a bad week. Thanks! |
Go for a late night over-priced frozen yogurt run with an old best friend from high school. We complain about things that really aren't that bad and laugh at each other. It's the best :)
|
Watch Jersey Shore or the Real Hot Mess of Atlanta
|
Favorite show to watch when I feel like crap?
Snapped. Seriously, even though my day was bad, at least I'm not crazy enough to drive to poison my significant other for his life insurance money. |
I'm having a bad day too. So I'm listening to christmas music. Hopefully it will help some.
|
i treat myself to a starbucks soy chai latte. grande'.
|
Hmm, well, I'll usually listen to my iPod and sometimes fall asleep listening to it. If I'm not tired, I'll listen to it and dance in front of my mirror. Sometimes, I'll drive (depending on the weather) where there isn't any light pollution, and I'll look at the planets and other galaxies (mainly Andromeda) with my telescope. It's either that or I'll play AoE.
|
I've been having quite a few low days and spending snuggle time with my kitties and playing with them cheers me up. Even though they can be obnoxious I know they love me unconditionally and they are really pleased by simple things such as the feather stick or playing fetch.
Knitting and spinning helps too as any anger can be directed into some fierce drop spindling, but with a spinning wheel my foot goes too fast and we have chaos. |
