Football Stickers?
Does your chapter make stickers to wear/hand out to fraternity men for football games?
For example, "XYZ loves School Mascot!" on some type of sticker. If so, I'd love to see what you all use! :] Thanks! |
We made a shirt that had a football helmet, with one of the fraternities on campus. It was the school colors, with the phrase "Get your game face on!" Only members of one of the organizations could have it, though, because it had letters. If I can find a picture I'll post it.

That would be WONDERFUL! Thank you! |
This is very popular on the Arkansas campus. I would say all sororities have them for every game and pass them on to parents, dates, etc to wear to the football games. (EW - you need to save those stickers for posterity!)

Something I've noticed:
A lot of the stickers use hearts instead of the word love, but they put: XYZ [picture of a heart] 's School Mascot," but should there be an apostrophe there? Hopefully, this makes sense. Thanks. |

I'm guessing people think it looks weird without the apostrophe. Which is does, a little. The same way, even though I KNOW it's incorrect, I can't help but tell people I got all "A's." Apostrophe shouldn't be there, but otherwise I think it looks like As.

There is no risk of misunderstanding or misreading with a heart symbol. Use of an apostrophe in that case reads "heart's" (or "love's"). So no, the apostrophe should not be used. . . at least not by people who are in the process of getting a college education. Be the chapter that knows better. ;) |

Whenever I went to Bama games with friends I had a sorority sticker slapped on me (and not my letters, because I didn't know anyone in my own organization on that campus). I don't think I was ever asked if I wanted to wear one. |

Makes sense! I think maybe putting the "s" slightly smaller and near the top right side of the heart will make it look alright. Thanks for your help. |

I always wore them anyway because I know it increases visibility and it wasn't a big deal if they wanted to slap one on me, but I did find it odd that they never asked and that they didn't care that a member of another sorority (one that has a chapter at Bama, too) was wearing a sticker with their letters on it. I would have if it were me. I just assumed it was because I went to another school, so few people on campus would have known or cared whether or not I was an XYZ. |

It's sad that I still have yet to see any stickers in this thread!

I am sorry but I am totally inept at posting pics on GC! I suggest snooping around on Facebook for some... Look for U of Arkansas kids as well as Ole Miss. I know both schools do it.
I did some random googling and found this page http://www.ashdeedavidson.com/depict.html About 13 rows down on this page of pics is a group shot of people where a few are wearing a KKG Loves the Hogs sticker. They are round. Not the best, but maybe some help? Another thing I would suggest is possible calling one of the houses on campus at Arkansas/Ole Miss and asking who orders these for the sorority. She may be able to put you in touch with their resource. |

(as an interesting note, does anyone else have their own webpage devoted to themselves? I may have to look into it, my egotism demands it) |

If I can find any pictures of myself wearing one of the stickers I'll get a capture of the sticker. |

But you can kind of tell how the sticker goes, if you look carefully at the picture. |

This isn't me, it's one of my sisters, but this is our sticker! |

Sorry about football, though... |

And it took me a long time to realize that I had my location as Knoxville. I was trying to figure out how you knew it was Tennessee of all schools. haha |
Bump to this thread. We're designing our football stickers for this fall and would love to see stickers from this past year!
