Hello Sisters, The Summer edition of the Quill is now on-line and the theme is planning get-togethers, reunions, and other ways to stay in touch with Sisters. The Gamma Phi Chapter at East Carolina University just celebrated our 50th Anniversary. We are highlighted on page 9 and 10 of the Quill. http://bluetoad.com/publication/?i=42733

Trust me, you can read it on-line. I've been doing that forever. There's even a picture of me in a past quill reading the quill with the Burj Al Arab in the background.

ETA/bummer. I said that, only to discover that the most current issue hasn't posted to the web yet. Hopefully soon!

The picture is twenty five years ago and I have no idea how and where HQ’s got the SDSU fall requirement picture but I am in it! I screamed when I saw it. It's on page 44 and I am the only one sitting in front of the boat between the letters Xi and Delta.

Oh the memories of the hard work we done on that boat. We came up with the theme Pirates of the Caribbean and bought the pirate hats from Disneyland. It sure feels like yesterday rather than 25 years ago.

Wow! I am still astonished.

That's funny XiBair. My chapter actually took a picture of that picture in the quill, posted it on their FB group, and were asking if they could do a pirate themed recruitment next year. I think they decided on a pirate mixer instead, but they really loved it!

You know, I don't think there were ever any pictures taken during our recruitments. I honestly can't remember. If there were, I certainly don't own any. I wish I had some.

Of all the four years of recruitment, that was my favorite. I still remember the song.
Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho, the Alpha xi life for me.

Since we were the smallest chapter on campus, we had help from other chapters. The young lady in the green leg cast was from the University of Washington. Someday Gamma Alpha will come back on campus.

I don't have any either. I was looking through my scrapbook the other day and had this very thought. For some reason, we were so hung up on NOT having our pics taken in our cheesy recruitment outfits...but now I wish I had some. :(
