Are you serious? This has to be a joke. Did you join an NPC? What sorority were you in and what one are you in now?

The only way this would work is if both these things are the case:

1. The sorority you joined at your new school is either a local or a non-NPC group.

2. The sorority you joined at your new school is NOT part of your campus Panhellenic.

There is no way that this is a real person. But on the off chance that you are real, the answer is NO.

And if by chance it is, I think she should ask the chapter adviser of her current chapter as well as the colonization team of her former group. :D

That depends. What sorority were you in and what one are you in now?

KSUViolet06 06-25-2010 09:33 PM

If you are initiated, you are stuck.

She won't be stuck at all if she mentions her other membership to each sorority. :D

Actually, I heard they let you choose! So then everyone knows and you get to be in the best one! Isn't that awesome?

I think you have bigger issues to worry about, like the fact that you're already in a sorority.

FYP :D

phimu10gammachi 07-03-2010 07:29 PM

I honestly can't believe that you would join a sorority and then be okay with joining another one. and if you were already initiated it isn't right for you to go to another one. Also, I don't think that you should even be in a sorority if your sorority doesn't mean enough to you to stay with the first one through thick and thin. I mean, that is true sisterhood, not jumping from greek organization to greek organization because they didn't offer your old one at your new school.

You know you won't need to interview, right? Just tell the expansion team that you were already a member at your other school and want to change sororities again now that they're coming to campus. They will look you up and take care of everything.

I agree. The expansion team and your chapter advisers will be able to answer your questions the best.

You cannot be a member of two NPC sororities. It's in the rules. You agreed to them when you joined the first one.

You have got to be a troll... and if you're not just give us the full information so we can actually understand your question. There's like a 2% chance that things could ACTUALLY be ok, but we'd never know because you can't type like a grownup.

transfergirl 07-06-2010 10:22 PM

i asked the colony team and they said i can just affiliate. are they wrong or are you?

You forgot to mention your other sorority, didn't you.

I love new colonies, what school are you at?

It would help if you told us the name of the sorority you joined at your new school. If it was a local group or a non-NPC group, you don't have a problem. Your reluctance to share this information just makes everyone assume the worst (i.e. that you've joined 2 NPCs).

FleurGirl 07-07-2010 01:34 PM

It could be two locals, then I guess the rules would be totally different. I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong) if you disaffiliate with your NPC sorority you can join another a year after.

Wrong, once you initiated into one of the 26 NPC sororities you can NOT join another.

That is true only if you do not get initiated. If you are a NM and drop out before becoming a sister, then you have to wait a calender year after accepting the bid to rush again.

That must have been what I was thinking of. Thanks for the corrections!
