Family: Gary Coleman on life support, unconscious

SALT LAKE CITY – The family of former child television star Gary Coleman says he is on life support and unconscious after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage at his home.

Coleman suffered the hemorrhage Wednesday evening at his Santaquin home, 55 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center on Friday released the statement on behalf of Coleman's family. It says Coleman's condition worsened on Thursday and he slipped into unconsciousness.

With his health issues, it honestly is amazing that he's lived this long. Hope he can rally again.

I just got word from the husband of one of my coworkers that he just passed.

Munchkin03 05-28-2010 02:54 PM

TMZ just posted it. :( As always, I'm going to wait till another, more reputable, news source confirms it. Still...this is some shit.

BluPhire 05-28-2010 02:57 PM

It just broke on CNN and MSNBC. He's gone.

That is so sad. I feel sorry for his family. Wasn't he pretty young, too?

I hate to say this but, everytime I see the title of this thread, I have to do a double take because it almost makes me think it says "Family Guy" instead of the actual title.

Prayers go out to his family.

He was only 42 but he's had kidney problems and other health issues his whole life. That's why he was so small.

R.I.P. Gary

42 just seems so young to me. That is very sad. It is sad when anyone passes away, let alone at such a young age.

AGDee 05-28-2010 04:12 PM

Whatchyou talking about Willis?

42 is very young but Gary Coleman did have a host of health issues, including kidney problems that led to him being of such small stature.

DrPhil 05-28-2010 04:16 PM

Hopefully he will finally find peace. R.I.P.

Benzgirl 05-28-2010 04:17 PM

Another person passing so young is heartbreaking. RIP.

From Yahoo: .
`Diff'rent Strokes' star Gary Coleman dies

He had his first kidney transplant at the age of TWO. I hope he's at peace now.

Sister Havana 05-28-2010 06:41 PM

RIP Gary Coleman.

Leslie Anne 05-28-2010 07:50 PM

Sad. Rest in peace, Gary.

NinjaPoodle 05-29-2010 08:53 PM

RIP Gary. So tragic for the three of them (Dana, Todd & Gary) though it great to see Todd making his comeback. IMDB for Todd Bridges

I heard they were already using Michael Jackson in non-English speaking productions saying that he faked his death to escape his debts, but I think I saw that they're keeping the character.

It just seems like a lot of the major past and present celebrities are all going at once.:(
