Judge Judy - Sorority sisters

Not quite greek enough from Greek Life. But anyway:

Quote:

On yesterday's episode, the plaintiff sued her sorority sister for the cost to repair a laptop. The litigants and witnesses spoke out of turn, used made-up words, and acted generally silly, all of which made JJ lose it.

Anytime a conversation starts off as "I was conversating..." it's not going to go well.

Prettyface08 05-20-2010 02:44 PM

I saw this one, and JJ corrected her...lol way after the fact. Ah well. Which sorority were they members of?

Little32 05-20-2010 02:50 PM

"Conversate is not a word. Stay in school. Stay in school. Take English." lol. Good times.

AXiDMeesh 05-20-2010 02:58 PM

Lol at the one chick getting kicked out of the courtroom.

I know. "But I" "I don't care." "But!" "I do. not. care." "But!!!" "Yer outta here."

I just watched this trainwreck. Thanks for perpetuating the spoiled sorority girl stereotype, you little twits!

And thank you, Judge Judy, for being awesome.

AKA

That was nothing. Some of you think everything's a trainwreck.

Judge Judy's communication style lends itself to conflict and high ratings. The one who got kicked out simply wanted to testify, which some courtrooms would have allowed.

It was amusing. And if the judge says "don't talk" you're supposed to stop talking. She listens to witnesses if they have something relevant to add.

And of course, it's drama-fied for the sake of TV, but it's still entertaining.

Yeah, she really wanted to share. That clip would've been amusing if she was loud and ignorant prior to getting thrown out. You all presented it like it was an episode of Judge Joe Brown's "Bad Girls." I watched it expecting to at least smirk.

APhiQuetieACE 05-20-2010 05:43 PM

 ugh...I cant stand Judge Judy's show

DrPhil 05-20-2010 05:43 PM

Pardon me, Drolefile, today has been a slow comedy day. :) Judge Joe Brown hasn't even been able to make me laugh today.

Sorry sorry, thought stupid people were at least worth chuckling at.

So, Judge Joe Brown wasn't funny today, but The People's Court is on now. I almost always laugh at Marilyn Milian. She yells too darn much. She might be worse than Judge Judy.

MysticCat 05-20-2010 06:04 PM

All of these TV "judges" make me weep.

Senusret I 05-20-2010 06:15 PM

There used to be a fictitious court show about family court.... I loved it. Can't remember the name though.

I'm glad someone said something because I was about to ask if there was anyway a judge would really talk that way in court.

I've always figured that was the point. It's not real.

Probably so. I always figured I was missing the point.

But, weren't judges like Judy, Joe Brown, Milian, and Pierro like that before they got their shows? I thought that is why they were deemed entertaining enough for their own show.

Sorry, can't beat Judge Wapner

I just can't watch any of the court shows that were made after the Original People's court. Both Judy and Joe Brown seem like ringmasters/wild animal tamers rather than judges.

Did you see Wapner guest judge a few months ago. :) It was awesome. He only did one case and he was very slow in doing so. It was still wonderful seeing him.

I missed him on People's Court, but Wapner judged Animal Court on Animal Planet for a while. Those were the days :p
