Disbanned Chapter
Any ideas to get a chapter back after being shutdown on campus for several violations. They won't even let us be a colony because of budget cuts. We still have a private house off campus but they advise students to not rush unrecognised groups.

You might also be banned, but that's a different word. This is not a Girl Talk mash-up. If you're running underground, DON'T TALK ABOUT YOUR CHAPTER ON THE INTERNET. Unless your national has given you permission, not only are you in Dutch with the school, you are now in dutch with your nationals too. I'm assuming they're the ones who gave you the "budget cuts" rap as I have never heard of a school using such an excuse as a reason for not wanting a fraternity on campus. If you really want to get your chapter back on campus legitimately, you need to cease operations now and stay off for as long as you're told, by your nationals AND by your school. |

Maybe lambdaguy is in a different chapter, but discretion is the better part of valor. And seriously, lambdaguy, this a question you should be having with ATO leadership, not with random strangers on the internet. |
33, it depends on ATO's policy with regard to chapters no longer welcome at the school. It depends on whether ATO has pulled their charter or not. And whether the school is public or private will weigh on whether this chapter has to do anything the school asks of them.
ETA: It appears your school is private, so you're screwed. Do what you're told or you could potentially face more serious consequences up to and including expulsion. It sounds like you still have your charter. Bet your alumni are pissed. |

I also wouldn't assume that this guy = guy from St Lawrence. They are the Alpha Omicron chapter. The Lambda chapter is somewhere else. |
Yes folks, you're right, I'm right. We're saying the same thing here.
"Depends on ATO's policies" = "ask your HQ." |

It certainly may not be the same chapter. Still, discretion . . . . |

Depends on what you have done. I know in the 80s our chapter was off campus for two years because of accusations at a party. We had to start all over as a colony. It also depends on your school size, if they already have quite a few other Fraternities they might not allow you back for size reasons. Read a paper 33 haha, the schools around here cut 2 million in the budget including the money that goes to organizations and raised housing dues which includes all the regular kids in dorms.

Sucks to be at the schools without housing or government money then, that makes it kinda hard to manage 30 or 40 people.

Anyway, 33girl, what does "in Dutch" mean? I was going to quote you but don't feel like it. Does it mean that someone needed to be spoked to, but in a different languange so as not to embarass them in front of their friends, so they speak to them in Dutch because they're in trouble? Because that what I imagined when I read it. |
Shadow again you know barely anything about the order of Greek things as being a Latino Fraternity founded in 1987, were you even a legal citizen. Yes, I said it because you talk like a bitch.
