What does your organization rank?

What are the top Greek Organizations in America?

Some say that some are ranked high just because they have the most initiates or most chapters but that doesn't make you "the best"

I would say Chi Omega Sigma Chi ATO and KA? Phi Mu being the biggest in the South and AOII being the best for small schools and Kappa Sigma being the most popular southern Fraternity.

At my school the most popular fraternity and sorority are that because they are the oldest but they were started here because it was an easier organization to bring to campus. They tend to stay popular because they only accept local people and legacy members. Another fraternity on campus isn't popular here but it is known everywhere else in the state and nationally.

So should you join the local popular group and forget about your legacy to the national best or join the national best but not the campus favorite?

What a dumb question.

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 08:36 PM

All of you are just jealous bc you can't come from a family of Sigma Chi and ATOs and marry Phi Mus and Chi Omegas. If you are looking to join a Greek organization for fun you aren't going to be a good member then. It is am important part of life and it builds important connections. Your Greek organizations represents you and some are not popular and some are nationally best get over it.

How about you join the group you feel the closest connection to?

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 08:47 PM

I didn't say what was popular at my school because ppl that belong to it might be offended but I can say the sorority is a Northern 1 and the Frat a Midwestern 1. I'm just saying they consist of the Dr. Lawyers and ppl that run my town but the organizations aren't very known in the state or nationally. The national ones on campus aren't very popular so I find it odd.

WaterChild 04-22-2010 08:52 PM

Kappa Delta you are cool also. My cousin a Sigma Chi dates 1. Instead of getting offending make opinions why you think your organizations is better than Sigma Chi and the rest. I am just standing on facts from being around them and knowing the families the people come from. They are all legacy etc.

Somebody answer my question though seriously about going the not known organization that is popular in the town or going the not popular but better known in the state and outside organization? Doesn't that make it hard to pick?

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 09:14 PM

I am Greek. I can affiliate with a chapter I do not belong to if I transfer to Olemiss as a legacy. I can seperate from my chapter and go to Sigma Chi or ATO since neither were available at my school. Olemiss doesn't have the organization I am.

WTF. Seriously.

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 09:16 PM

To my family & our friends Greek life isn't for just anybody. It is for established people with reputations sorry to say it but I wouldn't be caught dead being a TKE or Theta Chi or letting my sister become a Tri Sig or anything less than a Chi Omega.

But it doesn't matter because you're a troll.

So what you're saying is you will be a traitor to your fraternity and jump ship the first chance you get to another fraternity because they have a better national reputation?

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 09:18 PM

Yeah pretty much bc I joined the local fraternity of private school boys and who had parents that were all doctors and lawyers and known in our town. I would join ATO or Sigma Chi in a heart beat because they are way more nationally known and can get me way more than a local town favorite that is the only chapter in the state.

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 09:20 PM

All of you don't care because you don't come from something. All of you are the same ppl in rea life that don't like me because I have a range rover. I can't help what I was born into.

You don't have to be born into anything to go Greek, sweetie. I was the first in my family to go Greek. I'm solid middle class. I rushed as a sophomore. I'm in Chi Omega. If my organization had judged me as you do, I wouldn't have gone near it with a ten foot pole.

You talk too much. You're a Sigma Tau Gamma at Southeastern Louisiana University. Am I right?

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 09:28 PM

Well I just know my cousin wouldn't have become a Chi Omega if her dad wasn't the Vice President of the school and her family wasn't known. Would you like to see their formal pics, every single car is a lexus, infiniti, etc. You don't have to come from something but as a Chi Omega you should know it is more nationally known and at my cousins school the best sorority. If ppl have other ranks then post them until then I stick to Kappa Alpha, Sigma Chi, ATO, Chi Omega, and Phi Mu as the best in the South & Nationally.

southerngreek12 04-22-2010 09:28 PM

When you start driving a Maybach, then we can start talking about how rich you are.

Hmmm....I don't think so. There is no fraternity there that is the only one in the state. So how is Hammond this time of the year? Watch out for the killer girraffes at the wildlife park!

Waterchild, what are we going to do? No Phi Mu or Chi Omega on our campus boo hoo. At least you can date a Sigma Chi because you're a Kappa Delta and this guy approves of you...there's no one for me to marry, waaaahhhh, we don't even have TKE.
