My all-time fave: TextsFromLastNight
Here are some others: Tipulicious Flashlight The Weather Channel Paper Toss Compass AllRecipes Dinner Spinner eBay Epicurious Fandango Urbanspoon (LOVE this one!) Pac-Man I Can Has Cheezburger? I have tons of apps, but these are the ones I use at least once every 1-2 months (some much more :)):
eBay Amazon Twitterrific Mark the Spot Shazam The Weather Channel AroundMe Scrabble Bejeweled 2 Moviefone Starbucks Urbanspoon eBuddy Note- Mark the Spot is an app published by AT&T. If you drop a call or have an area that frequently has crappy coverage, you can use this app to mark it and send the data back to AT&T. A friend who works there recommends it to everyone she knows- more data = better fixes = better coverage. Both of the games- Scrabble & Bejeweled- are paid games... but worth it. |
I have:

I'm sure next week I'll have a different one. |
I have a bunch, but my favorites are:

Okay, these are my favorites/used the most:

I just downloaded Opera Mini which is a web browser and it is AMAZING and like a bajillion times better than Safari, plus it's free.
Just wanted to share :D |
My very favorite app is DOOM. Best. Game. Ever. It reminds me of a childhood spent partially in front of the computer, shooting down monsters from hell.

My newest addiction: Words With Friends
It is basically scrabble that can be played with online friends or with a randomly assigned opponent. The best part is that it is not timed and you do not have to remain in the app while your opponent is taking their turn. You are notified once the opponent has played and you can return whenever it is convenient. There is a free version (with ads of course) or 2.99 for no pop-ups. I tried the free version first, but then decided that the $3 was worth not having to deal with the ads after each play. I have 6 games going currently! |

My favorite is the TWSS so I can ruin a really serious conversation with it.. :) Pandora is my other favorite!! |
For my iPhone I just have the basics:
Pandora Radio Flixter Sudoku Words With Friends I just got an iPad and was looking for more games to play on it. My friend told me about Associate This and I'm addicted. I seriously recommend anyone with time on their hands that likes crosswords and word game type stuff to download it. They have it for the iphone and itouch too. |

Here to drop the ANDROID bomb.
Seriously, some of you have way too many apps lol |
My new favs are TiltShift Generator to post process your photos into looking like they've been shot with a tiltshift lens. It uses a basic photoshop technique of blurring the perimeter of the photo and gives a very analog effect to your photos. Certainly worth the 99c. Also iMovie and iBooks are great. I just shot, edited and uploaded two videos from concerts I saw and even with compression the videos look pretty decent. It makes editing together several small clips really easy. With iBooks, I love the ability to open pdf attachments from email and save them locally to iBooks...something we should be able to do with all filetypes readable from an iPhone.
|
If you have an iPhone buy handy light now before it's gone. It won't be in the app store long. It's a tethering app disguised behind a flashlight app. Only 99c
Check macrumors for the link and how to use |

tethering is hooking up a laptop to a phone to utilize the phone's internet connection on the laptop

skype now has video calling for the iPhone 4 that works over WiFi or 3G...really nice. works great and i had a perfect video call with my dad last night over 3G...and that's using NY's questionable 3G coverage

Hey so I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a calender/ planner. ( I don't really like the one that came on the iphone). I mainly need it for like a typical college planner: classes, meetings, lunch dates, clubs, work, assignments etc. Pretty much I want my paper calender on my i phone but havent found a convient app to do this on yet!
|
i love istudiez pro for a college planner. it came highly recommended and I cannot sing its praises enough. keeps track of classes, assignments, exams, grades (including the ability to weight your classes/assignments for an accurate GPA), professors and their contact info, pretty much everything you could ever want for school, plus your regular calendar events show up on it as well. worth every penny!
