Best Chapter Websites?

What are the best sorority chapter websites that you have seen? What specifically do like about them?

letmeknow0210 03-18-2010 03:48 PM

Nobody? lol

Search for the terms "Chapter" and "Websites" in thread titles. ;)

IMO, all the UF sororities have the best websites.

I have to agree. They are very pretty and well designed.

You're right! Those are all super cute!!

Threads like this from time to time are important because the web development field is constantly changing. What was hot two years ago likely isn't anymore. My developer changed up our content management so we're in the middle of a migration -- we weren't really ready, but it was time.

The ones at UF are amazing! I definitely second that!

It's hard to find chapters with actual unique indivdual websites, since many HQs are going with a standard template for all chapters.

The UF groups all have great ones.

See also: Indiana University, UCF, Florida State, Clemson, Auburn. Many of the groups at those schools have great sites.

Don't those schools have pretty competitive recruitments? It makes sense they would have the nicest/best websites.

I didn't even think of that when posting it, but yes. I'd say so.

I also think that the chapters at UGA, USC, and UCLA have great websites.

The sororities at Pepperdine have nice Web sites.

You know, until you said that, I didn't even really check out the Phi Mu, University of Florida website. Once I checked it out, I was pleasantly surprised. Their site is incredible. I then looked at the other UF chapter websites and agree that Florida has some incredible sites. They are some great examples of what chapters should strive for when it comes time to create a website.

Some of the links are currently under construction, but I linked them anyway because the chapters (presumably) own the domain name, and will have them running again in the future.

Thanks everyone!

Sigma Sigma Sigma at Northeastern State University (Carrie Underwood's chapter). Not super-flashy, but unique.

MadysonBelindaR 04-05-2010 11:11 AM

After months of hard work and planning our chapter walked away from Chicago with a an award that recognizes excellence and dedication.

ree-Xi 04-24-2010 11:20 AM

Although I realize that it takes a bit of time to keep them going (my husband does interactive/multimedia web sites on the side), it bums me out when chapters let their sites lapse and have broken links, news from 2007, and offers absolutely nothing to PNMs or members. Especially since many I/NHQ have a standard format that you just plug your info into.

It's an interesting concept, but I found it pretty hard to read.
