Focus on graduating with as high a GPA as possible before you think about sororities.

I have a 3.6

That's good. Now focus on keeping it, or getting it even higher. Academics comes first remember.

vballmaddi 02-19-2010 01:00 AM

is that an okay gpa or is that not gonna do it. I know that academics are frist there really important. :)

Whether that GPA suffices really depends on your school and the requirements of chapters on your campus.

As far as advice, read this:

Be sure your spelling and grammar are perfect. I heard of a girl who got kicked out of her sorority for misspelling the name of one of the mascots!! Anyway, make sure this doesn't happen to you.

lmao
mascots are serious business!

I had a professor who lowered your grade one letter for EACH misspelling! You could have turned in an A paper, but still get a D.

my mind was in the gutter reading the title.

Me too (I was an English major). There was one who would give you an automatic F for any misspelling (this was a journalism course).

3.6 is okay, nothing to write home about. You should be more concerned about your grades in the context of your future and getting into college as opposed to how it will affect getting into a sorority.

Along with a strong GPA, make sure your resume is filled with extra cirricular activities, leadership positions, philanthropy work, etc. Not only will that help with sorority recruitment, more importantly it will help you get into the college of your choice.
