What does your school has for GPA standards?
I just want to get an idea what other schools have as their GPA standards.

ETA: There may be minimums that is required to rush, but each chapter likely has its own standards. |

Confused. |

I thought that too, but he posted under Greek Life. OP (I believe) apparently is in the process of rechartering LXA. I think that following the lead of other chapters would be most prudent, but alas, some people still believe 'tis better to consult strangers than actual members of the organization that they are in/trying to get into. |
What did my school has?
I don't think you'll have to worry about that. |

GPA
At the University of Central Arkansas, you must have a 2.3 to go through recruitment.
Our National Organization (Tri-Sigma) requires a 2.50 Our Local Chapter requires a 2.65 - not rounded up. |
ours at ADPI is the highest at our University to be recruited
you need a 3.0 to recieve a bid and a 2.5 not to be put on academic probatation once you are initiated |
2.5 at CSU-East Bay to go through Panhellenic recruitment
|
I believe the individual chapter GPA requirements range from a 2.5-3.0.
|
i am asking for recruitment.
|
My chapter is the highest at my school as well:
3.0 to receive a bid 2.6 to stay active 2.8 to stay on E-Board |
This is just off my school's panhellenic page.
Chapter GPA: 2.5 Leader's Council GPA: 2.75 Cabinet GPA: 2.5 |

I am talking about the schools requirements. I know my fraternities and schools requirements. I am curious to know what GPA you must have just to get a bid, wheather you follow the school standards or go a step further and require higher standards than what is required. Because we just changed our GPA standard from a 2.5 to a 2.6 and I want to know if that is too low.

It's up to the members in your org. Do you want to attract people with higher GPAs? If so, make sure you have programs in place to help people maintain/better their grades, such as study buddies, library hours, grade-check-ins (is that a word?), etc. When I pledged, we had pledge class library hours (at the same time), as well as additional required library hours (we signed in at the circulation desk). For those with a GPA below a 3.0, you had a "study buddy", usually an upperclassman who was in your major. You might want to get a hold of the all-campus GPA, the all-Greek GPA, and the individual chapter's actual/minimums. Again, you should contact other chapters of LXA for advice. If you can't make a decision, use an aggregate of what others use, poll your members, or follow what other LXA chapters do. Really, WE cannot help you decide on a number. |

I just wanted to know YOUR SCHOOLS GPA standards, NOT your chapter, NOT your internationals. I justed wanted to know YOUR SCHOOLS STANDARDS. I know what LXA STANDARDS ARE. The one thing that makes this site useless are people like knight shadow and they decide to leave comments on how something is worded, those are waste of comments, not to mention i have to scroll through those comments to get to meaningful comments. So please stop being a pompous waste of space.

OP, consider this. Had you been more specific in your request for info, explained why you wanted to know this, and used proper grammar and spelling, people would have been more willing and able to help. The old computer adage applies: garbage in, garbage out.

Why does it matter what others schools' standards are? It's been three days and I still don't understand your intent. If you tell people WHAT YOU WANT and WHY, they will more likely help you (or try). |
now i understand why Tom left, the hospitality here is that of a black man visting the deep south, you aren't going to find any

Wow, holy inappropriate comment, batman!
It's fairly obvious now that this is Tom, trying to make a point. Yup, Tom, you made you're point. We are aware that you're still an idiot. |
