Hey guys, sorry to intrude on your forum, but I had this in my files from forever so I thought I would share . . . you probably have these in your song book already. I gave some copies to our AGD chapter here but I don't think they were interested . . .
There are three songs so keep scrolling . . . and tell me if you like them? I think they are cute. Thats the best use of brown eyed girl by any sorority that I have heard before. I do believe every sorority uses that dang song.

These songs are GREAT! Mambo #5 was so cool my Senior Year, since we had a sister with every name in the song...we went nuts when we heard the song at parties or on the radio!

So I've been meaning to post this song on here for all of you, and rather than creating a new thread, I was a good girl and dug up an old one to reply to. :)
This song was written by Zeta Theta's Fall 1997 new member class, and it is sung to the tune of Madonna's "Material Girl." There used to be additional verses, but we shortened it to use it for our skit at recruitment, and these are the only lyrics I can remember. Pretty awesome Brown Eyed Girl song...it's a "thing" for our chapter to sing Brown Eyed Squirrel just about everywhere and do our dance and all...but we don't change the words, except for "squirrel".

I just tried the "Hymn", and the first run-through after download is ticky, but second went well. Same with "Our Time is Short" and "I'm an Alpha Gamma Delta". I am running Media Player. I suppose it also depends on your download speeds. I had a similar experience when I first looked at things on YouTube--let them run once, then re-play. Could be my ancient machine? Ah, ancient is relative, huh? If you're still having problems, maybe there are others and we need to turn it in to Communications Dept--please let me know!

Our baby squirrel class wrote a song to sing to our graduating seniors. It was to the tune of "you belong with me" by Taylor Swift.
We made the verses fit with our group of girls, but the chorus went something like: We wear dresses, letters and gam shirts You're in the real world and we're on the bleachers Dreamin bout the days when you'll come back and find That your baby squirrels are lookin' SO gam fine! Can't you see that we're the ones who understand you? Been here all along so why can't you see? You belong with A-G-D... you belong with me. :) |
Our new members sing a song/rap every year for the Cream Of the Crop competition.. and we've changed songs like "baby got back" to "gams love chops" Alot of it is related to LXA since they host the competition but they're very cute!
