In one of the old threads that was bumped it mentioned an AIM chat room that people talked in. So I wondered why it couldn't happen now. Room is currently open and the name of said room is 'GCChitChat'. If you have problems contact me at XAntoftheskyX on AIM.

I downloaded AIM just to enter the chat, cause my phone doesn't allow me to enter AIM chat.

I mostly use Digsby(aim/email/fb/twitter), but I redownloaded Pidgin for this.

Aww, sorry I missed out-i guess AIM on BB doesn't support chat. But Yahoo IM does, just saying ;)

And yes, some people still use AIM! lol It's 400x better than using FB chat and I don't really need to IM people outside of AIM.

Also, many people have had issues finding the room. I'm not sure about AIM, but most clients use the ctrl+C function as the join chat feature. Room is still "GCChitchat" and IM me if you have any problems.

Y'all can't keep me up so late if I come by tonight..lol. I managed to function at work on 4 hours sleep and I even worked out tonight! I'm going to try trillian this time..

Sooo how late does the chat go normally?

Well, we've had two nights so I'm not sure a "normally" has been established yet. However, I cut out at 11:30ish Eastern time last night. Not sure how long the others stayed on. The first night, I was on til almost 2, which was way too late for me for a work night..lol.

We left pretty much around the same time you did. I think DS and I left within a minute of you leaving.

Aw man, I'll have to get in on this sometime. I've always wanted live GC!

I finally figured out how to get into the room w/o needing help lol.

So the room is open now (hopefully i did it correctly). Same name as it has been :)


Eta: I decided to open it up earlier for the GCers who have to work early-ish.

I thought I knew how to find it but I guess not :( I'm xxpoliricanxx (lol, I made that one about 7 years ago....)

Just so you all know you can click "new group chat" from the drop down menu, put the right chat room name in the place and invite your own screenname - worked for me last night...

ETA: Lucy it won't show up when you search (i've tried searching forever!) This is what you do (i'm just reiterating what Gusteau said ^^^ there)

Go to "Menu" in the tool bar
Go to "New Group Chat"
In the "screennames to invite" write your screenname there (you can erase whatever names are already there)
Then in the chat room box (at the bottom) type in "GCChitChat"
then click "send"

and that will automatically put you in our chat room. :)
