Ok...so they have announced the new cast for both "Project Runway" and "Models of the Runway". This link only has pics and information on the Project Runway cast.

After waiting for eternity for S6, this is kind of crazy

I'm glad they're bringing it back to NYC.

Here's to hoping for some contestants with personalities this go around.

Wow, didn't expect it to happen so quickly since s6 took forever.

Season 7 starts tomorrow night! Hopefully this season will be better.....

Tomorrow? Wow. Well, I also hope the judges are more consistent... as in they actually show up! Last season felt very disjointed to me, with different judges each time. I like the 3 constants with one guest judge much better.

Ooh yes!!! It's back with a vengeance! Love that they're in New York again. We've got some interesting characters too. Anthony is a riot. Ping is so out there weird. I think this promises to be a great season.

Can someone please explain to me how Ping ended up in the top 3? I may not be a "fashionista" but that outfit was seriously wrong. The model looked like she was drowning in fabric. Again, I'm not a "fashionista" but how many women want to wear clothes that look like they are 3 sizes too big for them? Not me.

Loved the winner, can't remember his name though. His dress was awesome.

Agreed, that one was terrible. I cringed when I saw it and thought she would be the easy first eliminated. My husband thought she would stay because they sometimes like the crazies. What do you know, husband was right! I was especially surprised because they kept talking about wearability, hanger appeal, and who would buy what.

Those judges make no sense to me! Although the winning dress was nice and normal people would like it. More than Ping's, anyway!

Yeah, Ping is just weird. She doesn't use the mannequins...she designs the clothes on herself, which affects how the clothes will fit on the model. I didn't like her design at all, and how she got her model to do some little dance step on the runway looked stupid to me.

I liked the winning design, but I wouldn't buy that dress for myself.

I forgot it began this week and only caught about 20 minutes of the rerun. Yes, ping is a little strange. The fact that she didn't have a dress form at home blew my mind. She kind of reminds me of the hippy-chick that was on about 3 years ago that spit on the fabric to mark it.

When you ask who would wear Ping's outfit - Nicole Richie, the guest judge, said that she would!! She wears all that oversized stuff that swallows her up like one of the Olsen twins. I used to think it was to cover up an eating disorder, but Nicole Richie looks healthy now, she must just like to wear sheets.

I loved the outfit that won too, I would totally have worn that back in my 20's.

I also thought Ping would be in the bottom three. Color me shocked that she was in the TOP three!

And I LOVE Anthony! He sounds like Paula Deen. I giggled when he called Tim "Tee-yum." :-D

What my husband pointed out about Ping's outfit was that the challenge called for an outfit that represented the designer's point of view. Ping's design certainly did that. Nicole Richie really seemed to like it, though, I can tell that Nina did NOT! When they move on to challenges that require them to make more mainstream designs, Ping will go bye bye.

A friend from my hometown is on the show this season. Anna Lynett. I'm really impressed with her work thus far and I adore her as a person, so I hope she does well :)

Ugh seriously why do they keep Ping in! Her dress was HORRIBLE!!! The model's a$$ was showing!

I'm glad Jay won though, because his dress was AMAZING!

I was VERY impressed with what most of the designers did with burlap!! I think they've got a really great group this year.

Ping-not so much... She seems like the "Shock Value" contestant, they have one every year.

Ping also actually used the mannequin this time instead of putting it on herself! Pamela's dress was much better than Ping's...I agree her dress didn't make the model look all that great, but Ping's was awkward and vulgar looking with her model's butt showing like that.

It makes no sense. I mean the judges should be looking at "which one would women wear". Hand's down, no questions asked I would have worn Pamela's over Ping's. Pamela's wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't the best one.

I don't think I will ever understand the judges on these reality shows.

Ping's outfit was simply GROSS. Unfortunately, on shows like Project Runway, the producers actually have more say than the judges. Hence why Ping most likely stayed; she's a guaranteed mess, which theoretically means higher ratings.

I was shocked that neither Ping nor Jesus went home this week. Pamela's dress wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't the worst...but I guess when the judges are bored or "question your taste level" then that's the kiss of death.

Also, I thought the "petal" dress and Mila's dress were MUCH MUCH better than the dress that won.

I think what it boiled down to was the judges mentioning they wanted to see what else Ping had to show.

I was surprised Jesus didn't go home - he totally missed the point of the challenge and usually they send someone home for that. That and I think he sucks as a designer. And while I thought Ping's dress was AW-FUL, of course the judges/producers would keep her around for entertainment value.

It will be interesting on Thursday to see who gets paired with Ping and Jesus. That should be a challenge in itself. Maybe they will get paired together and we can see a trainwreck occur!

I like what she has done so far, plus she seems very sweet!

Wow! Ping was a disaster last night! Glad it didn't ruin her partner's chances. I thought the winning design was good but I liked the sculptured dress that basically came in second much better.

^^^ Agreed! And I'm really glad Ping went home...she really bothered me.

I'm soooo happy that Ping is finally gone! I think the judges just went for something different when it came to the signature, high fashion, look choosing Mila's over Maya's, particularly since Mila's was a separates outfit.

I felt bad for Jesse throughout the whole episode.

I would have lost my mind if I had to work with her.

Ok...IMO there is no one who really stands out this season.

IMO it's MUCH better than last year! At least some of these designers have clothing with personality.
I like Mila, Amy, and Seth Aaron. Emilio, Ben, Maya, and Jay are okay, too.

Agreed. I'm so sick of Mila. I thought the winner's print was awful, and I didn't want the auff to go home.

I can't stand Mila. Her dress looked like rainbow barf, and her model couldn't walk in it at all. Yet she stays? BS.

Here's what I want to know?

Why do the judges keep complaining that Anthony keeps doing the same design over and over again, when back in, what was it season 3, Uli did the same dress (literally) over and over and over and over again and they just LOVED it. I was like will someone please call Uli on her crap and they she just redoes the same dress with either a different length or a different print!

I really think that the final three will be Seth Aaron, Emilio and Jay. I think Seth Aaron will win in the end. I would totally buy and wear his clothes, but I wouldn't be able to afford them :D

ASUADPi, I've noticed that the judges are NEVER consistent. They will hammer someone over something they've let someone else slip by on. Or one designer will have one bad week and get auf'd, but another will get saved because s/he has done well so far so this might just be a slip-up.

I'm not sure I want to keep watching without the one who got eliminated! :mad: Well, OK, I am intrigued by the previews next week... looks like something major goes down.
