Kenny Latimore's song was "Only For You" was sang at my wedding. My brother's friend sang is as good as (if not better than) Kenny himself. :) Now if I had the chance to do it again, I definitely would have Brian McNight sing his new song "Love of My Life". I am just absolutely IN LOVE with this song. It clearly reflects how I feel about my husband. :)

luxious99 10-15-2001 01:27 AM

There's this gospel song called "You Are My Joy." I don't know the name of the artist who sings it but whoever he or they are, they would most definitely be there.

#1 Leading Lady 10-17-2001 04:50 PM

In my best Cedric the Entertainer voice "Luther....I mean BIG Luther though the one with the curl not quite right" I don't know the name of it but you wanna hear it? Well it goes like this....

One look in your eyes

what true love really means

For me, it would be "My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration" by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. Yes, I know I took it back, but I've always liked that song and thought it was very pretty. I guess that when I heard it again in "The Wood," it brought it to mind again.

RENEEDST_22 11-02-2001 10:02 PM

My List:

1) Brian McKnight: Never Felt This Way
Or Alicia Keyes singing it! :)

2) Stevie Wonder : Ribbon in the Sky

3) Jill Scott: Long Walk

4) Mary J. Blige: Share my World

5) Indie Arie: Brown Skin

AKAtude 11-04-2001 07:39 PM

I Love This Topic!

The two songs that were sung at my wedding...

Patti LaBell - "My Love, Sweet Love"
Celine Dion - "Because You Loved Me"

I saw The Wood on Saturday and it's performed by Teddy Pendergrass, solo. I checked the closing credits. Two other songs I'd like played at my reception are "Together Forever" by Shai and "I Gotta Be" by Jagged Edge. I've always loved these songs and I think they're really nice. :D
