Prayer/positive energy request

My 41 yr. old sister is expecting a baby girl in April - last week she had a worrisome ultrasound. She is going to a specialist tomorrow, and it appears there is a 70% chance of something serious being wrong. Please - she is asking for prayers, positive thoughts, whatever you do in your spiritual life - at 3:00 c.s.t. tomorrow. If everything can't be okay, I'm praying for my poor sister to have the strength to cope with the devasting news.

Thanks, y'all.

SydneyK 11-08-2009 09:05 PM

UPDATE

THANK YOU ALL - my sister just called with the wonderful news that everything looks NORMAL - boring, ordinary, run-of-the-mill NORMAL which is music to our ears. Our God is an awesome God! Thank you from the bottom of my heart - dozens of people have been praying since last week. She calls it a miracle - and you were a part! I am so grateful.

southbymidwest 11-09-2009 07:23 PM

So wonderful to hear! I hope she has a healthy, happy, and normal rest of her pregnancy and delivery!

xxstardust 11-09-2009 07:26 PM

ComradesTrue 11-10-2009 11:15 AM

How wonderful!

Hope that the rest of her pregnancy continues to be "boring, ordinary, run-of-the-mill normal."

Be sure and let us know when the munchkin gets here.

I rarely post anything very personal here, but I wanted to ask for prayers for some stuff my husband and I are going through.

I already have a genetic, progressive, terminal illness, which greatly effects almost everything I do. His doctor is will be evaluating him for a degenerative condition, and depending on how that goes, tests will follow. Because of my illness, I am sick frequently. He is the breadwinner in our little family (only a furbaby), and he is so scared that if something happens, he won't be able to provide for us. We are both in our 30s.

I ask for strength, courage and patience in navigating the unknown, and the ability to accept and deal with the results, if they are not good news. I don't like to complain, but when it's my hubby going though this, I feel lost. At least when I get sick(er), I know what to expect. He's always been healthy otherwise.

Thank you in advance for listening. I have my rosary out and am going to be wearing it down over the next week!

epchick 11-17-2009 06:27 PM

Most definitely! I'll be praying for you and your husband :)

I wanted to update those of you who were so kind to me. My husband's condition is still *unknown* but we have eliminated some of the scarier possibilities. Unfortunately, tests take a long time to get scheduled and followups even longer, but we have a lot of strength right now. Thank you.

FSUZeta 12-18-2009 06:17 PM

well, i am going to take that as good news-the scariest things having been eliminated. good wishes and prayers to you both!

Leslie Anne 12-18-2009 08:42 PM

I just noticed your post, reeXi. You and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers.
