Has anyone else used GreekClothing.com? They are horrible about getting orders out in the time frame you ordered them. I placed an order on July 29, 2009 and did not receive my merchandise until the first week of September! I paid for priority shipping. I contacted the individual that confirmed my order once I placed it, emailed the company address and called and left a message and I never got any reply from them. I received my merchandise which was just as I had ordered but the correspondence with the company and delivery was horrible. They advertise great specials but I would not trust them. What if you ordered your bid day shirts through them and did not get them until way after bid day, that would be pathetic. I would not recommend them to anyone!

I've used them. I liked them. I always got my stuff on time. It's pretty strange and unfortunate that your things were late. Is it possible that mid summer is a high-volume time for Greek companies? (early rush for several schools?)

Possibly? However, not getting in touch with me after I contacted them several times was not a good thing either. Especially when the website specifically says that if you leave a message, they will get back to you within a day or two. I never heard back from them. I understand recruitment is a busy season, however, they should have put a disclaimer saying "Due to the high volume of orders during recruitment season, we cannot guarantee such and such will be delivered in a timely manner" or something like that.

APhi, I agree that that's not ok. But I've always been happy in my transactions with them. We've done a lot of large-volume stitched letter orders and they've come pretty quickly. This fall I placed an order for 16 jerseys on September 1st and requested delivery by the 17th, but didn't pay any extra fee or anything. I never heard from them, so I emailed them asking when the shirts would arrive. They emailed back within a few days with an approximate date, and the shirts arrived on the 18th. I thought that was acceptable.

It's funny that you posted this, because I placed an order a few weeks ago, and was sent a UPS tracking number on 9/17, with an expected delivery date of 9/21. There's no tracking info in the system. I emailed them on wednesday and tried calling today and got a voicemail box is full message. I emailed them again after that and said if they didnt call me back soon I was going to dispute the charges with my CC company.

Irritates me....I've not had trouble with them until now. :(

Usually, when anyone orders at my school, they take forever to ship. The clothing always looks great, but it isn't actually shipped until like 4 weeks after I place the order.. and then it takes a week on top of that.

I had a horrible experience with them last year and very nearly didn't get my littles' gifts in time for bid day. When I called, the dude was rude and when I asked why their production time takes so much longer than somethinggreek (who has wonderful customer service and got my order to me in a reasonable amount of time) he said that maybe I should just go there instead and they didn't want me as a customer. Seriously.

Before we hung up, I told him that I would be telling every greek I know how I was treated and they shipped my order the very next day. Hah.

So...... my order from them came in this week and on one of my shirts, the lettering was crooked AND off-center.

WTF! Is this how I am repaid for my loyalty? LOL

I emailed customer service and haven't heard back yet.

Oh my goodness! Don't even get me started on greekclothing.com...I ordered $210 worth of merchandise on April 20, 2009...Guess what? I STILL have not received it, I have only received one thing out of the order and it is September 27th! It has been over 5 months...that is ridiculous! I have probably sent them about 30-35 e-mails over the 5 months asking when my merchandise is going to be sent and they never reply, their phone number doesn't work it always goes to voicemail which is usually full so you can't leave a message anyway. I could go on and on about this experiance but it would take forever. I will NEVER order from them ever again, I want a refund or my merchandise. I have even filed a complaint with the BBB that greekclothing.com never responded to...it sucks...

I hate Greekclothing.com!!!! I have ordered from them before and they over charged me by $300.00. I decided to give them a second chance and I ordered something Sept.4 and I recieved and email from UPS saying that I would get my package on the 22nd and I never did.. I'm telling my whole greek community to never order from them!

So, who do you all recommend for great quality and service now?

I still havent received my order. I did finally get an email back from them, but it was very shady, and vague:

WTF? Yeah, I know it's a busy time of year, but you shouldnt send email notifications with UPS tracking details that say 'your item will ship on 9/17 and be delivered on 9/21', if that's not the case!

I'm not sure who I'll order from now. This makes me sad, because they were my favorite.

I haven't received ANY notice regarding an exchange, either.

I have had some bad experiences with them too. Verrrrry slow. You can trying reporting them to your nationals or greeklicensing.com. Report to the BBB doesn't really do anything.

I don't know what's up with them right now. I've never had a problem until this fall. I put in an order the very beginning of October for a bunch of hoodies and one "budget tee", since it was discounted after I bought so much stuff. In the last week of October I had heard nothing, so I sent them an email. No response, but I got the hoodies about a week later. They were shipped to the right address, but the name was totally wrong... weird. I'm also pretty sure they used light blue sweatshirts instead of carolina blue, but I was just happy to get SOMETHING.

Anyway, the tee wasn't included. I sent them another email with the invoice attached, asking for my shirt. I still have heard nothing, and it's been about 2 weeks (and almost 6 weeks since the order was placed). I called them, but no one picked up and the machine said they're no longer taking phone inquiries and that you HAVE to send them an email, which they'll respond to within a day or two. :rolleyes:

So... not sure what to do. They're cheap and the quality is good, but the customer service is atrocious.

i had ordered some stuff from greek clothing.com in july of '09, got an e-mail in aug saying it was going to be sent to me. i then ordered something from greekgear.com in oct. and recieved that before my first order, i also got something off of their clearance items and never recieved it, they said they would credit my debit card, but i havent seen the money yet.

I had the same issues. I sent them an email when I seen that the voicemail was full. They ended up giving me a couple of free shirts for my trouble. But I haven't used them since then. If you are looking for cheap shirts w/o patterns www.coolschoolstuff.com has really good deals. I've been using them for some time now.

i would try greek101,greek gear,greek u and something greek.ive had some pretty experiences with those companies!

I was very wry about using coolschoolstuff.com b/c the website looks so bad.. but so does Greek Clothing's and their stuff is good quality.

Well, if I know nothing from this. It will be to never order from this website...

Yeah I had a horrible experience with this company myself. I ordered a sweatshirt for a lil bro on 11/23 and by 12/22 I never received any tracking number, any response back to dozens upon dozens of phone calls or quite a few emails. So I called up my bank company and disputed the charges with the company and got a refund. Would never recommended this company to anyone. Customgreekthreads.com is a legit place to order from. They actually called me back when I ordered on 12/23 to see if I wanted my order shipped for x-mas as a gift for someone, which assured me they actually owned a telephone.

yeah it seems like they've really been dropping the ball lately. we ordered some shirts that showed up several months later, and instead of getting compensatory shirts like they promised, we got stale now and laters and a half eaten lolipop.

Just an update on what is going on with greekclothing.com and my order it is now December 27 and I still have not received my order that was placed on April 20. 8 months...are you kidding me?! That is completely unacceptable and I wish I could convince everyone to never use greekclothing.com ever again, I really think something needs to be done. I don't understand how they can just take my $210 and never send me anything and get away with it...They tried at one point to tell me I returned the merchandise (that I never received), however that makes no sense because if I had returned the merchandise why wouldn't they refund my money? Anyway, the last I heard from them was on October 16 when they told me that since it has been so long since the purchase date (which is completely their fault, since their phone is worthless and they hardly ever respond to my e-mails) well here is what they said,
"Due to the duration of time between now and the purchase date we can either offer you a check in the mail for 160.72 or I can offer a credit to the site for $185.00. We are very sorry for the confusion caused. That is never our intentions.

Obviously they don't care at all...anyway I replied saying "Well, it is not my fault that it has been so long since the purchase date. I have been e-mailing since the begining with little to no replies. And as you can see it has been almost 3 weeks since you have last e-mailed me so obviously this length of time has been caused by you. I would like a full refund back on my card. Why does it have to be in the form of a check?"


I don't trust a check because for all I know it will just bounce when I try to cash it, and since I never got the merchandise the first time, why would I want store credit?



The reply to that e-mail was only this "The card expired from the time you purchased. Banks don’t allow it. Sorry"


I happened to be on the phone with my bank and asked them if this was true, and they informed me that I could give the company my new card number and they could refund the money there, and they were able to call my bank if they wanted verification. I sent them an e-mail informing them of this and received no reply. Yesterday I sent them my 4th e-mail since their last reply in October. I doubt they will respond to it... I don't understand a company can get away with something like this. Especially since there are so many people with complaints just like mine or similar out there. There are 87 complaints against Greekclothing.com on the BBB and 63 of those complaints (including mine) were not responded to and are still unresolved. I think we should do something, I don't know what my next step should be. I tried disputing the charge with my credit card company in October but was denied since the length of time since the purchase was made had been so long. I am upset and out of $210. What can we do?!?!


Sorry for the long read btw! But this is a very important matter to me, and im sure many of you feel the same way!!

Considering this thread is one of the first things that comes up when you google them, hopefully that is happening. I hope everyone gets some satisfaction from these jagoffs.

I hope it is at least making a difference! Obviously it can't be hurting their business that badly or they would be making at least some effort to solve all of these problems! Unfortunately, their prices are the best around and that sways a lot of people to at least give them a chance, especially since the majority of their customers are college students who are usually tight on cash as it is. However, even if it is a really good deal, (I was going to get 2 hoodies, 2 pairs of sweat pants, 3 or 4 t-shirts, and a long sleeve shirt for $210) it doesn't make a difference if you never get the merchandise. I basically threw away $210, and now I am scared to order letters from anywhere else because I keep holding on thinking I'll eventually get my stuff, and im scared it will happen again somewhere else.

Anyway, anyone who reads this, please don't be fooled by their great prices! It is too big of a risk to take ordering from them!!!

Yeah that's ridiculous. I took the money I got refunded on my bank account and purchased a better hoodie with more personalization on it for only 7 bucks more on the 22nd of this month after I gave up on greek clothing, and I just got an email from the company customgreekthreads saying my order has shipped along with a UPS tracking number and I should get it on this Weds the 30th. Wow, 8 days versus a month of a no show/no answer. Something needs to happen with this greek clothing company because if this many people are having this issue it's def a problem. And I'd hate for even my worst enemy to be swindled by that company.

I'm going to have to agree with you guys. Originally I was for Greek Clothing, but I put in an order for some sweatpants and a baseball cap in Aug (yeah sweatpants and a baseball cap DON'T take that long). and didn't get it until Nov. I have never experienced anything like that from them, but now I will agree. WILL NOT be using them anymore. I was lucky to get my order.

They must be under new management or something -- I have NEVER witnessed such a rapid decline for a Greek clothing company. I, too, will not be using them in the future.

I ordered a lapel pin from them about 8 months ago. I never got the pin. I've called 15 times and sent about 30 e-mails and I have yet to hear back from them.

I won't be using them again either.

Is this the first resounding "No Rec" for a Greek company on GC?

I think so- I told my chapter not to buy from them... I'm hoping other people follow suit.

Every once in a while when I get extra frustrated about this whole ordeal I post a status on Facebook reminding the greeks I am friends with not to use greekclothing.com, unfortunately idk how well that has worked out. I also was lucky enough to recently get an internship at the headquarters for the sorority I am in. Next time I go to work I think I am going to tell my story and see if anything can be done about it!

This is seriously a legal issue....I've said it before but I'll say it again, I seriously don't understand how they can get away with this...

Obviously there is an insane number of us who are all in similar situations regarding greekclothing.com is there someone higher up we can get involved? I really think we have a case here...they are accepting orders taking the money out of the customers bank account and literally just not processing and sending out the order, then ignoring e-mails/calls from the unhappy customer.

I can understand if this happens to a few people that they could get away with it, but I am certain that there are hundreds of people who have ordered from their site and received nothing! I know I have plenty of documentation of most, unfortunetly not all, of the e-mails I have sent to them. I do however have copies of all of the e-mails they have sent me (not that it was very many). I have documentation of me trying to despute the charge through my credit card company, documentation of the BBB complaint, and documentation that they took the $210 out of my bank account.

Hopefully those of you who are in the same situation have been keeping those things as well.

I have no legal background, but I know there has to be a way we can do something about this. Beyond just warning others not to shop there!

I used them based on your rec, and now that you won't use them, neither will I. The stuff I got in the past was well made, a great price, and sent out FAST.

Argh, I'm bummed that this place has gotten such terrible reviews. I wanted to get a crew neck sweatshirt from them, because they were so cheap and sounded decent. Does anyone know another place I can get one for about $20? Most sites I've looked at are more like $40. Gah!

The only place other than a local shop I have ordered letters from is greekclothing.com which obviously was a mistake. However here are a few places I have seen that have crewneck sweatshirts. I can't tell you how the quality/customer service/ etc are of these places but maybe someone has used them and knows haha! Good luck!!

Greeknation.com has some for $30.95 above $20 but below $40

Greekgear.com $30, however the image they have has the letters photoshopped on to a person wearing a crewneck, so I don't know what the quality of the letters would be...also at the top of the website it says "Save 20% today only! Use coupon 'Holiday20' " so if you are planning on buying tonight that may help you out some

There are others, I guess you just have to look around and try to find coupons like the 20% off to help!

Lucy, when I order online I usually use greekt-shirts.com. I have two sets of letters from them and I have been pretty satisfied with the quality. The Gideon shirts start at 23, but shipping is free.

ETA: Sorry, I can't read. The sweatshirts start at thirty, but standard shipping is still free, which is something I've always appreciated about this site.

I really like A Greek Concept (www.agreekconcept.com) and Gone Greek (gonegreek.com). They are both reasonable cheap, great quality, and awesome service.

Gone Greek even called me once when they were making a tote bag for me to tell me the Vera Bradley Pattern I picked out didn't look fabulous on the blue fabric. They then sent me pictures of color combos they liked better so I could pick out a cute bag.

Back in the day, we used to get sweatshirts on clearance and bring them in to a local vendor to have letters sewn on.
