Grey's Anatomy Season 6
Grey's Junkies: Are you ready for Thursday's two hour event?! :D:eek:
Who else is watching GA on Lifetime? :D |
as i don't have DVR, i'm really trying to figure out how to make Thursday work.
it's CBC week, so i have a couple of commitments Thursday night. I can't watch all 2 hours online and my friends will not let me "catch up" before they blurt out everything that happened / will happen if i've missed an episode. decisions! |
Piece of advice: If you go to DVR Grey's a day in advance, don't read the summary of the show. Ruins the whole thing.
I did, however, find out that I was right in guessing what would happen :) |
I've seen two "previews" on Youtube so I know what's gonna happen. But I've been counting down for WEEKS, I need my Grey's now!!!
I've been coping by watching reruns online and, last night, I came across an ep in season 3 I hadn't seen!!! That was an awesome treat! But tomorrow needs to get here like yesterday. :o |
WHERE are all my GA people? lol!!!
|
Grey's tonight.
But boo, where is Private Practice? |
A few of my sisters are coming over to watch with me! I'm super duper excited! And unspoiled... can't wait for some surprises...
|
Private Practice is next week at 10. :D
|
Ahhhhhhhh, so good and only 6 minutes in!
Watching Grey's Anatomy counts as studying for gross anatomy (what I SHOULD be doing), riiiiiight? Right. |
Good lord, grief takes on different forms. This looks like some funerals I've attended.
|
I thought his fellow interns reactions were so... them. It's going to be weird seeing the group without him.
But Sloane's question? SERIOUSLY? Ugh. |
This was so worth the wait. So much going on already, especially with all the different forms and times of grieving. The scene in the cemetery was indeed...them. :)
I'm so so glad GA is back! |
A spoiler thingy said a couple months ago that someone was going to have a really unusual reaction to George's death. Right now, Cristina and Bailey are frontrunners on that because C is waaaay more inappropriate than usual and B is just out of her mind. God bless these actors because they rock my world!!!
|
^^^ I'm banking on Bailey having a terrible reaction. She's already got the added pressure of a divorce if she chooses the pediatrics program.
|
Whoa.. I totally wasn't expecting that ending.
|
WARNING: My post contains spoilers.
From the sounds of the episode, I believe she's already in divorce proceedings. I rewatched the season 5 finale, and she asked the Chief if an attending position is still available. She said it was because she would need the extra time she has to spend with Tuck, since she'd be a single mom. She wouldn't take the ultimatum that her husband was offering. And, obviously, she's an attending now. It wasn't all that I hoped. The last 10 minutes was good, just like the season finale. It reminded me of how incredible this cast is. I LOVE how Justin Chambers is developing as an actor. The writing wasn't top notch, in my opinion. But, not terrible. I'm so excited to see how the next few weeks play out. The Mercy West twist is really intriguing... and I'm so glad Callie will be back! I'm really enjoying watching Mer/Der as a married couple, and Alex and Izzie too. I just hope that Meredith and Derek will actually get a marriage certificate. I'm all for marriage however you see fit, but COME ON. |
No. Freaking. WORDS.
Loved the funeral scene. Loved Mer/Der and the inappropriate sex. :D THE COUNTER!!! Chief actually came unglued. Bailey. Why this woman does NOT have an Emmy is a travesty!! Alex, oh my Alex!!! Lexie/Sloan/Callie: bwhahahahaaaaaaaa!!!!! Yang and Hunt: FINALLY!!!! George: wow.. that was a great send off. THE ENDING???!!!??!!! WTF?? No stinking MERGERS!!!! eta: but I have no. freaking. words. |

2. "So are you really gay? I mean, how gay are you on a scale of 1 to....gay?" :D:D:D 3. Alex = AWESOMENESS 3. Bailey = really sad awesomeness :( 4. I thought I'd gotten over the death of my co-worker. But watching how broken up everyone was over losing George brought it all back. :( I bawled for like 10 minutes after it ended and now I have a headache. Good night, GC. |
It was a good season premiere, but I was honestly ready for the show to end after 45 minutes. I was >< close to going to bed at 10. I did watch the whole thing though. I'm hoping they don't get rid of the chief. I liked the ending with Christina and LOVED how Bailey got the organ teams to say where his organs were going. Now that was a pitch for organ donation. I'm surprised they didn't add a the More You Know for it during commercial breaks.
|
I loved Bailey & Der in the elevator at the end when she said she needs to stop caring so much on the job, O'malley wasn't her child & Stevens isn't her child, she needs to save that love for her own son. I was boo-hooing like a baby.
Izzy & Alex at the end was also one of my favorite scenes. I was so glad he opened up to her. Go Alex! |

*sigh* The laughter at the funeral was classic GA. As was Christina's reaction at the end of the episode. |
I bawled off and on through the whole first hour. I had pulled it together but lost it again when Bailey was quizzing the people about who was getting George's organs. Such a great moment and totally believable if you were presiding over the harvest of a friends' organs.
I am glad we will be moving away from Izzie's cancer storyline for a while (now that she is "living with cancer") but I predict the writers will lull us into a false sense of security and then bring the cancer back with a vengeance by season's end. I do not think K Heigle is a lifer on GA. And, so happy Der and Mer are finally happy - here's hoping they can stay that way for a while. I think Yang and Owen will be filling the angst void. |

^^^LOL is that how you spell it? I was spelling it (in my head) "sauviche." *runs to google* Looks like we're both right, I found yours in English website and mine in French ones. Together, we're bilingual! lol :o
I was thinking today that I'm really glad to see Cristina with Owen in counseling. After Mer went to counseling, a lot of people said that Cristina should go and this is a really sneaky way to get her there. |
"Girls talk, Karev...maybe you should consider that the next time you judge my post it note."
Hilarious! :D |
Last night's episode?
I was very proud of Mer. Alex screaming was too funny. McSteamy's speech was spot on! I didnt like the kids, but the man's comment about the granddaughter had me ROLLIN'!!! The wife especially got on my nerves. New Mercy West people next week, hmmmm. . Private Practice!!! Ok, I LURVE Charlotte now!!! |

And I guess now we know how they handled Ellen Pompeo's pregnancy. Stick in her bed to recover for a TV month. |
I didnt really like Charlotte in the beginning, but she's grown on me. Especially last night with the martini bit! "Do I look like I care about your boobs? Because you look like you need a martini."
|
I loved this week's episode! I cried and cried but so many great moments.
|
Great ep! I was NOT expecting Cristina to pull that! Yea for Callie, she had that coming! It made me so nervous when Shonda said that eventually everyone in the cast is going to go (I think I read that on Grey's Insider). I know most shows don't keep all of the original cast forever, but that was a scary comment!
Did you see the PP preview where Sam kisses Bailey????? My heart jumped for JOY. It would be my heart's desire to see them get together and have their own spinoffs (though I feel like Grey's would cease to exist without Bailey). |
Every show this season makes me go WTH????? Will she be back? Is she off the show? Anybody have any dirt or spoilers? WTH???

Alright. I can deal with that. I was actually thinking that maybe they just hadn't wanted to kill off two major characters in one episode so they just delayed her permanent departure. This I can deal with. She can go film a movie :)
|
I thought the Katherine Heigl departure was great. There are so many ways to bring her back now, but I'm sure it will have something to do with the HR/Chief bit.
|
OMG @ Alex last night!!!!
I love Hector Elizando!!! When Callie started quoting back at her dad I was so happy for her!! Arizona's speech was wonderful. Izzie!!!:eek: |
I missed the beginning of the show. Why was Meridith in the hospital bed?
|
She gave part of her liver to Thatcher last week. And to cover up the last part of her pregnancy. Same thing with Izzie, she took some time off to be with her new baby.
|
I think the merger storyline has potential...it brings out the good and the bad in the characters we know and love (or love to hate). But, the writers have to find a way to make the new people competitive but likeable, and so far I am not digging the girl that was with Alex or the guy that was with Izzy. The black guy that was with Cristina and the diary girl with Lexie have potential...I hope they are the only two who stay.
IMO, they should have eight new characters: - 2 attendings (one cardio, one OBGYN) - 2 residents to replace George and Izzy - 2 interns to interact with Lexie - 2 nurses as background |
WHEN ARE MEREDITH AND DEREK GOING TO GET MARRIED FOR REAL????? The Post-It was cute at first, but we're 6 episodes in. I need to hear some "I DOs." Or at least get that thing notarized.
Izzie. :( Alex missing Izzie. :(:( Hearing Callie's dad pronounce her middle name the Spanish way was waaaaay different than the way George pronounced it. George's cubby. "And by the way, I can tell." *points to nose* :D Cristina crying like a 2-year-old whose daddy neglects her broke my heart. But we've only seen Cristina cry when she lost her baby and when she lost her man. Seeing her cry because she's not being "seen" made me wanna shake her a yell, "Pull it together, Yang!!!" I'm all for character development, but woooooow. And someone on FB mentioned that she sounds like a Sesame St. character when she cries...I wasn't gonna say anything about that, but that's a pretty accurate descrip. :o Even though Meredith is too upbeat and "Go Team" for my taste, the way she responded to Cristina made my heart melt. They are the quintessential besties. :) |
Dear God,
Please let Bailey convince Sam to come to Seattle Grace to be the new Cardio Attending. I know he hasn't been a surgeon in years, but he clearly still has the goods and the chief hires people out the woodwork anyway. I love a good GA/PP crossover and if I could have yummy Taye Diggs on my favorite show (and maybe give Bailey a good romance and romp in the on-call room for once in her life), I would seriously overflow with thanksgiving. Amen. :D |
