ADPi Recruitment Results 2009

In various Recruitment threads folks keep asking how XYZ did. I thought it would be nice to report ADPi results in one place.

Eta - University of Alabama

72 Freshmen + 7 Upperclassmen
(Quota: Fr=72 & Up=5)

Legacies who started Recruitment = 70 (all Fr)
Legacies who accepted Bids = 17

polarpi 08-19-2009 07:24 AM

Congrats, Zillini :)

BBelleADPi 08-19-2009 09:46 AM

I kept reading the Alabama thread, but never heard about ADPi, even though I knew you were in the thick of things there-so thanks for posting it. Also, thanks for putting up the legacy results-very, very interesting indeed. Is that about an average percentage of how many legacies yall have offered bids to in the recent years?

honeychile 08-19-2009 12:25 PM

Is that 70 legacies to ADPi?

Zillini 08-19-2009 01:00 PM

Yes that's 70 ADPi legacies who signed up for Recruitment this year at Bama. From a percentage standpoint, we pledged nearly 25% of all the legacies and that was a significant increase over past years.

FYI - Please keep in mind there were legacies who released us and some we released. Many of those who dropped us were legacies through Grandmothers, often at another school, and had other legacy connections through mothers and sisters. It's hard to compete with that.

As long as I'm on the subject of legacies, to all you Moms, sisters, and Grandmothers (even aunts and cousins) if your legacy PNM plans on going to a highly competitive recruitment and especially if it is a campus where there are nearly as many other legacies as quota (like Bama, Auburn, and many other SEC schools) -- please make sure you emphasize the importance of GPA. Legacies will be released if they don't have the minimum required. If you don't know the minimum for that Chapter, please contact one of the Advisors and find out.

Heard from my old roomie (our EVP) that TCU made quota but I'm waiting to hear the official number!

I also spoke to my ZTA friend who was in charge of Rho Gammas this year - she said she heard ADPi got an amazing pledge class.

I will keep y'all posted as soon as I hear official details! :)

Congrats to your daughter!!

texas*princess 08-29-2009 09:20 PM

I haven't heard what quota was @ Gamma Upsilon... all I've heard is that GU is the biggest chapter on campus for the second year in a row

em_adpi 08-30-2009 04:14 PM

Okay, still unsure what quota was at UNT... but I have been told they made quota (have 25 Alphas) and are over total at 93 (total is 85 I think), so VIOLETS to Gamma Upsilon!

In addition, one of my chapter sister's younger sister is a member of their new pledge class- needless to say, we're excited!

texas*princess 08-30-2009 04:45 PM

Violets to Gamma Upsilon!!

Congrats to your chapter sister's sister! That's awesome! I think quota was 22 @ UNT

nauadpi 09-08-2009 10:48 PM

I want to congratulate all the chapters with these wonderful results and add some that I just heard. Epsilon Xi at NAU has 40 alphas and quota I believe was 32 or 33. The new member class is the largest of all the sororities on campus. This also more then doubles the size of the chapter.

Fabulous! Congrats to Epsilon Xi and our lovely sisters at NAU!

NIU (Delta Omega) recruitment is next weekend (9/18-20). I'll let you know info when I do (which might be more frequently than usual - I'm planning to go help out on Saturday & Sunday).

IUHoosiergirl88 09-10-2009 03:25 PM

Just wanted to let you guys know we're doing our fall COR next week and I'll let you know how many Alphas we get :) Very excited to boost our numbers!

VAgirl18 09-10-2009 03:54 PM

ASU - Gamma Rho - 40 new Alphas

ASUADPi 09-13-2009 01:54 AM

VAgirl18- I LOVE what you listed as your location! Classic!!!! :D LOL

VAgirl18 09-14-2009 12:43 PM

Haha.. Since moving to the area I've lived in three different parts of the valley and have yet to see a rattlesnake or scorpion near my property. The times that I have seen them have been in the yard and house of a family friend in Carefree. They had a pair of mating rattlesnakes next to their pool last summer.:eek:

Zeta Delta - University of Montevallo - Montevallo, Alabama

Zeta Delta at the University of Montevallo had Quota + 1 run to them at bid day a couple of hours ago! That makes 15 new Alphas at the University of Montevallo where the chapter is now over campus chapter total for a total of 55 ADPi's!

ADqtPiMel 09-16-2009 11:22 AM

The Alpha Pi chapter at George Washington University has 43 new Alphas! Quota was 37, and they pledged all of their legacies.

I missed Bid Day because I picked up swine flu during recruitment (oh, the perils of being an advisor...) but I've seen pictures and the new girls are beautiful!

ssuadpi 09-16-2009 11:55 AM

I just heard that Theta Gamma at Sonoma State took 52 alphas!!

honeychile 09-16-2009 03:05 PM

Congratulations to everyone listed thus far! I'm sitting here, tapping my foot, waiting to hear our news!

Hope you're feeling better soon, ADqtPiMel. Getting all of your legacies is awesome!

Kali-n-Kohl 09-16-2009 09:00 PM

I just found out that Alpha Iota got quota at 18 new Alphas and has a chapter size of 72. Way to go ladies!

Good luck! I will actually be there with a few others for homecoming this year. I think we are staying at the house too! It's been 14 years since I lived there

IUHoosiergirl88 09-21-2009 09:19 PM

Beta Alpha is now the home for 9 new Alphas!!!!

nwADPi 09-22-2009 03:23 PM

A late addition, but Theta Alpha got 28 amazing Alphas! We are currently 5 away from total, the closest we've been in a year. We've been CORing the past week and should be to total by the end of the week!

Congratulations!! You're doing great as one of the "new kids" on the Chapter Roster!

ADqtPiMel 09-27-2009 08:31 PM

My sister just pledged ADPi at Ohio University (Xi chapter) -- she thinks quota was 26 and they got 28 new Alphas!

melfla4 04-12-2010 07:50 PM

Even later, as all of our Alphas have now been initiated but...Delta Pi at Ripon College in WI got 21 Alphas, the most we've ever had. We're now a single girl below total for the fall...unfortunately total is only 45 for us, but we do currently have 53 members, plus the senior class.
