Fav Online Greek Store

OK, so for clothing and bags mine has become www.greekclothing.com mainly b/c they'll beat everyone else's prices by 10% and they always have fantastic sales (like right now everything is 45%-65% off). And I've used them for the past 4 years and they've yet to let me down.

But what other ones are out there that you like? I obviously can find LOTS online, but some are not so legit, so I'd rather have someone vouch for them before trying. Just looking for fun sorority items for my family tree that's still in college.

perfectinpurple 08-12-2009 10:11 PM

I really love www.greekave.com

If you sign up for the newsletter there's always a promotion going on! Plus I love my sequined hoodie! It's the envy of all the girl's in my house :)

Psi U MC Vito 08-12-2009 10:16 PM

I just checked it out. Great prices. I'm also in shock because they are the first site I have seen that has my letters as a demonstration.

ETA: Greekclothing.com is a redirect to greekave.com

perfectinpurple 08-12-2009 10:31 PM

Oops! I didn't even realize that! How funny though!

Senusret I 08-12-2009 11:17 PM

Greekclothing/greekave..... you know, and this is no exaggeration, they have the best prices and the best turnaround. I got a crapload of gifts for some APO neos last spring and everything arrived on time and good quality.

I mainly will stick with them if I just need letters and no shields/crests or other more complicated stuff.

I like the combo packages at http://greeknation.com/

http://www.joetoga.com/ and http://www.collegecrib.com/ are my favorites for just plain GIFTS (not clothing)

http://www.greekgear.com/ has great specials sometimes too. I like them for screen printed shirts

Finally, http://www.thegreekshop.com/mtolympus.html for crossing jackets and the like.

pshsx1 08-13-2009 01:00 AM

I am subscribed to Greek Gear and Greek Clothing.

GG is a lot more expensive but they have a lot of stuff to choose from. I go to them if I need something non-clothing related. They also ship your stuff fairly quickly.

I go to GC when I need hoodies, jackets, and shirts. It's nice because their prices are low, I ALWAYS have discount codes (and they're always having sales!), and they have a lot of package deals. I recall one time seeing a lettered hoodie, hat, and tote for just $50something.

Our chapter President accidentally bought his Little a set of sequined letters from GC. He also bought them in the wrong family colors haha. So now we use it as the Brother of the Week award. We sign and date it when we recieve it and, of course, have to wear it :P

But I know of a ton of websites... When Oprah adopts me someday, I'll buy something from every website and see what I like and don't like.

Oh, and SigEpic is working on good stuff but I don't think that will help too much of anyone except me... :P

Psi U MC Vito 08-13-2009 01:55 AM

I know Campus Classics has some pretty good stuff. However they cater to the larger orgs.

jessica.lanelle 08-13-2009 08:10 AM

Greekclothing.com has some really cute stuff, but when I have ordered, they have been extremely slow with getting my order completed. I ordered some Sigma stuff last fall, and I also ordered some shirts for my birthday party last year. Everything was really good quality, though!

Senusret I 08-13-2009 08:14 AM

j.l, do you think it had anything to do with the time of year in which it was ordered? I was reallllly anxious when I ordered four messenger bags, but they came on time. (It was early/mid march)

I would have loved to have bought some sale stuff from them this summer, but I had already gotten everything I needed for the year. :(

I did order my Sigma things during early fall of last year, and ordered my shirts during the middle of January, so that makes sense that I happened to order right during the two most hectic times of the year. I guess that should have crossed my mind. The merchandise was, however, definitely worth the wait.

Coquiporvida 08-13-2009 11:37 AM

for a chapter of our size 2HypeDesigns.com works really well for us. the guy mostly does odphi apparel, but he also does other latino greek/multicultural greek apparel as well. i love what ive gotten from them!

perfectinpurple 08-13-2009 11:54 AM

The only time I've had an order come late from greekave is when I ordered something for Christmas.... although that's the busiest time for every company.

Great quality, and other than that one time all their stuff has shipped very quickly.

BabyPiNK_FL 08-13-2009 01:57 PM

Is there an option to have words put on the back online @ Greek Clothing? I can not locate it, and it's a necessity.

My FAVORITE stores are SomethingGreek.com and GreekNation.com GN offers tons of neat things and different fonts for clothes instead of the standard greek letters and they offer the bubble letter plate I want for my new Camry! SG has always done great jersey work for our chapter and I always order them there, even though they ship them in a box with no plastic covering to protect them from rain or the box itself. (When I ordered shirts however, they did come in a bag strangely enough). They have an amazing selection to choose from.

Has anyone ever used stitchzone.com? I want a full zip hoodie with the letters on the opposite side of the zipper and they are one of the few that offer it, plus they have a LOT of customization options.

ETA: NM, you have to call it in. Pain in the youknowwhat.

Angelicqt716 08-13-2009 02:57 PM

I've used greek gear and Exclusive Touch (extouch.com). I like both companies very well. I've heard a lot of good things about stuff 4 greeks, so I think I'll get my pull over from there.

aak4937 09-27-2009 02:53 PM

Greekave.com/greekclothing.com are HORRIBLE!! I ordered about $210 worth of merchandise from them on April 20, 2009 and have STILL, on September 27, 2009, not received my order except for one hoodie. That's it ONE HOODIE!! Are you kidding me? I have sent them around 30-35 e-mails during these 5 months and they are almost never responded to, and when they are the do nothing to solve the problem. It looks like I am never going to get a refund or my merchandise and it sucks! I don't even want to order letters now from anywhere else in hopes that eventually I'll get the letters from Greekave, if not its just money down the drain which sucks. I even filed a complaint with the BBB but greekave never responded to it. Yes they have the best prices, but it doesnt help if you pay good prices but never get the merchandise. How hard is it for them to just send me my order? It is their JOB! They say orders may take up to 3 weeks...and I've seen stories of people who didn't get their order for a few months. I would be pissed if it took a few months to get my order, but seeing as its been over 5 months and I still haven't gotten my stuff, I'd be happy to get my stuff in 2-3 months haha. :( Well I don't know what else to do, but think twice before ordering from greekave/greekclothing their good prices dont make up for their horrible customer service and not sending peoples orders out.

BrainsnBeauty 09-28-2009 04:24 PM

I agree with everyone else about GreekClothing/Greekave. I LOVE them. Their lettered shirts are very nicely done. I'm also a huge fan of Stuff4Greeks. I known their stuff is pricey, but they do amazing work. I typically order from them when I want something special. I like Something Greek and Greek Gear too.

Angelicqt716 09-28-2009 07:55 PM

Don't use simply greek either. I bought a visor, not a custom made one, back in August. It's a month later and I still haven't seen my visor. I've emailed with no response and called which goes to voicemail and goes unreturned. Maybe they'll send it in time for Christmas. :(

cahlersmeyer 09-29-2009 03:41 PM

obviously or SigEps only but I like http://sigepic.com

sigtau305 09-30-2009 09:19 PM

http://www.greekgear.com or http://www.spirit.cc

those are the two sites i order my sig-tau stuff from.

AnotherKD 10-01-2009 09:02 AM

Okay, so I know that I've seen sorority floor mats for your car online. But now I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find them??? THANKS!!

baci 10-01-2009 12:56 PM

Here are some and I am sure there are others.

http://www.greekgear.com/fraternity-...-car-mats.html

DEVODUDE 10-03-2009 05:35 PM

Here are several that some chapters I know use....

www.greekgear.com
www.Fratrow.com
www.somethinggreek.com
www.greek101.com
www.greekforme.com

I also found this one....www.GreekHoodies.com. This only sells hooded/crew neck sweatshirts and T-shirts.

ZBT:"Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present & Impacting the Future."

D-Phi362 10-06-2009 03:16 AM

I was wondering if anyone had found a site that does Cardigans for fraternities? The only place I've found them at is somethinggreek.com, and I'm not a huge fan of the ones they have there. Has anyone seen cardigans for guys while browsing any of these sites? Thanks!

http://www.stuff4greeks.com has cardigans for fraternities. I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but their work is quality. They do cardigans, vests and pullovers for both fraternities and sororities. I've ordered stuff from them before (when I had the money) and I'm never disappointed.

digidy122 10-22-2009 06:14 PM

dont use greekave. i placed an order sept 9th with ground shipping
weeks past by and nothing. calling them takes you straight to an automated message saying the mailbox is full. emailing them leads to nothing but them repeating the order is on the way.
one 10/21 i received a full refund from them. the following day i recieved my order, completely different from the letters i ordered.
these guys re very shady dont use them. i fully recommend somethinggreeek.com they have actual people on the phone when you call them and have live online help too. my order came in less then a week and it looked amazing.

LucyKKG 10-27-2009 06:49 AM

I realize this is totally an issue of personal choice, but does anyone like crewneck sweatshirts? I have all hoodies, but I'm thinking about getting one. They have a TON of color options on greekave. I just tried on a silly oversized penguin crewneck sweatshirt that someone gave me years ago, and I think I'd be down if it actually fit me.

Omg why am I still awake??

AEcutiePhi 01-11-2010 03:29 PM

somethinggreek.com is the only site that I use and I have never had any trouble with them.

cobu 01-26-2010 05:56 PM

This can't be real. It's probably just as fake as the tracking number they sent me. greekave SUCKS!

www.alphahouse.com

Good work, fair prices.:)

TPA85 02-07-2010 02:48 PM

Have any of you GCers purchased customized Greek clothing from ebay users trotter06 or zeroopoint?
They are fairly priced and their ratings are good (btw, I think it's the same person with 2 accts, not positive though) but I'm always so hesitant to order anything without seeing it, trying it on, and inspecting the quality first.

If you've ordered from them, how was your transaction with them and how well-made was the item?

Thanks, in advance :)

TPA85 04-15-2010 01:34 AM

"Trotter06" mentioned in my previous post is having a 21% off sale on a lot of the merchandise listed so I'm almost positive I'm buying a few things...
Wanted to bump first to see if anyone had any reviews/experiences before I make the purchase!

seaquin 04-15-2010 02:24 AM

I've purchased stuff with collegiategreek.com and somethinggreek.com and am very satisfied with them. I'd love to order something from greeknation.com sometime.

I like that Something Greek makes sweatpants with stitched letters on them. I had been searching high and low for that!

StriKtlyNupe 04-15-2010 09:00 AM

Greekave.com is the worst. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I ordered a shirt and a bag from them a while ago, and it took forever then when it finally came, the bag had Kappa Alpha Theta and not Kappa Alpha Psi. They do not answer emails at all. Your best bet is finding a store locally that does greek letter embroidery, this way you can physically go there and pick up your merchandise.

I've heard good things about www.stuff4greeks.com.

I wear my something greek sweatpants ALL the time. They're wonderful.

nittanygirl 11-27-2010 12:44 PM

what have people experiences been with joetoga.com?
They have some ridiculously low prices on discontinued items & I thought they might be good for holiday gifts.
Any thoughts?

SWTXBelle 11-27-2010 02:09 PM

Joe Toga

I often go to the brick-and-mortar store - the owner is very active in Ft. Bend Alumnae Panhellenic and they support the Greater Katy Alumnae Panhellenic. Good folks - I can't speak to on-line ordering, but can vouch for them overall.

als463 11-27-2010 02:39 PM

Beware of Greekgear.com and their horrible business practices

A week or so ago, I ordered a square mousepad that looked like this, which cost (before shipping) $12.95:
http://www.mcssl.com/store/checkitou...48c5f5e68b839e

After charging me almost $19, Greekgear sent me a circular mousepad that looked like this, which cost (before shipping) $9.75:
http://www.greekgear.com/2008pm.html

When I emailed "Betty" in Customer Service to complain, I was told that they had run out of the (more expensive) square mousepads so, they had sent me the (less expensive) round mousepad-even though they still charged me for the more expensive one...without contacting me beforehand to see if this was acceptable. She then proceeded to tell me that I could be charged only "half-price" if I chose to keep the round one...AFTER I had sent her the email stating I was unhappy with my purchase.

This is the message I received after telling her I was unhappy with them sending me the wrong mousepad, for which I was charged more money:

"I am sorry that you did not receive what you ordered, the mouse pad ordered
is actually out of stock and has been discontinued by our supplier. That is
why we sent the round mouse pad. I understand that you are not happy with
the one that was sent, would you like to keep this one for half price?"

I told her I wanted a full refund. She told me I could get one. When I called to ask her if they would be refunding me EVERYTHING to include the shipping charges, she rudely stated, "That's part of the entire cost." She acted as if I was inconveniencing her, even though they charged me EXTRA for an item I didn't want. They have horrible customer service and this is not the first time I have dealt with them messing up orders. I figured I would let it go and continue to use them-in hopes they woulnd't always screw things up. Be careful what you buy with them. I ended up finding the proper mousepad, elsewhere and ordered it.

Greekgear.com will no longer be getting my business.

I used Joe Toga once and I really liked them. I haven't used them recently though, but I've been looking into it. The layout of their website doesn't make it easy to support them though.

^^^ That the owner is an active Greek makes me even more likely to support them.
