Zeta Cheers
Hey everyone! I was wondering if we could all share our favorite Zeta cheers, chants and songs! This past week our campus finished Sigma Chi Derby Days (ZTA won!) and I realized during some of the events how few cheers we have. Our chapter has so much spirit - I'd love to learn some new cheers and songs to share with my sisters. What are your favorites?

I think most of you all know this one. My chapter doesn't know that many cheers. :( I'd love to hear what you all do.

our pres and vp membership brought this one back from NLC this past summer and we love it. We line up on our stairs during recruitment and yell it out to get pumped up!

One of our chapter's faves is the Conversion song...I'm not sure how popular it is, so here are the words -

At my school our very favorite cheer is the echo song. Here are the words, just repeat every line.
Z ZT ZTA Zeta We like, we like, we like Zeta Oh no no no not another We are the sisters of the ZTA fraternity, there are no others with out love and loyalty. Z-Zeta, Zeta Tau, Zeta Tau Alpha This all goes along with a little knee, clap, snap thing. It is really fun and we do it on the first day of rush. There is also this one that I love. Dianne, I haven't heard of the Nickelodeon one either. I have a few ZTA cheers I really love....we just use them a little too much, that's all! Here's one:

A song I like is: Hoorah for Zeta, Hoorah for Zeta Someone in the crowd yelling Hoorah for Zeta Z-E-T-A Who's it gonna be today? Zeta...that's who, rah, rah, rah!! They look kinda silly typed out but are really cute in person! I'd love to hear anyone else's, though!! I am the music chair at UM St. Louis and this is really helpfull. I would really love a pm from the Roo Ra girl or anyone else who know that tune and I will so call and you can sing it to me. It is like my personal goal to know all possible zeta songs. This one I learned last semester when I was a Rho Gamma. Apparently the Iota Omegas got it from a sister who transfered from Miami Ohio. Months later, it STILL gets stuck in my head (but I love it because it's so cute)! It's to the tune of Supercalifragilisticexpiladocious.

I love Nickalodeon and the Zeta Z-E-T-A-T-A-U-A-L-P-H-A. I love when we sing them for bid night cause theres just sooo much energy!
Here's a cute little chant we just learned: Who's wears the crown? I say the Zeta's wear the crown, And when the Zeta's wear the crown, We make them ALL BOW DOWN! It's really cute haha |
the tlc who visited kappa tau chapter during rush workweek last fall taught the girls a really cute chant from her chapter(kappa-u of texas):
Z--E--T--A--. we're the girls from zeta, Come right in, you'll want to stay, You could be a Z-T-A. there is some rythmic snapping and arm swinging involved too. arms extended down by sides on Z and T and bent up at elbows with finger snap on E and A, and continue that thruout song. absolutely darling!! |

Im from the Theta Psi chapter at texas state!! We bounce with all of our chants and we stack the door and all that jazz! We do some of the cheers yall have mentioned but a bit differently so here are our variations!
Z-E-T-A We're the girls of Zeta Come on in and you will say We're the BEST, We're Z-T-A! Maybe mentioned before but I sometimes find myself saying:
"Ra ra ree, who the hell are we? We're the Zeta ladies, we're the best sorority!" to myself whilst doing errands or whatnot. |
