KKPsi/D9 I Have questions about this Dual Membership

I plan on Pledging a D9 frat but i also wanna pledge Kappa Kappa Psi ,
Ive heared its ok to pledge them both and heard of alot of people who do. But what are the rules like
Whose colors do you wear and when...
whose line do you step on ..etc Fill me in. ..... who do you stroll with if theyre both on the yard?

You will figure out all of this IF you ever get a chance to become a member of these organizations.

:)

Worry about the more important things right now. Good luck.

Most people that pledge talk to folks in real life :)

Don't depend on the answers of strangers. If you are really concerned, then ask about it to the respective orgs on your campus. We really can't, and won't, answer your question here. That is the 'drift' that you are getting.;)

DrPhil 07-31-2009 02:53 PM

My smartass trumps your dumbass. :)

Also the things you are focusing on are trivial things that have little to do with the core of the organization.

I know this has nothing to do with why i want to join i wanted to join a d9 because they appeal to me and i have d9 family members but i also have a love for music and been a drum major for a couple of years and am planning on becomming the drum major at my college ... the colors and the steping was just something that conflicted so i bought up the question

That's something you need to figure out if you pledge. For oen thing you are going ot part of one of the orgs before the other. Plus the whole stepping and colors thing for KKPsi might depend on the local chapter culture as well.

I think what KS is trying to say is that you should want to join an organization solely because you care about it and love what it stands for, not just because you have relatives. Do you have any D9 org in particular you want to join or just want to join one of them in general?

This thread will go nowhere.

GreekAce, you need to be speaking to people that you know in real life. If you can't speak with real people, you won't be invited to pledge and won't have to worry about dual membership, anyway.

But can you wear both colors and step in both lines? Those are the philosophical questions that we've been griping with for centuries. Pondering those questions now makes you a winner at common sense and intellect.

I am. Too bad you're still an aspirant with minute questions. :)

And you got an appropriate answer from someone you have chosen to call a smart ass and stupid:

Worry about the more important things right now. Good luck.

And in the meantime, if you really want more information, talk to people you know in real life.

Oh, and until you actually do become a member of at least one of these organizations, you might want to stop calling yourself GreekAce, as you're not yet Greek. (Based on the attitude you've shown here, the Ace part seems debatable as well.)

GreekAce 07-31-2009 05:04 PM

that isnt the order that the convo went in so dont try to twist it ... i didnt call him a smart ass until he was really being one .... and really im suprised most of the people who answered this question turned out to be really repulsive it was a simple couple of short answer questions seriously look at what i asked simple questions could have been easily answer but instead im in a argument with some fag saying wahh wah my mommy wont let me be greek and im greek and your just an aspirant like wtf... i thought greek organizations lifted people up and helped them become more MATURE and better people.. now i hope i just had bad luck so far on who answerd but i hope when im ready to pledge im no where any chapter with members who behave like that and i quote "

Do you know someone in a D9 org or the music group you're interested in? If so, perhaps you should ask them. They're the ones who can answer you.

The best piece of advice I've heard here is to ask whoever you would ask if you couldn't ask on the internet.

Oh and PS, I hope you don't speak or act that way in real life or you're going to have a hard time joining anything.

You're doing the twisting, there, Ace. Dr. Phil (who is a she, btw) gave the appropriate answer I quoted above. You then basically gave an answer to your own question:

to which she simply said:

A. Periods are your friends. Spend time working on learning how to communicate in actual sentences and without calling people "fags" instead of worrying about wearing colors and stepping. You make it really easy not to take you seriously.

B. Keep showing the attitude you've shown in this thread and I really don't think you'll need to worry about who's in any chapter where you go to school because they won't be inviting you to join them.

AlphaFrog 07-31-2009 05:51 PM

GreekAce - we've had some presumptious posters here, but you're in FTW on that.

1. Go to college.
2. Concentrate on your grades.
3. Join the marching band.
4. AUDITION for Drum Major and worry about Fraternity related things.
5. Have a good life.
