Michael Jackson rushed to hospital
 

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Pop star Michael Jackson has been rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital by fire department paramedics, the Los Angeles Times reported on Thursday.

The newspaper said paramedics went to the singers home and found he was not breathing. They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene before taking him to the UCLA Medical Center hospital.

No further details were immediately available.

TMZ has reported that he has died, but confirmation from the hospital or the family is not yet out

The news here just said that he had a heart attack and that he's not doing well and that family is on the way to the hospital.

I was just coming to post the news is saying it is unconfirmed about his death.

I have a friend at TMZ; he said they have someone there who's tight with the family and usually accurate.

Crazy that TMZ has the scoop before any of the broadcast news outlets make it official.

Elizabeth Taylor's PR person released that he was in fact breathing and fine... sent it to all the media outlets...

and Fox news reported the paramedics said he was not breathing when he was picked up...

This can't be true. There's no way. I'm watching the news right now, and I haven't seen anything about MJ.

LA times says he is in a coma...

LA times, via NBC, says he's in a coma.

Imma wait on my cnn email alert, since I don't have cnn.

Not sure... Tmz reported he was dead, unconfirmed, and then comfirmed, they said... there are a billion different reports... coma, dead, etc...

Hmm. I unfortunately have some very personal experience with what can happen when someone stops breathing and then are "revived" only to be in a "coma". I will pray that it's not the same, but if it is, it may just be a matter of tests to determine if he is actually able to recover or not. A coma implies there is a possibility of recovery, that there is some brain activity. That's not always the case if the brain goes too long without oxygen.

Everyone is just waiting for a family member or doctor to confirm whatever state he is in...

Ok ABC is reporting MJ dead, via LA times.

I'm sticking to he's not dead, because if he was it would be on the news right now, on every channel as "Breaking News".

They need to get it straight!!!!!!!!! TMZ should not have that he is dead on the front page of their website if they are not sure.:eek:

LA Times and CBS just reported it as well....but CNN hasn't confirmed it.

CNN has just reported his death. Therefore, he is gone.

CNN says the only thing they can confirm at the moment is that he is in a coma...but according to the LA Times and CBS, a "family friend" claims Jackson is dead.

Wikipedia has reported that he died, and therefor it must be true!!!
