Serious question:

Your username suggests you're already in a fraternity. Why exactly are you asking for this info?

KSUViolet06 06-05-2009 07:11 PM

Just for the record, if you're not Pike, you need a new username.

VandalSquirrel 06-05-2009 08:21 PM

Maybe his family has a pike fishing business...

Gusteau 06-05-2009 08:29 PM

Does anyone remember the weird rush story about "Mike the Pike"?

pikemike 06-06-2009 01:25 AM

You're a brother of PKA that's transferring, or you have a biological brother who's transferring?

And are you seriously gonna be a smart ass when people are trying to get information to help you?

pikemike 06-06-2009 10:43 AM

haha damn. I shouldn't have to explain myself this much. I just thought there were people on this site who would respond to the question rather than pick it apart. You guys take this shit way too serious. Ya, I'm a pike my brother isn't in a frat, hes a frosh possibly transferring to wvu. I'm just wondering if that would hurt him.

Um, if you want an accurate answer you do...

There's an Alpha Phi from WVU on GC so maybe she could give you some insight. You could also shoot an e-mail to the president of your WVU chapter and ask him about it, I'm sure he could give you an honest answer on your brothers chances at getting a bid.

QFP

So we're obligated to help you, even though we know absolutely nothing about you? You think that's the best way to get an accurate answer?

Clearly, you prefer being an asshole. You won't get much help that way.

pikemike 06-06-2009 02:11 PM

Knight Shadow you are such a loser. You're not obligated to do anything. I'm not anxiously anticipating an answer to this question. It was merely a thought that crossed my mind, and I figured this would be a good medium to post it on. It's clear you can't help me and that's fine, so stop posting. Personal information shouldn't be required for a straight answer.

Aww, now my feelings are hurt because pikemike the username doesn't like me :(

No one asked for personal information. We asked for you to clarify the situation so we could give you a straight answer. You chose to act all e-hard instead.

It's always fun when new folks with 5 posts who have been members for 2 days try to tell seasoned posters when/how to post.

If you're already a brother, why does competitiveness of the Greek system matter?

SWTXBelle 06-06-2009 03:19 PM

Maybe a biological brother?

I graduated from WVU in 2007 and still talk to some sisters who are still in college. Greek Life is definitely not competitive for the fraternities. Pledge classes for both fraternities and sororities are a mixture of freshmen and sophomores. I'd definitely recommend fall fraternity rush to your brother, as the events are more publicized than spring rush. He should check the DA in the fall during fraternity rush week (usually the week before sorority rush) and most of the houses will have ads in there for their events. They also advertise them outside their house.

There's also a Pike chapter at WVU.

Reminds me of a kid I knew who's last name was Cox, lived in Coxville, and went to USC whose mascot is the Game Cocks!
