WVU alpha phi 06-04-2009 04:13 PM

updates?

xi_pinkrose 06-04-2009 04:29 PM

I am only counting 16 codes. Did one NPC not participate?

Round One, Day Two

littleowl33 06-04-2009 08:56 PM

Loving this story so far! I'm a little confused, though - since it sounds like Formal Recruitment was in the fall, is this Spring COB? If so, is every single house participating? It sounds like you're on a schedule - is that normal for COB at your school? I always think of COB as a few smaller houses doing their own thing, but it must be different there!

33girl 06-04-2009 09:48 PM

LMAO at Paris Hilton being the whore sorority.

You used Lindsay Lohan twice.

I really think you should go back and give the uncoded house a code, because regardless of what you think or have been told, they do welcome women of different religions. To exclude them is tacky and rude.

:)

foreverinpink 06-04-2009 10:25 PM

Oooooh! I love these stories! You're a great storyteller! Can't wait for more, Go Jennifer Aniston!

I think the confusion lies in that she implied she could have rushed in the fall but chose not to. If it's spring FR, shouldn't she have not been able to rush in the fall?

This campus has fall FR, but this year they added a spring FR because of changes in admissions policies. They allow first semester freshmen to apply to fall FR. That is...if this is the campus I think it is.

Love your thread, keep the updates coming! Keeping my fingers crossed for Jennifer Garner.

Thanks for clearing that up! Though I can't imagine being required to do two FRs a year instead of one. I'm worn out with just FR in the spring and COB in the fall! Here's hoping your FRs are no frills, because ours isn't and it really eats up the budget. I wonder how many schools do two FRs... I've never heard of that, so it can't be too many.

Looking forward to more updates! :D

"The room was hot, the girls were sweaty, and we had to scream to hear each other over the music."

LOL! First time I've heard a recruitment party described THAT way!!!:)

foreverinpink 06-05-2009 07:40 PM

No! A cliff-hanger! Post soon, I love your story! :)

Third Round: Prefs!

UGAalum94 06-06-2009 12:50 PM

I'm really interested in and enjoying your story.

I'm also curious about how this recruitment worked on your campus. About many PNMs were at each party for prefs?

ETA: I don't mean the specific groups broken down by number, just on average.

ScarletBlueGold 06-06-2009 02:51 PM

How did Paris Hilton make it as a code name for sororities named after actresses?

UGAalum,

I would estimate that during Spring Recruitment, about 500 total girls went through. The Round 1 and 2 parties were about 25-30 girls per, and not the whole sorority was required to pick up girls (that would obviously be way too many sisters per rushee). At Prefs, there were around 15 girls per party. These are just my estimations, and are probably way off the real number! =]

Thanks!

(I was just curious because even though there was a quota some really great groups took fewer girls and I just wondered how it all worked.)

Hahaha so true, but her description was semi fitting.

Agreed! :D

OPhiAGinger 06-07-2009 05:54 PM

The way the OP fit the actresses to her perceptions of each house made it really easy to keep them straight, even though there were so many of them. I just hope she never reveals the code. The members of the Tara Reid or Paris Hilton house would be mortified!
