Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Oh Jeez. Apparently, OC, New York, Atlanta and Jersey aren't enough.

Bravo TV is currently searching for women to be featured in the Beverly Hills installment of the hit show.

They need to keep the Real Housewives out of Texas. We're good here :p

texas*princess 05-19-2009 05:13 PM

I agree they need a RH of Dallas.

There is some show called "Mothers & Daughters" that is supposedly filming right now & following some of Dallas's richest families.

I don't think it will get much ratings though.. it doesn't quite have the "brand equity" or name recognition that the Real Housewives has

BabyPiNK_FL 05-19-2009 05:17 PM

I don't know if I could take another California one. Why there? Did the Orange County women begin refusing? Who is interested in Beverly Hills anymore?

VandalSquirrel 05-19-2009 07:43 PM

I'm waiting for the Real Housewives of the Carnival Circuit.

I might actually watch the carnie drama, people fighting over who gets to operate the tilt-a-whirl or what item should be deep fried and sold instead of Snickers or Twinkies.

SthrnZeta 05-19-2009 08:27 PM

I think Dallas or Houston would be a good next city for RH. How many seasons have we had in Cali already...?

I'm completely bored with them. I'm ready for the ultra drama of New Jersey!

I'd like to see one of the Michigan cities. There are more than a few ritzy areas (like where the late Jeff from OC's kids live) here that I'm sure would provide tons of entertainment.

I thought that was Jersey?

I can hardly stomach the OC any more. I mean, how many implants and unafordable facelifts can you buy? I doubt BH will be any better.

PM_Mama00 03-21-2010 05:03 PM

The infamous NJ finale is on right now.

Lynne's face does NOT move. True story. On the ep when she cried about Gretchen criticizing her parenting, she was crying, but there was no movement in her face.

I also find it odd that she had no idea that they were about to be evicted. Don't you get like a billion notices about that stuff?

Sidenote: Can we get a Real Housewives of Beachwood for the Ohio peeps? lol.

PeppyGPhiB 03-22-2010 11:24 PM

Beverly Hills is only an hour away from Orange County. I don't get it. It'll be exactly the same, pretty much, except I'd call the OC "ladies" wannabes.

I'd like to see a Real Housewives of Seattle, what with all of the Microsoft, Starbucks, Amazon, Nordstrom and athletes' families, millionaires and heiresses we have here. Plus we have mafia. Though the show would really probably be set in Medina and Bellevue mostly, not Seattle proper. The show needs something a little different, and I can promise our richy rich families here look way different than the stuff on that show currently.

Me! lol. Really.

I've always heard that 'OC' is different than places like BH and other more well-known areas. So i'd see RHOBH.

I wouldn't necessarily really like to see a Real Housewives of Dallas (ok maybe I would cause I am in Texas), Seattle, DC, or other places.

I understand there are wealthy people in those areas, but to me the whole thing is about getting an area where people are interested in 'prying' into peoples lives. Places where more celebrity/well-known people live.

I'd really loooove to see a Real Housewives of Miami/South Beach area.

DreamfulSpirit 08-31-2010 02:51 PM

The cast of RHBH has officially been announced and will premiere on Oct. 14th.

from an LA native...Beverly and Orange County (its huge people...many cities, but it looks to be Southern OC)....is a 180 from Beverly Hills....

I don't watch it...but if they really want to know where the really money is in LA..it would be the Arroyo Seco area (Pasadena...think Rose Bowl)...those residents *laugh* at BH and OC....

MUSK81 08-31-2010 05:17 PM

I loved Kim Richards in the Disney flicks as a child and I'm anxious to see her in RHOBC - I love all the RH shows except OC. Just couldn't get into that one for some reason.

ellebud 09-01-2010 02:03 AM

Note to All: These are not ladies from Beverly Hills. One lady lives in the Palisades, probably a few from Brentwood...but not here. BH and OC are very different however...and the ladies hired for BH don't represent us. OC is a very different, ethnically, physically and lifestyle. Not good/not bad..just different.

MUSK81 09-01-2010 09:38 AM

Ellebud -based on previous RH shows, you'll probably be glad they're not really from Beverly Hills! ;)

greekalum 09-01-2010 11:51 AM

Didn't Kelsey Grammer get divorced this summer?

ellebud 09-01-2010 02:09 PM

Yes, he got divorced. And yes, I am VERY glad that these aren't the neighbors on the show. We're boring...we take care of our families, some work and some don't....and we are generally involved in a charity or two. Oh yes, and we go to lunch occasionally. We are BORING!!!!! (Thank goodness)

Splash 12-23-2010 03:02 PM

Am I the only person who can't stand Kyle?

joliebelle 12-23-2010 03:28 PM

^^ I really can't stand her or Camille.

DrPhil 12-23-2010 03:34 PM

I was getting ready to bump this thread. :)

I like Kyle but don't like Kim. I think Camille won't shut up about whatever happened and of course the show edits to make it more dramatic. I laughed when Camille had the dinner with her quirky psychic friend (she's a psychic "celeb" but I don't remember her name). She was probably playing it up for the cameras but I really wanted her to shut up.

I don't like Camille and she's so ridiculous. The more she goes on and on about Kelsey Grammar(sp), the dumber she looks, seeing as though he left her and is parading around with a new woman now.

ellebud 12-23-2010 04:09 PM

I believe that Camille didn't (a)know that he was cheating and (b)doesn't want to admit that what she thought Kyle said, but didn't say, was the voice in her head telling her that no one "wants" her except if she's with her now ex, husband was the truth.

There is an organization here for the ex wives of celebs. Started YEARS ago because it is a tough transition from demi/hemi/sorta celeb to the old broad who isn't importent anymore.

Kelsey (yes, we are on first name terms--kidding) has ex wives and girlfriends all over the place. Why did she think that she would be any different? (Sorry, age old rank).

But OMG the fake nobless oblige.

Benzgirl 12-23-2010 05:21 PM

Watching this show makes me realize how much I appreciate living in the rust-belt.

Chicago88 12-23-2010 08:14 PM

I cant stand Taylors husband. Who spends $60,000 on a four year olds birthday?

ellebud 12-23-2010 11:52 PM

No one. It was the FIFTH birthday...and it wasn't the child's party. It was mommy's party.

LikeASista 12-24-2010 01:11 AM

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo glad this thread has been bumped. :) I absolutely LOVE this show.

I actually like Kyle. She doesn't seem fake like so many of the others. I think she is so beautiful, ... and her husband is one heck of a hunk, too! Why the producers are painting Kim as the dim-wit of the show is very interesting to me, though. LOLOL!!

Also, when I first started watching the show, I thought Adrienne was the trouble maker. Judging by how snappy she is with her husband, I just knew there would be no pleasing her, but she turned out to be the one who is the peacemaker. I really respect her a great deal.

For a while, I wondered why the heck Taylor was even on this show at all. I found her uninteresting to say the least, especially with her annoying-to-watch upper lip. But when she tore into Kim at the dinner table, I knew she was not one to mess with. I now view her as a very genuine person and experiences REAL emotions on he show. I feel the same way about Lisa, who is also a very supportive friend of everyone, but she manages to keep an even keel throughout all the drama surrounding her. I love the furry friends she has, too. They're so cuuuuuuuute. And, hands down, ... the woman has a figure to be envied. I want to look exactly like that when I get her age. :o

Now, Camille is a whole 'nother story altogether. I liked her in the beginning, but who can't tell that she's a bit TOO close to that guy friend (whatever his name is) who randomly stops by to see her every now and again. She said it right when she mentioned how much she cherishes all the men in her life. I'm sure she's doing more than cherishing them. LOL!!

Her disputes with Kyle are utterly ridiculous, and have no real point at all. If I hear "she verbally assaulted me" one more time, I'm going to throw my shoe at my flat-screen TV! She just says the same thing over and over again. She honestly believes that she is a nice, and kind, and friendly, and sweet person when what she REALLY is, is a FAKE person.

And that psychic friend of hers, Allison Dubois, is a nutcase. While it is not uncommon for psychics to be ridiculed as frauds, there is even MORE hype surrounding Allison Dubois, because even the psychic community has denounced Allison Dubois as authentic. She is an opportunist who will stop at nothing to be seen by the media (which is probably why she did the Housewives episode in the first place). Her comments like, "I can tell her when she will die and what will happen to her family ... " or "If one of their children went missing ..." are highly inappropriate for someone who is all about infusing love from The Other Side. And what the hell is an electronic cigarette??????!!! Are you SERIOUS?!?!

Fourth or fifth, Same difference. Its still stupid.

And I didn't realize Kyle and Kim's sister is Paris and Nicky Hiltons mom.

Sometimes the written word doesn't translate to the intention: I was being (or trying to be) silly and petulent. The whole party was totally inappropriate and really not done (much) here.

Kyle and Kim's sister is Kathy, who had her own reality show for a season. Kathy was/is a really nice person.

I do watch the show. It is a reality viewed throough a fiction lense. (Can't wait for the RHONY).

Does anyone else think that Camille's male friend is there to get face time with the camera? I feel like he is trying too hard to get an acting gig.

ellebud 12-24-2010 01:26 PM

uh yeah.....................agree

Yup ... All the visits, tennis practice, motorcycle rides, ... I mean, come on. Who can't tell this guy thinks he's a real looker. And the way Camille kisses him so romantically when he's leaving her home shows how close the two of them REALLY are.

ellebud 12-24-2010 06:34 PM

On the over hand, her "husband" was busy in New York. Who knows what kind of marriage/arrangement they had? She had to be a true fool to think that she was the last and greatest love of his life. he has a string of relationships (and children) a mile long. It is called keeping one's options open. (Not my thing, but it is done all the time.)

"The Morally Corrupt Camille Donnatacci Grammers," Soft Porn Past http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_805342.html

In Beverly Hills, appearance is everything. And now, thanks to her scorned castmates, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer will be forever seen as an erotic film star. "The Housewives discovered softporn pictures of Camille online and sent the links to everybody they know," an insider tells Life & Style.

In an e-mail chain obtained by Life & Style that was aptly titled "The Morally Corrupt Camille Donatacci Grammer," the Housewives sent around video stills of a topless Camille and a link to a description of her steamy soft-core career. As it turns out, not only did Camille pose nude in Playboy, but she also bared all in two erotic mid-'90s movies - Marilyn Chambers' Bedtime Stories and The Naked Detective. "The women started e-mailing the links to one another and writing the funniest comments," says the first insider. "They loved that several porn sites listed Camille as having an average body and looks and too-large boobs."

Camille quits RHOBH:

I don't like Kyle. She's always making rude/sarcastic remarks/expressions and then wonders why she doesn't get along with Camille? And if she's truly not the troublemaker, then shouldn't she be the bigger person and refuse to fight with her? Maybe it's the editing, but Camille never explodes, it's always Kyle.

Edit: All the things she said to Taylor tonight. "Does your husband not want to see you have fun?" That's a pretty mean thing to say when it seems really obvious that he's a homebody introvert.
