We are not a member of the universities Panhellenic council, but it hasnt been from lack of trying on behalf of the Greek Life Office or the university. We just dont feel as if PHA serves our needs as culturally based sorority. (your situation may be different)

Yes, just one other local, but they are affiliated with PHA. Xi Omicron Iota.

All that I could tell you is that universities in MO arent accepting any more local chapters unless you become affiliated with a governing council on campus, and because of the potential liability. Im sure youve checked your schools policies. Good luck to you and starting a local is a very ambitious, but lofty goal.

Hmmm my alma mater. So interesting to see yet another local to go along with the two internationals. On the fraternity side there are no locals. I always find that interesting.

Edited to add: OUt of curiosity are you another local that came from the AOPi stuff?

well 3 of 6 of our founding mothers belonged to AOPi, and then they (including myself) disaffiliated, and started a local with 3 other girls, which has now grown quite well for our first Alpha class.

And as for locals for fraternities, there are two, both in Ottawa U, Omega Theta Alpha and Delta Pi.

The word "college" in the UK is like our high schools over here. Poster may be 16 by now, but she was 15 when she started the sorority. So I'm not sure it's really like founding a sorority in the UK like it is here... especially since in your previous posts you showed that you basically stole all of AXiD's stuff to start your group.
