Meals to eat while watching the "People of GreekChat" thread

It seems as if one of the 'combatants' of that thread told us to go elsewhere if we are hungry...

so I am taking orders...what'cha wanna eat?

So far we got popcorn raisnettes and sodas....

can I get a pizza?

Cheesesteak?

SWTXBelle 05-11-2009 10:22 PM

Okay, this made me LOL - forget that "you laugh, you lose" thread.

I'm happy with my popcorn and raisinettes.

I am sorry

All combantants must stay in the "People of GC thread" until there is a clear winner...

That is all

SWTXBelle 05-11-2009 10:28 PM

DS, I think I love you.

I just want finals junk food snacks and you people are talking food.

Things I want to eat tonight regardless of GC threads:
the Safeway bread with sea salt on it
Buffalo Chicken/Hot wings
Tim's Chips, either Luau BBQ or Sweet Maui Onion
Pastrami or Corned beef on dark Rye with spicy mustard and melty swiss cheese
yellow cupcake w/chocolate frosting
diet peach snapple
wendy's spicy chicken sandwich

My reality is I will probably have a serving of turkey meatloaf, a potato, part of a mango, and either salad or greenbeans :(

I am on it...my staff will have it to you by dawn.

christiangirl 05-11-2009 11:56 PM

I'm usually fine with popcorn and Raisinettes...a hot dog if it's serious. Ooh and don't forget the Cherry Coke!

But if we're talking real food...I want some buffalo wings or some ribs. This is the type of thread where you need lip-smacking to make background noise for the trash-talking.

Beef ribs or pork ribs?

Dionysus 05-12-2009 12:30 AM

I don't have any food, but I have a dutch oven we can prepare it in.

LucyKKG 05-12-2009 12:37 AM

I got a slightly-bigger-than-usual bag of Skittles. Nom...

Anything to help savor the flavor...

christiangirl 05-12-2009 12:54 AM

Mmmm....you know, I've never asked. We have them at every family function, but it never behooved me to question the animal I was eating. As long as it's seasoned properly, I guess.

HA! I know exactly what you mean...I love that size, cause I can always save more for later!

WCsweet<3 05-12-2009 01:15 AM

Milkduds, a chocolate dipped cone from DQ, a hot dog with sauerkraut, pasta salad (without onions if possible) and a giant coke please!

I am avoiding the grocery store with the bulk candy bin. But holy crap all I have had to eat today was an apple, a pear, two biscuits w/gravy, a peach Fresca, a Diet Coke, and WAY TOO MUCH COFFEE. Considering I took an hour nap and have been up since 8 am yesterday, this is no bueno. That's probably why I had music stuck in my head.

I should probably get salty chips just to retain water to rehydrate. But NOM NOM to salami with fresh mozzarella on some sourdough (which I can't get here and you should mail me a loaf of Parisian bread STAT!).

Also I love white chocolate coconut creamer, sadly it is limited edition.

DoubleTDG 05-12-2009 01:42 AM

I am sad, it wont let me read past page two of the post. :(

christiangirl 05-12-2009 02:10 AM

Hey, while we're at it, can we get some Dulce de Leche cheesecake?

MysticCat 05-12-2009 10:22 AM

Okay, what did I miss last night? What went on in the "People of GreekChat" thread?

I was wondering the same thing. Especially since Senusret I (and not a troll) appears to be the one who started the thread.

SWTXBelle 05-12-2009 10:35 AM

It started here: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...d.php?t=105317

Basically (and I simply cannot do it justice) Senusret I and AKA Monet had a bit of a to-do - words were exchanged - hilarity ensued - when the cyber snacks appeared, DrPhil suggested another thread for them, and here we are.

I believe that I should be able to ignore a moderator. Particularly AKA_Monet. Crazy-talk at its finest.

DaemonSeid 05-12-2009 11:13 AM

Hey...People are eating over here...move along!

cheerfulgreek 05-12-2009 11:17 AM

Do you have baklava? Yummy.:)

Nah...we are out right now sorry.

We can have some shipped in, however if you want to make some, help yourself, just make sure you clean up your mess!

eta: it takes too long to make. I thought you would have had some already made up.

What do I look like? An international food service stand???

You had better take this bag of popcorn, candy and a soda and have a seat!

LOL. You know, there are certain people whom I don't formally ignore, but when I look at their posts, all I see is "blah, blah, blah." You know, what some posters say/what GCers hear:

Makes life much easier sometimes. ;)

SWTXBelle 05-12-2009 01:24 PM

Self-ignore

MC, I recommended just that course of action in the now-deleted original thread, but I did not have cute visual aids. We need the Peanuts adult dialogue - Wawawawawa, wawawawawa.

Now, about that cheesecake...

Then you're a better man than I am, lol..... I get tired of reading abusive crazy posts from abusive crazy moderators who give bad advice and recruit people for their mental health websites that they have spammed the board with.

But, the larger issue seems to be, when it comes to usernames with "Moderator" below the name, why is there a username with that title that at least one other username wants to place on ignore? Are GC "moderators" supposed to be above any nonsense, given the we-censor-damn-near-everything-even-the-nonthreatening-stuff nature of GC?

Missed this, but yes.

I say that moderators don't get to be abusive or crazy, particularly when they make a point to threaten prospective members of GLOs, not to mention the public at large.

Straight to the point question:

Which is pissing you off more?

AKA monet or that she is a mod?
