Early Morning Greek Chat

This thread is for between when the after midnight thread closes (I guess 5) and when it's done being the early part of the morning (around 7:30ish)

why are you up so late/early?

I wake up to work out, and then I get to work after my shower (i work from home). I have to redo some spread sheets a little, but that won't take five minutes.

carnation 05-06-2009 06:25 AM

It's a little after 6 AM here and as usual, I'm up early because I have to drive to metro Atlanta to teach. Today it's storming--oh joy.

DaemonSeid 05-06-2009 06:35 AM

the midnight thread closes at Sunrise....lol

PrettyBoy 05-06-2009 06:52 AM

About to head to work in a little bit.

ComradesTrue 05-06-2009 06:53 AM

I have a 6 month old. Her night ends at about 5:30.

PhiSigmaRho 05-06-2009 06:54 AM

Goodmorning! :D

AGDee 05-06-2009 06:56 AM

This is just how I wake up every morning before I start getting ready for work.

DaemonSeid 05-06-2009 08:27 AM

You should rename this thread the "Goooddd MOOOoorrrning GC" thread....

That would be cool

She's a party animal!

KSigkid 05-06-2009 09:34 AM

I usually (although not during finals) get up at 5:30 to go to the gym. It's the only time I can go when I'm in school, and I REALLY need to go to the gym.

tnxbutterfly 05-06-2009 10:27 AM

I usually wake up between 8-8:30. I don't have to be at work till 11:30 and my commute is only 15 minutes.

psychdesire 05-06-2009 11:50 AM

My niece and nephew wake me up .. at 6:30 every morning... agony.

RaggedyAnn 05-07-2009 06:08 AM

I'm an early morning riser-thanks Mom! I can't sleep in, but my husband can. This is my make the coffee, drink the coffee and wake up time.

aephi alum 05-08-2009 05:06 AM

How did it get to be 5am????

Smile_Awhile 05-08-2009 05:12 AM

I JUST finished packing. And my check out is at 9:30, and my car needs to be loaded and the final cleaning needs to be done... and then a 5 hour car ride home.

Good luck! Dorm moves are never fun.

I'm up as usual, trying to decide what to make for breakfast

RaggedyAnn 05-08-2009 05:53 AM

Good morning all! As usual with me, the coffee is brewing, the birds are chirping and the sun is up. My husband was >< close to being a farmer. I could have handled at least the early rising, thought I didn't get the green thumb gene. It's not like I want to be up. The alarm is set for 7 today.

indygphib 05-08-2009 06:05 AM

Leaving for work in a few. Thank goodness this getting up at 5 a.m. crap ends on May 29 - I'll be on summer break until August 10!

tnxbutterfly 05-08-2009 09:18 AM

Morning GC

Just checking the boards trying to decided if I'm going to go to work today. Am suppose to go out of town with mom, but mom couldn't get the day off work. I already took the day off. So go into work or enjoy the day off?

AlwaysSAI 05-08-2009 09:49 AM

^^^Enjoy the day off girl!

WCsweet<3 05-09-2009 10:40 AM

It is Relay for Life!

cheerfulgreek 05-11-2009 05:57 AM

I'm up a little earlier than I need to be for work this morning. I guess I'm just anxious to get the day over with. I only have to work from 8am-12pm today.

luv n tpa 05-11-2009 06:25 AM

I just pulled an all-nighter to complete my last paper for undergrad. Graduation in 4 days!!

AOEforme 05-11-2009 08:14 AM

Biochemistry exam in 4 hours.....

AlphaFrog 05-12-2009 05:30 AM

This is my normal time to be up & around for work, however, on Mon & Tue, the kids stay home with daddy, so I get the mornings to myself.

RU OX Alum 05-14-2009 05:43 AM

Just got done getting dressed after day 75 of daily workouts. (In a row).

I'm going to do some work before I take a nap.

AlwaysSAI 05-14-2009 06:43 AM

I forgot to turn off my 6:30a alarm.

ugh.

AOEforme 05-14-2009 09:03 AM

Physics exam... ugh. I did just finish a Western omlette and bacon though, so that makes up for it (a little bit). Plus, it's lovely out...

PrettyBoy 05-18-2009 06:35 AM

I'll leave for work a little early this morning, so I can grab a cup of coffee. I'm not a big fan of drinking it in the car.

Coffee in the car is usually a bad idea. I don't really like to eat anything in the car, come to think of it.

RU OX Alum 05-19-2009 04:00 AM

Bump for my 80th day in a row of working out!

I'm bad about it - and I let my kids eat in the car too...I usually have a mountain of crumbs when I pull the carseats out to vacuum. I guess it's okay, though, because I bought the Tracker knowing I have two messy kids.:p

I know, I know. But still. McGriddles are good. McDoubles are awesome. Horribly bad for me and might give me diabetes. But still...

Look, I know that patties are like one compound away from being plastic, but almost plastic tastes completely delicious.

agzg 05-20-2009 07:25 AM

I started Yoga this morning but my heart just wasn't in it - I think it's because my body is so sore.

I hope this interview goes well though.

lol lol my God your posts are hilarious!

I wouldn't eat fast food at all, but since you do, it's o.k. to eat it once in a while. I mean, it isn't what you do now and then that counts, it's what you do day in and day out. Once you make it a practice not to eat it as much, your body will adapt to eating well, and eventually you'll find that you won't even have cravings for fast food anymore.

I know it's like almost noon and not "early morning". I just wanted to respond to your post. Your post made my day though.:D

btw: If you don't mind, can I use your post as my siggy for a few days? Hilarious.:p

RU OX Alum 05-20-2009 06:13 PM

^^^sure

RU OX Alum 05-21-2009 06:04 AM

I'm getting better on the eating thing.

It should only be 5 A.M. now, and i've decided it's okay if the sun is up for this thread. Early morning ends at 7ish, I guess. So I've got another hour before mid-morning.
