Worst Fashion Trends.

So in my search for the perfect pink or green sandals for the summer, I have come across a lot of ungood fashion trends.

Case in point:

http://www.shoptheshoebox.com/shared...ize4891-41.jpg

What are some of the worst trends you have seen for this summer, this fall, or from years past?

33girl 04-30-2009 03:55 PM

Short shorts (the dressy kind) with stillettos. YUCK.

IlovemyAKA 04-30-2009 04:03 PM

Im not a fan of open-toed boots. Not only is this ugly, but when are you supposed to wear it?

Little32 04-30-2009 04:05 PM

LOL! Those are hideous.

Really? I actually like that look. Heels are must (for me) for any dressy outfit.

What shoes would you wear with dressy shorts?

Flats. Maybe I need to call them something other than dressy shorts - I mean the shorts like this that aren't cutoffs and aren't bermudas.

Truly "dress" shorts are an absolutely hideous trend that should never be revisited.

Yes.

SAGGING PANTS!!

http://artschoolvets.com/blog/hadnet...04/sagging.jpg

Compared to this pure and utter tomfoolery, I'd rather live in a world where it was mandatory for woman to wear dress shorts and gladiator sandals or open-toed boots for the rest of our natural lives. Hell, bury me in dress shorts and gladiator sandals if that's what it will take to make this trifling BS GO AWAY!!!!! I HATE this nonsense!!!!!!!!

It's obvious that I feel some kinda way about sagging pants, huh? LOL!!! :p

WenD08 05-01-2009 04:15 PM

young women w/the bra straps showing. especially if the bra is dingy or old-looking:mad: such a classless look.

lol--seriously.

I like Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" (lol--She & Jazmine Sullivan are both crazy), but utterly hated this look:

I'm sorry you can't see it well. I just wanted to paste an existing link instead of saving a screenshot & uploading it to photobucket.

Those shorts are not flattering, especially on skinny legs. They wouldn't look good with any shoe

I guess I'm thinking of tighter, shorter shorts with heels. Like hot pants

Smileyface 05-03-2009 09:52 AM

Is it safe to add "quick weaves" to the list?

Little32 05-04-2009 06:29 PM

Not a fan of these either.

IlovemyAKA 05-04-2009 07:52 PM

^^^
lol. I saw those. They just look painful.

Little32 05-04-2009 07:57 PM

Painful and utterly ridiculous. I did pull that pic from the other site.

Umm, I'll have to gently disagree. I've worn mine for nearly four years and mine look natural, like they actually grow out of my hair. Good matching color is the key. I agree that if you throw a Janice Combs-esque Barbie wig over your natural hurr, not good.

Those lattice shoe boots look painful.

utpenguin 05-10-2009 02:19 PM

I hate crocs with a passion. On kids, they're cute. On adults, they just look ugly.

whiteandblack 05-10-2009 09:23 PM

I still hate the low-rider jeans. and the cap sleeves that seem to be in this season.

I was going to throw up a pic of some crocs. They must be comfortable because they sure aren't cute. :D

BahamaMama05 05-10-2009 11:38 PM

I'm sorry, but I couldn't get with the platform gladiator sandals when they first came out. Some of them looked too............busy.

Definitely agree with this. If you can have it placed in neatly, and upkeep is a plus, very stylish

I was referring to those with the tracks showing along the forehead

Agreed.

Just last night, I was in Starbucks and the barista had tracks haphazardly placed all over her head. Gone are the days when one actually attempted to hide her tracks. She CLEARLY had no issue with it. I'm not talking about a few strands of her own hair falling out of place, thus revealing a track. NO! This was blatant, willful, and intentional! There is NO WAY that she could EVER look herself in the mirror and NOT see trackS running from the right side of her head to the left!

Her hair made me sad. :(

Oh yea, i see. Those hairstyles without the natural look are ugly. My sister gave me one of those before, and I wanted to scream.

blatant, willful AND intentional LOL

ATLshawty1 05-15-2009 11:22 PM

Those look like shorts for skinny girls. I could never wear any shorts that short. I'd be showin all my bizness.

ATLshawty1 05-15-2009 11:25 PM

I read someplace that they were trying to ban that look in a city in Texas. I dont think it looks good, but I think that passing a law would be taking it too far.

Now, I like cowboy boots (a country girl) but suede cowboy boots in MAY in Louisiana is not a good look TO ME. I know their feet were burning up. I saw at least 10 girls/ladies with them on at the ballpark...

sorry to barge in, but I think these are verry cute if worn correctly and I don't mind them with heels. I guess it's just me then, I see a lot of yall disagree. That's fine. As far as quick weaves, some are cute, but others like the ones that are on your forehead and you see the rim of the track..NOOOOO. I just look at them like...really? The sagging pants..*rolls eyes* my boyfriends little brother intentionally sags like I know most people do. He buys his pants tooo big, and he will put them on and let them fall to the "natural sag position". I said "natural saggg" And what gets me is how they keep pulling them up when they walk. What's the poinnnnnt??

The muffin top produced by the low-rider jeans on chicks that won't wear their size. Why are muffin tops acceptable? Just buy your real size, not the size you wanna be.

Also, open toe boots.

OhSoVeryLadylike 05-16-2009 12:06 AM

I'm sorry they are UGGS and the logic is boots are designed to keep your body at normal body temperate...so during the summer they keep your feet cool *raised brow*

No pic, but Kevin Federline should be drawn and quartered for introducing he-capris, and this kid who just walked in should be drawn and quartered for wearing them.

I will try to find a pic later.
