Why did you join TKE? I joined because my chapter was informal then and every single brother remembered my name. None of the other fraternites came close. My chapter wasn't the best then but I made the right and best decission. Good things come with time, now my chapter is one of the best.

I was the last man to sign before initiation. While I had never thought of joining a fraternity (my past experiences showed me that the fraternity system here at ISU royally sucked), I decided to go to a "meeting". What impressed me was that everyone had fun just hanging out with each other. Then we passed the gavel, and I saw how much each man meant to the others. This was TOTALLY different than when I'd rushed a couple other fraternities my freshman year. I decided that this is the kind of group I wanted to be a part of...so sined the next night.

you sined? pledgeing TKE is no sin. Just kidding i know you meant signed.

lol sorry...every time I tell that story I get emotional. Sometimes that means I can't type very good.

Don't worry I can't type worth a crap. You can ask my gf on that one.lol

lol I know how that is. When I first got online I'd go into chat rooms....problem is I couldnt' type at all. So I'd type a response to something (fairly quickly I thought) but everyone else would already have been through 6 different subjects.

Well if I type slow I will rarely have errors but I like typing fast so I will have to put up with the errors or have my gf spellcheck it for me.lol

lol...hang in there...before you know it you'll be able to type really fast, and actually be accurate.

I can only hope!!

the "Peanut Butter" was what got me to join after that I started metting the guys and it all just became money

i can only hope that peanut butter is a euphemism for liquor.

Peanut=the ladies or "pussy"
Butter=free beer

A place to party at daily with good friends. Didn't join for the women because I was getting them long before the fraternity. Oh and a word of advice you won't get many women refering to them ass pu$$y. ;)

we dont it is just private slang for our chapter these ladies are beautiful and wonderful girls

That's seriously what attracted you to TKE? Women and beer? I know women are beer are good things, but TKE is so much more for any man I've ever met that is a TKE. It's alot more for me. I wear your letters every day around my neck and now have a ring on my finger...and TKE means the world to me. It sure doesn't mean beer and "stuff" :)

I was 18 and fresh out of high school it was what got me there but when I figured out what a great group of guys I was to be with it is what kept me there

Tri Sigma, you wear TKE letters?????? Holy $&!% If that happened at our school that is really serious. You get your @$$ beat down for that at our chapter. And then after that we'd pull the guy who gave the girl his letters. He'll get tied to something and then anything goes. But to stay on subject, I joined for the parties. All the fraternites here sweat us, we have the best house, best guys, best parties. And let me tell you, we EARN these letters!

Most chapters let the girls wear letters and not the crest. Its a shame that you chapter doesn't . Girls wearing our letters only makes us look better. Nobody is dumb enough to think a girl is a TKE so don't worry about. The crest is another story thats the brotherhood.
