Movies you want to see

There's a "last movie you saw" thread. How about a "movies you want to see" thread.

I would like to see The Watchmen, but I heard it was hard to understand.

K_I_A_Nupe 03-24-2009 11:02 PM

I would like to see "I love you, man"......Looks funny

niknik03 03-25-2009 04:29 PM

I hope you don't mind me posting here but I want to see:

Transformers 2
Wolverine (X-Men)
I Love you Man (commericials sold me)
Fast and Furious
Land of the Lost (just for Will Ferrell)
Saw 6 (Dang Saw man has me hooked)
12 rounds

I'm kind of a Action, Comedy, Horror girl!
Sorry I look at movie release dates!

prettypoodle192 03-25-2009 04:36 PM

last movie I saw was Watchmen. It wasn't my cup of tea but my husband, who is a huge comic book collector, loved it. He tried to explain it to me but I just thought it was too graphic with the violence which normally doesn't bother me. I'm looking forward to seeing new Transformers movie and X-men Wolverine movie though.

G.I. Joe(saw the trailer during the SuperBowl)...if they come out with another movie that reminds me of my childhood, Imma revert back to an 8 yr. old!:p

Oh yeah, I forgot all about GI Joe. I want to see that too, and the new Transformers movie.

Little32 04-08-2009 11:21 AM

The Soloist (so angry that they kept pushing back the release)
Wolverine
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (see parenthetical notes for the Soloist)
Transformers

Can't think of others that I am really anticipating right now.

deltadevil 04-08-2009 12:07 PM

i heard that the movie about Wolverine got leaked over the internet and somebody showed me a site to watch it on so i'm going to check it out later.

I'm not too sure about Obsessed.. It comes out the same day as The Soloist (I think).. Sorry Beyonce`..

delicaterose617 04-22-2009 01:58 AM

Saw is my all time favorite series... His mind is soo twisted

Possibly Obsessed, and the Hauntings in Connecticut

Little32 04-22-2009 11:25 AM

Saw some previews for a film called American Violet. Looks interesting, though I don't go to the movies much for dramas these days.

Still BLUTANG 04-22-2009 01:52 PM

i can't wait for transformers 2 and g.i. joe to come out.

i am also debating whether or not i'll see "knowing"... i heard bad reviews but i love disaster movies.

i *still* haven't seen slumdog millionaire even though it's sitting on my living room table. maybe one day this week i'll block out some time to get it in.

DaemonSeid 04-22-2009 02:26 PM

Got passes to see Star Trek on Thursday...will let you all know how it is.

StillBLU...wait...you love disaster movies or movies that are considered disasters??

Still BLUTANG 04-22-2009 02:44 PM

^^^

lol. a little of both. in *this* case, i meant movies that depict natual (or supernatural) disasters. :p

Ditto to her list, but add GI Joe. As the daughter of an Army man, I always loved GI Joe! Cobra Commander is my favorite villian from the 80s cartoons.

FYI: they pushed HP up two days! :D

My husband and I just went to see "Knowing". It was interesting and had some action scenes, but overall, we didn't like it.

"Slumdog Millionaire" was a great movie; you'll like it!

I want to see: The Soloist, Obsessed, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Transformers 2, Star Trek and G.I. Joe

Soloist is going to be awesome, Jamie Foxx has become an amazing actor. Obsessed in my opinion will be a train wreck, I do not feel that Beyonce is in any way qualified to be an actress. X-men was a good film, especially if you are looking for a thrilling moment of nolstalgia; however, it does deviate from the comics in some areas, but a good film none the less. G.I. Joe has potential potential, even though I question Marlon Wayans' role in the film as Ripcord.

If you are in to comedy, I love you man has decent ratings, and the upcoming Hangover promises to have you laughing so hard your stomach will cramp

Sorry for the long movie critique

Pearlfection08, that movie was a joke ( Obessed) It had a good story line but needed more umph (so to speak) I do'nt want to ruin the movie for anyone else.... but it had its blank moments....its one of those, you can wait for the DVD types.

LOL. Yeah Phi, it looks good. I don't know when it hits the theaters though.

Little32 05-19-2009 07:26 PM

Saw the previews for Terminator Salvation at A&D last week. Wasn't too interested in the last one, but this one looks pretty good.

Also, saw the trailer for Transformers 2, which makes me even more excited for that one.

PrettyBoy 05-22-2009 02:16 AM

I wanted to see Angels and Demons. I ended up seeing it, and I fell asleep. It was that boring.

txdiva 05-29-2009 10:03 AM

The Hangover; it looks pretty funny.

Little32 05-29-2009 12:42 PM

After hearing a review, I think I want to see up. I will probably go and see it when I get back.

Little32 06-25-2009 03:50 PM

Posting after myself again :)

Now that I have seen the preview, I think that I want to see G. I. Joe too.

Hoodini 06-26-2009 01:19 AM

PrettyBoy 06-27-2009 12:31 AM

Though folks at work said it wasn't all that great, I still want to see the Transformers.

G-Kue 1911 11-02-2009 11:03 AM

I read the book years ago - and really want to see it. I may have to catch it on bootleg cause umm, a sista is broke.

G-Kue 1911 11-02-2009 01:14 PM

ROFL...the country is broke. I'm sure there is already a convo going on about the book and probably the movie but how close to the book you think the movie will go? Man....that book had a lot going on!

LOL you aint ever lie! i dunno, my bosses seem to be recession-proof. meanwhile im picking and choosing on my expenses.

I hope that the movie goes IN like the book did. I think Monique will do her part justice. Im looking forward to seeing how the lead does (though, IMO, size aside, she looks too Hollywood for me, i imagined Precious to look a little rougher. interesting as the woman - Gabourney Sidibe, 26 - is from Harlem).

G-Kue 1911 11-02-2009 01:30 PM

We must work for the same company...my boss mentioned going skiing for Thanksgiving with his new jump-off. I was like damn....all I wanna do is see is my mama :D!

I saw the movie trailer before I read the book so all I had was her as the image of Precious. If I see it before you...I'll hit you with a thumbs up or down...lol!
