The Real Housewives of NJ

http://tvwatch.people.com/2009/03/17...s-topheadlines

Premieres May 12th on Bravo!

NinjaPoodle 04-09-2009 03:25 PM

Dina was on another reality show (I recognized her as soon as I saw her), Platinum Weddings.

Smile_Awhile 04-09-2009 03:49 PM

Honestly, I feel like this could be as interesting as Atlanta- these women seem meant for drama.

And did anyone else get the sense of Caroline being a mob queen? I'm sure that's what they were going for, but...

Yes she def. did a wedding show, I thought it was My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding or Bridezillas. Tho Platinum Weddings could be correct - it was a big & beautiful wedding from what I remember. They had so many guests - I remember her now husband making copies of the wedding invitations because he kept inviting more people.

And she kept getting mad about it. :p You know, it might have been Bridezilla but I remember that chick. I think the MTV's "Big Fat Fabulous Wedding" was a different couple but at this point, who knows? These folks, once they do a reality show (Thanks a lot Real World!), it seems like they get stuck in the system, so to speak.

BabyPiNK_FL 04-09-2009 07:39 PM

I'm certain it was Platinum Weddings because I know I saw someone's fiance do that on VH1, but I don't get the stations that play all those other bridal shows.

thetalady 04-09-2009 08:06 PM

How did I delude myself into thinking that RH Atlanta was as trashy as it could get? Silly, silly, silly woman....

Yes! My aunt and I were watching it and I kept saying "what are they are mob or something?" Are there no other housewives in NJ, that 3 of the women are in the same family? I was surprised it wasn't just complete family affair.

I kind of like that twist, honestly. Since it's a larger family, I find it intriguing. Just wait for the family drama to flair up...

texas*princess 04-12-2009 10:26 PM

I will be watching.

I have to say though, I have only seen the "Preview" of the NJ season and already the "happy wife, happy life" saying is on my nerves.

I have a feeling it will be repeated 92348293432 times by that couple!

whiteandblack 04-13-2009 10:57 PM

I will be watching.

ZTAMich 04-15-2009 09:40 AM

New Jersey Housewives’ Jacqueline Laurita Is Pregnant!

Velocity_14 04-15-2009 01:23 PM

I will be watching too.....but still waiting on my girls in the "A"

VandalSquirrel 05-12-2009 09:06 AM

Tonight, woo woo!

BetteDavisEyes 05-12-2009 10:35 AM

I admit I'll be watching. I never watched the Atlanta wives b/c they irritated the hell out of me but I'm curious about these women.

joliebelle 05-17-2009 06:03 PM

Did anyone watch the premiere episode? I saw a rerun of it this afternoon, and I do not like Danielle already

BetteDavisEyes 05-17-2009 08:18 PM

I actually liked Danielle b/c she wasn't the standard mold like the other wives. I couldn't stand the two sisters. To me, they seemed like they believed they were all that amongst New Jersey wives.

Same. She seems legitimately unsound.

BabyPiNK_FL 05-17-2009 09:17 PM

Danielle? I can't stand her. She is an embarassment risk for her children with all the risque things she is putting out there on tv.

She complains about having no money. She talks about her body all the time (her children are a little chubby so I'm wondering if this effects them at all). I wonder if she's going to end up in court in a custody battle any day now because she's letting an AWFUL lot hang out there with regards to money and lifestyle.

I also hate how clingy she is with her friend. You were not invited, you can't go!

texas*princess 05-17-2009 09:54 PM

Danielle needs some serious help!

luv n tpa 05-17-2009 11:44 PM

Well hellooooooooo Albie. ;)

Did I search for him on Facebook? Do we have a mutual friend? Does the mutual friend's sister happen to be in my chapter?

I think that's the sound of my car driving over to Franklin Lakes. :p

No shame.

prettyladie 05-18-2009 01:07 AM

I J U S T watched my first episode. I'm assuming it was a rerun, since I read on here it came on the 12th. Im not sure of the names so bare with me. Jacqueline, the young mom with the 17 year old and the young boy. I like her. She seems to not be so full of drama. The blonde haired girl.. I think is Dina?? Her lips are horrrible. They too poofy. Caroline..yeahh shes a mob queen, and I don't like her accent. Danielle, she seems tooo wild, and reallly desperate. The show does seem good, and I do agree with the other post with being as much drama as the Atlanta group. Sorry to just barge in, but I had to post.

epchick 05-18-2009 03:57 PM

I don't know how I feel about Danielle yet, she is a little too much---especially about the whole online dating stuff. She met him on wealthymen.com or something like that, any random Joe Shmoe can sign up for it. I've never had phone sex, but seriously, how good can it be? You don't even see the person, you're just on the phone with him!

I like Jacqueline and her family. Teresa is a little too much as well, especially with her bratty daughters!!! ugh.

The ones I DON'T like are the daughters--Ashley and Lexie. The whole "if I had an ugly, fat mom, i'd hate it" and "I like my mom is young, she's like the mom from Mean Girls." I hope I don't have to see them very often.

I definitely didn't like the daughters either, talk about obnoxious. Hopefully they'll try to keep them more off-screen since they're younger.

Um you didn't like her accent? She's a dago from Jersey. How the hell did you expect her to talk?

I love Caroline and her family. I think Dina is my favorite because she seems so laidback yet seems like a bitch. The sister in law (Jacqueline?) is my favorite.

Danielle has issues. Big ones. And they're called Eyebrow 1 and Eyebrow 2. Shit lay off the botox.

And I'm a dago from Detroit. I have dago family in Brooklyn & Staten Island. Actually I have family who acts just like Caroline's family and they're not mafia. If you're going to be mad about an Italian comment, be mad about the mafia stereotype. (which I find hilarious)

The term dago when used by Italians usually means "overly" Italian.

Are your shoes Italian? Cuz wherever they go, dago. Ha.

I'm hardly mad about it. I just have never heard the term used so flippantly and was under the impression it was a slur. I'm not Italian and just never knew it was an appropriate thing to say.

BabyPiNK_FL 05-19-2009 10:10 PM

I love how Jacqueline and Danielle are sitting at a table that was obviously put outside. I'm sure it's just that the restaurant has no space or what have you, but they look ridiculous! It's on a relatively busy road and everything!

Older Italian people don't like the term but I think it's lost its negativity.

KSUViolet06 05-20-2009 12:24 AM

I like how these women are so into staying young, but they layout and tan every chance they get.

Skin cancer anyone?

Also, why do they keep saying "boobies" and talking about boobies. Weird.

You mean "bubbies" b/c that's how they pronounce the word.

They are so irritating yet I continue to watch.

ThetaDancer 05-28-2009 01:13 PM

I'm liking this show more and more and am ready for next week's episode! I really want to see how they confront Danielle about her criminal past as Beverly Merrill.

Velocity_14 05-28-2009 01:37 PM

Meeeeeee too:). They were on The "View" yesterday...Caroline, Dina, and Jacqueline.

deepimpact2 05-29-2009 05:45 PM

Should be the Real MOBwives of NJ. I like Caroline the best. So far between this season, and New York and Atlanta,, I like this season the best. At least they actually seem to have money. Deshawn was the only one who really had money on the ATL season.

So because they're Italian and speak with a NJ accent that makes them mafia? Damn my family must be the Gottis!

Don't stereotype if you don't like being stereotyped.

Please quote the post where I said that because they are Italian and speak with a NJ accent, that this makes them mafia. Thanks.

So what makes them mafia then? Mafia is a stereotype as most organized crime these days (and in the past) is not as it is thought of by the general American public. I actually took a class on organized crime in America, so I can back up what I'm saying.

Hey Jacqueline, your daughter isn't passing classes, she is attending summer school, and here is my suggestion as money is not an issue for you: PRIVATE TUTORING. Hell I'd do it, I'm versed in trigonometry and history (except this was a year ago).
