What do you do

when you have fallen in love?

Are there certain characteristics that you exhibit each time you have fallen in love? or whenever you have fallen in love, or thought you had fallen in love?

AKAtude 09-26-2001 09:33 PM

Aaaaahhhhh...love.:D I remember daydreaming, grinning from ear to ear, being forgetful, and had a loss of appetite.:p

ClassyLady 09-27-2001 12:18 AM

All of the times that I thought I was in love I daydreamed about the future http://plauder-smilies.de/love.gif

"I wonder what our kids will look like"
"Mrs. (Insert current beau's name here"
"We'd be such a happy couple"

But, I never did that with my current boyfriend. That's one of the ways that knew it was real with him. He was so different from all the others. I realized that I was in love with him, and with the others, I was in love with the idea of being in love.

SweetestDiva 09-27-2001 12:48 AM

I don't think I've ever been in love, but I have been in "loke"... a not quite love, but a real big liking. Hush and let me make up my words, okay? :p I think the biggest thing was that I couldn't seem to form a sentence/tell a story without "him" being involved somewhere up in there. Drove my friends CRAZY.

Me too!!!

I also start to spend more and more time with him, and less with my friends. This is a behavior that I will try not to do next time.

I think about him when I shop, like, should I get him anything.

I can't focus. I find myself daydreaming at the most inopportune times, lol.

pointNclick 09-27-2001 11:39 AM

when in love....

:) I begin to buy him clothes and cologne.

sistarisin 09-27-2001 12:25 PM

scene from Jerry Maguire...

Corny as it may sound... I think I knew it when I could let him go and wish him the best relationship EVER!!! Meaning I learned to love unselfishly. If we weren't gonna be together I would still love him and hope that he finds his soulmate.

We're still together after 2 years!!!!

Everything that everyone else has already mentioned. The dealbreaker, however, is when I find myself putting up with any garbage from him that I know I would NEVER take from anyone else. By that time, I know I've let my guard down TOO much. At that point is when I tell him to get the hell on!

(Go 'head, ... you can call me the Queen of ol' skool GC posts. :D)

Wonderful1908 06-26-2007 10:30 PM

You know I haven't falling in love in years but I am of course in love with my husband.

You know how I know I love him? No matter what it is, where we are, or how happy or mad I am at him, I am always glad to see him walk in the room. :o Its been like that since freshman year at good old SU in 95. I remember him coming back from a band trip like a month after we were dating and I just was glad to see him walk in the room.

Corny and way to cheesy for our style we are so not emotional but he would probably vomit if he saw I typed this! :p

That's me in a nutshell, in addition to some of the other stuff mentioned. :D

Now, I remember when I fell in love with my husband. The turning point was when we were still in undergrad and he was about to graduate, I needed help on a take home accounting exam so he assisted me. Mind you we were up to about 3:30AM and he had a 5 page paper (that had not been started) due at 9AM

sAKAsfaction 07-05-2007 09:22 AM

I've only been in love one time (still am in love :D) but I've noticed that even when I'm really mad at him, I'm still happy to see him when he comes back from being away.

Go figure .

Oh yea, and since falling in love, I've also noticed that I don't hate watching Sports Center as much! LOL

Maat 07-05-2007 12:36 PM

i get really REALLY in tune with the person, nurturing and attentive. definitely expressive of my feelings and trying to be encouraging to them. basically i try to 'love' them to a new level of being thmeselves if that makes sense. i can also be kinda mushy, sensitive, spoiled, and maybe a tad possessive. i love hard, but i love well.

Both... In the back on my mind, I am formulating a plan that my lover (husband) would have every reason to be with me. I want to be his Earth, Moon, Sun, Stars and Universe. When I love him, I am going to make sure is fulfilled with the exception of God.

Reality: God would not put me with someone who does not love me in return. God would not waste my efforts, time or energy.

I'm with you on that one. I've sacrificed any carnal desires to the point of NO EXPERIENCE for the sake of meeting The One when he finally comes, so I too, have been practicing Kegal exercises, ... albeit with no frame of reference to rely on. Hm, ... maybe God feels I'm still not quite ready, as He has yet sent him on. ~sigh~ I guess I'll just have to keep practicing. ;)

Hunny, that's why you can buy battree operations  :p

No, seriously, a man just does not pop into your life and bam, it is magical! But, there is no reason why he leaves you due to "performances"... Essentially, practice makes perfect. But if you choose to go that route, protect yourself at all times. Use every device...

Astroglide has more than one use and flavor for that matter...

And chocolate can be painted on...

And Ready Whip... Well, let's leave that to our imaginations.

Men are generally visual learners when it comes to affairs of the heart...

Infamous12 07-06-2007 12:00 PM

Wow...

At the end of this thread I feel we need to have out pamphlets on how to be safe, lol. As well as complimentary products, lol :p

No shame in the game though, I too practice Kegel. It's a part of my 'workout' routine while sitting in my office at work.

Ditto to what everybody else said. Also, I always want to buy him clothes that I know he'd look good in.

Out of line! You're on a roll tonight.

DELTABRAT 07-07-2007 10:27 AM

Hhhhmmm...perhaps I am the only one who starts formulating my plan for escape.

I am a committment phobe and not "the marrying type" so if I am walking around all starry eyed over HIM then I am usually cool...nothing in my world really changes. If he's on the same page, I am scared sh**less, then normally begin to try and sabotage the relationship every chance I get.

Interestingly enough, I am a serial monogamist and am usually in relationships no less than 3 years at a time...I have no idea why thy stick around.

Ah, to be a committment phobe. It's the life I dream to have. Years and years of flaming independence, ... free from all heartache and pain, ... no need to find happiness in another, ... total elimination of heartbreak, conflict, and divorce, ... ah, yes, ... the committment phobe. It is the only way to complete and utter happiness. One day, I will obtain this level of enlightenment. ;)

If I had an alterego she would be such the committment phobe, however I am stuck with the ego that seeks committment:rolleyes::o
