Yay, I signed up!

I'm always really bad at picking teams though.

ZTABullwinkle 03-10-2009 08:24 PM

I'm in. Even though I don't think Duke has a chance at making it very far.

Kappamd 03-10-2009 08:27 PM

I'm in to win.

AOIIalum 03-11-2009 07:05 AM

I'm in, although Kentucky won't even be dancing unless they pull off four wins in a row this week. Oh well, at least WKU made it in last night!

deltadevil 03-11-2009 12:29 PM

That was an awesome game!!! I hope Syracuse doesn't have fatigue today when they play. I think UConn still has a chance to get a #1 seed in the Big Dance but that's on shaky ground now, and Pitt has definitely lost their #1 seed.

I say they'll go the elite 8 at best. They might be able to go further. Scheyer can't go cold. Singler and Henderson both have to play smart basketball and not get stupid fouls. And Duke fans need to hope Nolan Smith can come back for the big dance, since he is still questionable for the ACC tournament. But the freshman kid Williams, is a good player as well. Look for Duke to be a dark horse to the Final Four.

Is there a space on the bracket for the #1 PERP?

You realize that Pitt was ranked higher than UConn going into the Big East tournament and that it beat UConn twice during the year, right? I mean, I'm a diehard UConn fan, but even I'm not delusional enough to think UConn has a better shot at a #1 seed than Pitt.

ZTABullwinkle 03-14-2009 04:29 PM

YAY! Florida State knocked off UNC. Makes me a happy Duke fan. Now, Duke just needs to beat Maryland, and that isn't going to be easy.

Agreed. I mean weirder things have happened, but I have seen no brackets with Pitt out as number one and a couple analysts that have UConn as a two seed.

Lunardi has it pegged at a 50% chance that UConn still ends up as a 1 seed.

PeppyGPhiB 03-14-2009 08:36 PM

I have a good feeling about UW this year.

ZTABullwinkle 03-15-2009 06:13 PM

Congrats Duke Blue Devils, winners of the ACC tournament.

deltadevil 03-15-2009 06:28 PM

Mississippi State Bulldogs are the SEC tournament Champions and congrats to Alabama State for winning the Swac championship

DaemonSeid 03-15-2009 07:18 PM

Wow!!

Morgan earns 1st MEAC win

UCONN got a #1 seed too! Big East is all over the tournament. Penn State got left on the sidelines, unfortunately. :(

Kappamd 03-15-2009 11:07 PM

Penn St. is a #2 seed in the NIT though, so they're not done yet.

I feel like this is the year for a 13 seed to beat a 4. Hopefully? Maybe?

Sigh, probably not.

Hey I screwed up my bracket and had Akron win :) I've just never been very good lol, I always pick the teams I like and not the ones who are likely to win (for the most part because I do despise Pitt and I still had them winning a bit)

deltadevil 03-16-2009 12:11 AM

i just finished my brackets. I have north carolina as the winner of the ncca tournament against memphis =)

I'm definitely happy about UConn, but sorry about your boys at Penn State. Maybe next year...

AOIIalum 03-16-2009 03:09 PM

Okay, forget the silly NCAA brackets. Where's the NIT bracket contest?

Yes, I'm actually being serious...if my team is playing in the NIT, I must complete a bracket somewhere...

It should be posted on their website www.nit.org

I don't have the Pitt related issues, but I have the same problem with teams I like.

I can't be rational about it.

deltadevil 03-16-2009 08:52 PM

i took a wild risk on my bracket. I put that alabama state or morehead state is going to beat louisville.

LOL I know, I have all five Ohio teams winning in the first round. Plus Xavier winning their region. And Akron beating both Gonzaga and Illinois, I can dream right? :D But hey Belmont only lost to Duke by two last year so it can happen!

GeekyPenguin 03-17-2009 11:03 PM

I'm in. :D

ZetaGirl22 03-17-2009 11:12 PM

Im just happy Maryland is in. And a 10 seed at that. Wow. Im extremely happy with that. I think we have a shot against Cal, but second round we will face Memphis in all likelihood, and that my friends, is a pipe dream at best.

DolphinChicaDDD 03-18-2009 10:37 AM

Yahoo isn't working for me right now...I'll have to remember to do it tomorrow morning.

deltadevil 03-19-2009 07:12 PM

well mississippi state has been knocked out of the competition by Washington. That makes me want to cry

I've got my bracket on facebook and I have picked UNC to win it all. It would be sweet if all 5 ohio teams got through the first round.

tnxbutterfly 03-19-2009 08:25 PM

I'm in first place after the first round. Yea me. I just lest yahoo pick for me and made some minor changes. I'm going to enjoy going 8 for 8 while I can.:D:eek:

Have you seen my bracket? I was high on Bulldog love. I have them going crazy far. (well actually, just beating Washington and Purdue.)

Rats.

Lol I did the same exact thing. Im about to go check on my brackets right now.

lovespink88 03-19-2009 08:45 PM

Of the four games that are on right now, all four teams I picked to win are losing. I suck at this.
