Two orgs I hadn't heard of before....
Pi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Inc. and their sisters Theta Lambda Delta Sorority, Inc.
|
GAMMA MAN!!!
|
I don't really understand their history.
|
Okay. These are their national websites and not their chapter websites, correct?
All I could think was THUG PASSION when I looked at the frat. The sorority is only a little better. Horrible national websites. |

I wonder which orgs the founders and the majority of the membership are rejects from? |
Lockdown: Extended Stay
ETA: I dunno, but why does this always happen in Michigan? Also, it appears like the fraternity they left? is still in existence. I think they just wanted to be like Myra and nem. |
Michigan gives rise to a number of things. Chalk it up to a constantly semi-struggling economy regardless of the national economic climate. Aren't they were The Sleepers, etc. are?

I love the Quiet Storm instrumental on that website.
I don't like music on national websites, though. |
^^^ Me either. We got the pa rum pa pum pum version of the hymn on ours now.

Dang soror, I never noticed that!!!

Something about a sorority that "caters to plus size women" just rubs me the wrong way....
|
^^^ Which GLO is that?

You are right about that! I think the problem comes when you try to rush and do things...it just looks better done professionally the first time. I'm proud of our progress so far!

And we can't judge an organization based on looks, but you can? Hypocrite. Quote:
How does a non-member know other groups' standards and whether or not they're being lived up to? Quote:

Way too much going on here... |

Granted, I did a brief review of the previous posts but I don't see anywhere that anyone called your Sorors out for being fat, ugly, etc. Those words came from YOUR mouth, so I suggest you deal with your insecurities appropriately. What people HAVE been saying is that when developing your national website, more consideration for what is and is not appropriate for such a site should have been undertaken. Be it from the ground up in a new organization or not, there is no excuse for half assed work and inappropriate content no matter how old the organization is. But, if as members you are 100% satisfied with the content and design then so be it, and no matter what anyone has to say about it, stay satisfied with it. And you are in no place to say what individuals do and don't do within their organizations and what was given to them upon membership because you DON'T know what Joe Schmoe Alpha and Jane Doe Sigma were given and have worked for as members of their respective orgs. |

you know that's going in the new siggy right? Quote:
then again, your whole organization lacks originality. you cant talk mess about orgs, yet your handsign resembles a cross between Zeta and K-Sweets. or maybe a convienent case of artheritis. and your Photo section is a hot mess. you surely dont expect me to believe those were the finest Facebook pics you could copy and paste, right? anyway, Soror Ch2tf said it best- no one was talking sh*t abt you, but there is a standard that ppl expect from a national website. |
You must have not read through the entire thread but yes she did say that an org that caters to big girls rubs her the wrong way.
|
Quote:
ETA: And on top of that, she wasn't even talking about your organization! Stirring up all this shit for no reason  |
I am not stirring up anything...I was directing that to whoever said it; those are all stereotypes that I have heard from members of D9 orgs...the point was to show you all how these petty stereotypes (which yes, should have been put in quotations) do nothing. Nor am I saying that these rumors are true...excuse my typing...of course I know that sgrhos are the youngest sorority not org. My intent is not to cause any drama, but I will defend my organization until the very end just as any of you would do for yours.
As for addressing the pics on the website, yes we will be changing then as any org updates their pictures. Instead of trying to advise or encourage new orgs you all are choosing to tear them down. |
Quote:
It's also funny that you're preaching about not promoting stereotypes when your original response was filled with them. |

I wrote the relp on my phone so there are several spelling and gramatical errors, including the lack of quotation marks before and after the stereotypes that I listed. That signifys that those are not stereotypes that I am in agreement with, and futhermore when I said to worry about your own org and its problems that was not dedicated to any one particluar organization. My entire response was not dedicated to the sgrho...you may have misunderstood me but my passion still remains...Im not sorry for my tone at all. Once again if advice is what you intend on giving that is appreciated if its hate and disrespect it will not be tolerated and will be met with the same disrespect.
