Ok guys we have done drinks but does anyone have any interesting drinks that they have made or discovered that are just awesome?? I have had one that I absolutly love! It was made by some friends of mine and yes it is alcoholic but they named it Yank Me Crank Me funny name but anyways it contains Vodka, Everclear, Madori*cant spell it* and Country Time Lemonade mix or something. It's a pretty tasty drink and surprisingly you can hardly taste the alcohol in it!! But just thought I would share and if anyone else knows any good recipes for maybe a party or something and would like to share that would be great!!!!

Yeesh...Everclear.

We usually only drink Everclear once a year at July 4th. I don't know how strong it is, but I do know that it's the kind that most states are forbidden to sell because it's so darn strong. They're very available on most military package stores, however. One shot of EV is enough to make you pass out for the weekend!

One of my favorite drinks is PFM...Pure F'n Magic. It's basically just fruit punch and every kind of rum available. Drinking half a cup gives a good buzz...and that's when I call is MFG..Mutha F'n Good.

BC Growers Hard Cider (apple or peach)
Kokanee
Coors longnecks
Heineken
Steinlager
Straight shots of (Smirnoff) vodka
And any fairly decent Syrah or Merlot red wine...no Carlo Rossi.

Worst drinks that I've had experience with:
Bacardi 151
Monarch tequila
McCormick's (cheap whiskey in a PLASTIC bottle)
"boilermakers"
and, to take the cake....a 40 ouncer of 211 Steel Reserve.

My fav drinks:

Amaretto Sour
Equator Equador (this bar called the Latin Quarter makes it.....it's tastes like you're drinking a very sweet banana...so good!!!)
Melonball (midori with orange juice I think)
Blue Hawaiian
Mudslide
Lemondrops (lick some sugar and then take a shot of Bacardi Limon)

worst drinks:
Jack and coke or rum and coke....I think it tastes like a$$
Maddog (cheap wine...gives a nice buzz though)
Old English (some of the cheapest beer around, gets you drunk quick...if you can actually swallow it!)

And I will be LEGALLY allowed to drink all of these in February!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

OTW, afaik, Everclear is 160 proof. Pure alcohol is 180 proof. Vodka is 80 proof. Tequilla is 100 proof. Everclear is flamable. It says so on the bottle.

When I was the only one 21, I refused to buy everclear for anyone. I'm not going to put something that dangerous in the hands of anyone I care about.

Juniorgirl: are you sure Everclear is 160 proof? And not 180? I don't know myself just was wondering if you were sure. I've had straight everclear shots before . . . nasty. Bacardi 151 isn't much better . . .

ZetAngel: Someone one day will have to give me a better idea of what a$$ tastes like, cause everyone uses the expression, and I always wonder at the level of their personal knowledge:eek: . USually though its like, "wow this tastes like A$$, here try it." And I always answer: "No!".

Coolests effect for Jungle Juice with Everclear or whatever was when they put dry ice in the bottom. So here is this wierd green slimey stuff with a hell of a kick that has something that looks like toxic smoke coming from it.

we call it the Sockembopper.

What is it you ask?

Well, it's 1 part vodka (absolut usually) 1 part everclear and a whole lot of berry or fruit punch flavored juices..mix them together and fill a glass about 3/4 full. Then carefully place a thick piece of towel over the top of the glass, until it sinks down and barely touches the top of the drink, Slowly pour in remaining vodka ( I strongly advise against using everclear for this stage, I've done it before and well, that was the first time I had to get my stomach pumped :() So you fill it up to about the top..slowly take out the towel and you have this layer of vodka sitting on top of the drink...it looks awesome (also done with orange juice, not mixed with anything= called a machine.) So you slam this sucker down (note not only is there the vodka on top of the drink, but also in the drink.) Continue slamming until drink is gone, you won't taste the alcohol if you drink it fast enough...wait a while and you will be completely ripped!!!!

haha A friend of mine just made something that tastes really good! She put Rasberry Smirnoff twist*Vodka*:) and a blue slush puppy together! it's awesome! You can't even taste the vodka at all! Its just a blue rasberry yummy drink!!:D

Personally (and thankfully), I wouldn't have the knowledge to know what a$$ tastes like. I can only assume that it tastes like Jack and Coke. But, there are some people out there who do know what it tastes like.......(I think that one is better left up to the imagination though).

I think this thread originated as being more about original or unusual drinks... so in that vein...

Romulan Ale: This is a shot. Part vodka, part blue curacao, part lime juice. Adjust the ratios depending on how strong or sweet you want. Try 1/3 of each to start.

Hot Jala: This is a Babylon 5 reference... Place in a mug, 1 shot Bailey's and 1 shot Kahlua. Fill with hot chocolate, and sprinkle with cinnamon. (Good winter drink :) ) We also used to do hot jala shots, which is Bailey's, Kahlua, and a dash of cinnamon, no chocolate.

A friend of mine is really into cement mixers... Bailey's and lime juice... YUCK!!!

And remind me to tell you my Long Island Iced Tea story one of these days... :)

actually...there is a form of Everclear out there (yes there is more than one form) that is extremly lethal if you drink too much...it's just over 90% alcohol..i think it's 93.5 or 94%....tastes horrid..but yet, I drink it..when I can get my hands on it..seeing as it's illegal to purchase in my state.

Damasa, the form of everclear you are talking about is 191 proof. The stuff is godawful tasting but it doesn't take very much at all to feel it.

I did half a shot of that with a glass of coke and already felt buzzed last time I had the stuff

Back in college this one restaurant had a drink called a Pirate Skull. I'm sure it was a specialty of that one place because nobody I've ever talked to has ever heard of it.

It was made of Barcardi 151, Southern Comfort and Grapefruit juice. Two or three of those and it was "Goodnight Sweethart."

When I'm on the road, I sometimes drink an Old Fashioned. It's made of bourbon, bitters, a muddled cherry and soda water. It's like experiencing a new drink everytime, because a lot of bartenders don't know how to make them, and they always taste different.

My fave is a drink called a "Madras."

It consists of vodka, OJ and a splash of cranberry juice. Try it with the raspberry twist Smirnoff Vodka (yum!). ;)

Shots; Jagier, Tokillya,Ouzo, or Sillyobitch! Oh yes different nights not the same night!

One of the most refershing, Lemonade, vodak, grendine, and marichino cherry sitting on the veranda surveying the estate, of course that was when Iwas married! I a land and time far, far away!

Kick ass, Demitris Special, Greek Brandy,Ouzo, blended in ice cream, in a parphet glass, limit of 3 a night!:D

Where i could from we do prairie fires with 1/3 tabasco.

Birthday's are a favorite time for my friends to give me new and sometimes unusual drinks.... I've gone the praire fire route - they actually light mine on fire and i had to blow it out before i drank it...

three wisemen is the most godawful shot i've ever taken.. yuck

car bombs are fun.... drop a shot of baileys into a pint of guiness and drink up!

i've had a lunchbox too.. but i forgot what was in that...

Prarie Fires are miserable! Last year when we made them we had a photo of our faces/reaction taken just to see how awful it was. We were not disappointed! It looks better than it is, and it looks pretty damn disgusting, especially if you don't mix it up much. I honestly think I'd rather slice my wrists than bear that drink again. You're insane, but I bet that'd make you fun to party with, so right on! Cory

Actually I am more of a beer drinker. Cheep beer. Keystone Light. Live for the stuff. I also do the other end of the spectrum, Schiner Bock. Good stuff.

when not in a beer mood, or having a REALLY bad day, I'll take a Grapefruit and Stoli. good stuff too...;)

Yeah girl, but that stuff will mess you up FAAST. Practically guranteed to make ya puke too.

Where the %@!# is my car. Seriously, a real drink me and a friend learned while in spring break back in 95. No idea what was in it, but it was nasty and sobered me up pretty quickly (I threw that and everything else I drank that night).

So I'm sitting in our local watering whole drinking the local special: Which is, Drum Roll Please, Rum and Coke (although I get Diet coke, got to watch those calories) and being a GC addict my thoughts stray to this post.

And I start thinking: wow I'm sucking A$$ through a straw, and I'm loving the taste and feel of it! As I look around the room I see a bunch of other people loving A$$ as well . . . although some of the women were wincing a bit, and I'm not sure if that meant the drink was to strong, or A$$ wasn't agreeing with them . . .

So I start laughing (gibbering in public for no reason like a psychotic) and of course I can't explain why I am laughing . . . which makes me laugh harder . . .

Anyway, gee thanks ZTAngel for ruining my fav drink!:)

The wisemen are a staple of 21st birthday celebrations worldwide, I believe . . . nasty ish, but definitely puts some hair on your . . . something.

Around here, they do car bombs by dropping 2 shots of Irish whisky into a pint of guinness, then chugging it - dropping bailey's in is called a nutty irishman. I'd guess that's due to the irish traditions in boston, and maybe aided by the fact that Mass has the highest incidence of alcoholism in the free world.

Beer is the only thing worth drinking in my opinion.

Normally I am a good ole bottle baby, I love my bud light bottles, but when I wanna drink....

I have to tell you about my new favorite shot. It's called a Chocolate Cake. It's half Frangelico and half Vodka. You down the shot then suck on a sweetened lemon. You wouldn't believe it but it ends up tasting just like a bite of chocolate cake. I swear you have to try it!!

Right now, my current favorite drinks (non-beer of course) are SoCo and lime, Limon and sprite, and good ol' beam and coke . . . that, or Drano.

Yummy drinks:

Mimosa's, bombay sapphire and tonic, bloody mary's (only when hungover)
bud light for when I just want to get drunk and rowdy :)

Icky drinks:

prarie fire's, liquid cocaine, b 52's, long island teas(uggghhhh...so bad..) :(

for whomever was asking about shot blocks-they are a beautiful thing..yes indeedy...:)
