Here's the new batch...didn't see it here already. Apologize if it has!

Pretty 'ho-hum' to me. Fo is different than the usual group. Jessica's pic makes me think of Meghan Fox. Teyona is cool eyes. I like Tahlia tho, she looks interesting.

OH, and Sao Paulo, Brazil is the international location.

All the girls look really old, IMO...definitely not as pretty as previous contestants. I hope the makeovers are interesting.

Me too! She reminds me of Nazri, Michael Knight's model from Project Runway. I loved her.

I agree - I don't really get a good feeling from any of them.

And the show starts in about three weeks - Feb 25th!

The girls are pretty meh this year.

It's okay, though. I just watch for Nigel anyway.

Here's my take on them. (Cause I know you care...)
Oh Tyra, you're so full of yourself.
Allison - awkward
Celia - I think her jaw just makes her face look odd.
Isabella - looks like she's trying too hard to be angsty
Fo - She's pretty, but who does she remind me of?
Kortnie - Stop the eyebrow thing! Can't wait to see what they do to her hair.
Jessica - A little different looking without being icky, but could go either way when you see her in action
Tahlia - Her smile and chin positioning look uncomfortable. Probably won't photograph well
Nijah - pretty but looks like a bitch. Hey, some people have bitchy faces though! (One of my friends does, and she's not a bitch!)
Teyona - her head doesn't look proportionate with the rest of her body
Natalie - meh
London - I have a feeling she's gonna be awkward on the show
Sandra - Ooh, like her but I can already predict what they're gonna do with her hair...
Aminat - Omg Tyra, get out of my head: Fierce!

Just based on pictures, but I think Kortnie and Celia are gonna be dubbed "plus size."

Ha! They're completely normal-sized...but yeah, I know what you mean.

None of them really look exciting but maybe the makeovers will help.

I agree, but I feel that sometimes the makeovers make the girl look worse!!:eek:

I mean, none of the winners have had stellar international modelling careers like Cindy Crawford, Elle McPherson, Gisele Bundgsen(?sp) and Kate Moss.

That's true, but I feel like those gals are a rare occurance anyway. As in, there are only a few of them in the world, so I'm not surprised none of the winners have reached that level of fame. I will say that there have been a few that, from what I can tell, seem to be fairly successful - Eva, Naima, and Dani come to mind.

You're right. I guess it's just that every week Tyra makes it seem like being "her" top model is the "be all - end all" thing a girl can do. Quite frankly many of the models on her show are 'ho-hum', really not that spectacular.

Allison is insane in the previews -- talking about how she likes nosebleeds and all.

Predictions: Sandra is going to be this cycle's "Bianca." Seizure girl's going to have a seizure. Someone's going to "come out" and London will preach at them causing conflict a la Cycle 1. I'm really excited Tahlia's there, but I feel like she's not going to make it because of both her burns nd her body type.

I like Allison, creepy obsession with nosebleeds and all. Her eyes are just beautiful.

I really, really like Celia. She looked very good in the runway show and just seems to have a good personality. Allison did creep me out at first but I do like her now. I also love Jessica and Fo.

I hate Sandra. She just really irritates me. I would have much rather had Isabella stay.

As long as Angelea didn't stay I was happy.

Does she have a self awareness problem or what??? She thinks she's this great model and better than anyone else, but her runway performance was a joke, she didn't even walk to the end and what little she walked was dismal, then her picture was BORING!!

While Isabella's picture was weird looking, her runway was much better (even with the strobes, which I guess could definitely be an issue for future bookings if it is a common use for the catwalk).

She should have stayed - but DRAMA is the name of the game on these shows!!!

I was surprised they didn't keep ghetto buffalor girl, but maybe they were worried they'd have a real smackdown and it could lead to liability issues..

Ugh, I can't stand Sandra. What is with her acting all high and mighty in the house, but when actually doing shoots or runway or in the judging room she's a totally different person? There's obviously some insecurities there.

I'm okay with Angelea not making it - I didn't really see a lot of potential in her. I'm glad Celia made it though - I like her a lot. And Fo too.

As soon as it was down to Sandra and Isabella, I knew Sandra would be staying for exactly that - teh dramaz. Isabella was too nice and eager (but I loved her!)

Which of the judges was it that said London's not as preachy as she thinks?? ITA. Her "street preaching" sounded like she pulled it out of her @ss. I liked her though.

Dear Tyra: please stop casting a "black bitch" EVERY SINGLE SEASON.

I thought many of the girls looked much more attractive on TV than in the pictures that are posted at the beginning of this thread. So far, I like Celia, Fo, and Jessica.

It's so funny how opinions change when you see them on TV. I actually LOVED Celia on the show, although her picture didn't impress me. I was bummed that Sandra was such a biatch, because I did like her picture. I really like Fo still, and I thought Aminant really rocked the runway fashion show. Nigel is right though, if they want to make it, they've got to stand out early.

I'm betting Isabella probably didn't stay because there are many many assorted strobes and lights and flashing things involved in modelling. They were probably afraid she'd have a seizure and sue them or something.

Finally watched it on DVR last night. Not surprised at all that Isabella went home. She was just forgettable.

I like Fo and freckles. Just like 33girl, I like saying "Fo" too.

I also like Allison and her Kerokerokeroppi eyes.

I LOLed at that one too! I'm loving this season and totally loving to hate Sandra. Ugh. She won't win.

Sandra honestly reminds me of, OMG what is her name, the girl from Danielle's cycle. She wanted to get her brothers and sisters from Africa. Well whatever her name was. Just the high and mighty attitude.

I love Allison. She is just rocking. Her eyes are amazing. I think she will go far. Honestly, I can't quite predict who will be in the final four right now.

Well... she does well in photos, she could step up her runway... but she is only getting passed video and commercial challenges if someone screws up worse...

it is hard to tell who will make it to the final this early, but you can tell who won't... tahlia and fo do not have the confidence... Kortnie, Nijah and Natalie are going to struggle to step out of the crowd... allison will have trouble with speaking or gosees ... and sandra will be too cocky...

thus I am going to put money down that it will be one of these four... London, Celia, Aminat and Teyona

My money's on Celia, if she doesn't get called out for looking too old (which so far hasn't be a problem, but I'm betting someone will say it eventually).

I originally wanted Jessica to win... I thought she was GORGEOUS and the fact that she was from Puerto Rico was a big plus for me... :) Also, did anyone think she looked a tad bit like Adriana Lima? Like just in the eyes and face shape... I dunno there's times where there would be a glimpse of her on camera, and I thought she looked like her.

Anywho, I wasn't too sad when she left. Her personality kinda sucked...

I really like Fo & Celia the best right now. There's a few others I don't mind either, like Kortnie, Aminat, Natalie, London...But I really do not like Allison at all. I've like some of the "unusual" girls in the past, but I just don't like her...I can't put my finger on why...

Sandra looks like a drag queen in her picture, and Natalie needs to be punched in the face.

ETA: What's with Miss J's bowl cut?

There seem to be a lot of really weak girls this season. As much as I admire Thalia's strength, there is no way she would be on the show without her story. She is a pretty, regular-sized girl who is not photogenic. Allison and Teyona either look great or terrible in their photographs - they are very inconsistent. I like Allison's look but feel she doesn't know how to control it. I still don't understand why Kortnie is there - she doesn't look or photograph like a model and something about the shape of her head bothers me. LOL Fo is adorable but not model material.

I didn't like Celia at first, but she looks sooo much better with her new haircut, plus she takes great pictures. I am loving London - she photographs really well and has a great personality. I also like Aminat, Natalie, and Sandra in pictures, but think they have some personality issues to work on. I hope this isn't one of those seasons that gets super-boring because no one is that good.

Could McKey's commercials BE anymore boring??? She has no personality or inflection.
